First Latin America shares similar customs and for people to state that "they stole" a the dress attire from another country is I just silly. Lets embrace our Latino brothers and sisters and stop hating on each other.
the song is titled "el sombrero azul" originally interpreted by Ali Primera, there are many versions of it made by different groups or singers, the one here is by Salsa Clave. :)

Esa canción fue hecha por un venezolano dedicada a El Salvador, el grupo Salsa Clave le puso el ritmo de cumbia. La música folklórica de El Salvador se llama Xuc (por supuesto es distinta a la cumbia). Los trajes son los típicos, y se parecen o son iguales a todos los centroamericanos y mexicanos.
its not Mexican influence, Its Latin America's influence from Spain. No es la influencia de Mexico si no la de Espagna sobre los paises Latino Americanos.

Why can't all is beautiful Latino Americanos get along? Our countries aren't even far from each other. I agree it's the damn Spanish influence, know your history. I would have loved to have seen authentic dances from El Salvador but the white people erased our history. This will suffice.

Nomas porque bailan al son de lamusica cubana y colombiana, pero ese estilo me parece muy mexicano.
