I got all this done I.e Account opening, Debit Card, Credit Card enrollment, Netbanking activate in 15-20 mins that too in 2013 in ICICI Bank.. got credit card delivered at home within a week .. I must say Indian banking system is at par with world sometimes even better given the fact how much volume Indian banks handle.

You are right, in a lot of areas Indian banking system is much better and cheaper than western countries. I have seen it very closely because my father worked in a Govt bank for 35 years and retired as an AGM. But it doesn’t mean everything is perfect in India.
We should be mature enough to take criticism of things in a positive way and try to improve on areas where improvement is needed. Being too defensive about criticism is the main reason things never improve.
As an example I had a housing loan from HDFC, how long do you think I should wait for my registry of house after paying off the loan. I had to wait 1 month and visit at least 20 times. The office just kept on saying kal ana parso ana. I am not saying everyone faces same problems.
But if you take a vote there will be more people facing such issues even in private banks. People have become so much used to sub par services that it didn’t look like a problem anymore.

I think your analysis of India and Canada bank is one way.
Canada's bank are able to provide these services because they are charging the same way.
If you go to private banks in India like DBS, YES, HDFC you will get smooth service as in Canada.
Or you can imagine otherwise, could Canadian bank be able to provide same service as they are providing currently to you if there is same crowd as in India in the schemes like 'Jan Dhan Yojana/zero balance account'

Hi Ravish, can you have a separate video explaining how medical insurance works for your parents, is the government insurance enough or have you purchased additional private one to cover major illness in future. And how private insurances work, their average prices for the elderly and if your job insurance covers parents as well. Thanks

G1-written exams are walk-in. I would suggest you to go to your nearest drive test center as early as in the morning to avoid line ups. 🙂
They are not doing walk in during covid
Yes, they are accepting walk-ins except these locations drivetest.ca .
Yesterday only my wife had G-2 test in Ottawa’s center and people were lining up for G-1.

Not agree ! In India go to private banks such as HDFC, HSBC, ICICI their services are excellent and bank account opening is very convenient with minimum charges. Thanks

Ravish paaji G1 to dena hee padega which is written test.. G2 can be exempted on the basis of Indian DL abstract but there is a validity of that document too. So please try to book G1 first and then G (road test) as soon as possible. All the best!!

@@RavishVlogs oh ok, didn’t know that but I love banking with them as there are no fees associated with them. After a year if you want to avoid fees you will have to go to all the pain again to open new account and re do everything

Hi Ravish , how long did it take for the SIN nu er to arrive in online application?
From my experience, phone appointment is faster than online application.
Also for driving test - You can book it with drive test centre, they are open.
Still pending. It is taking 2-3 weeks

I went to HDFC in Delhi where I had a housing loan. I paid off the loan had to visit at least 20 times to get my registry back so I could sell my house. It only took 1 month after I paid off my entire loan.

Biggest reason for the banking experience would be the population I think....
American/Canadian banks dont pay any interest on your deposit, infact they charge a monthly fee for services
