I love that el-p explained that his opinion on the horns wasn't meant to be taken personally. He said he has no emotion when it comes to discussing the nitty gritty, that's pure truth right there, swallow your pride and focus on what is true. I say this because it seems like you cant have a discussion these days without people taking it personally. It's irrational, stop being so proud and just entertain my opinion, you don't have to agree, but don't take it as an attack. El-P is a special guy. I feel like I relate to him and the way he reasons. Except I can't sing for shit.
Couldn't agree more, I appreciate when anyone gives feedback on something, being able to objectively assess anything is a hugely important skill. Sometimes I'll explain why I did something, and it sounds argumentative. IT's not intended that way, but if your view is based on a wrong interpretation then it might change with clarity. If I can't understand something I disagree with to see why someone might think that, then I don't understand it enough to have a firm opinion myself. (-Ade)
LouieV6 I love that album, too! I was in London in 96 and they had an article in Time Out with him on the cover and of course I bought it. That was my introduction to his genius. People will put down the art of mixing, but it takes a certain ear to be able to combine similar sounds into something cohesive. It's not easy to do. I remember long ago watching him mix something from the Muppets and it was pure gold. Over 20 years goes by fast: (
It's a banger... First listen... I was stoned, driving at night. It scared me to death... I loved how strange and creepy some of the beats were. Still jam it today.
Saw them at last year's Coachella. Never heard of them until then. GODDAMN was that an amazing show. If you get the opportunity to see them live, I can't recommend them enough.
It would've been awesome to get hit with that when you're not expecting it, closest thing I've seen to that was Moby of all people playing absolutely filthy dnb in Adelaide about 10 years ago
This is an amazing video, I love run the jewels and didn't know about this colab, after watching their performance it's interesting to see how it was brought to life and I look forward to listening to the album!
Imagine being back In 2002.. and EL P from company flow.. and the guy from SNL Would in 2017 .. be world famous celebrities household names .. and guest starring on one of THEIR late night talk shows.
Tom Daily II It's okay man I'm off the Bandwagon as well. I fuck with Run The Jewels more then Killer Mike, so I've been listening to him more and more.
Would appreciate anybody who would stop to take a look a my music...Killer Mike has always been one of favorite rappers when it comes to delivery...I recently started rapping and needed feedback from people who really understand hip-hop...thought who better than RTJ fans
Why is this *beeped*? This is not something for little children. Why would you censor profanity for something like this? It just takes stuff away for no reason.
Honestly I wish I'd never seen this. They seem like rookies who discovered a gem by accident. Also, it's not just the song but the video--juxtaposition of hood rap battle by white old World leaders--that makes it. In my head the whole song had to have come together by an equally remarkable backstory.. not something so banal as "So I started with the first line as 'picture this'" as if it was gonna be just another lame track in their forgettable little career.
Killer Mike's smile makes me happy.
michael priddy he's a big happy cuddly teddy bear
Holy shit is it you Gilfoyle?
He was smiling proud at El from that last line
Dude! That is it. That's what I love so much about the guy. His smile is amazing.
Like legitimately living his best life, enjoying what he does. Which is refreshing to see because a lot of celebrities seem to complain.
this is actually the least jimmy fallon thing of all time. good shit.
chilidili right?
i know rite?
the amount of talent in that room
Sudev Sen imagine being there with them? Damn that would be sick man
yeah i mean that beat is still the soundtrack of my dreams and i start from time to time when running :"I am guilty motherfuckers/ I am death"

El-P is a special guy. I feel like I relate to him and the way he reasons. Except I can't sing for shit.
Opinions have gone from being cherished stories and educational opportunities to being full blown ego attacks.
You're on point.
I totally get what El's saying about the horns, but I can't imagine that song without them now

Man those horns are everything on that track
What is the horns?
@@kko9329 the trumpets
It's so reassuring to see how awkward and nervous they are behind the scenes.
No fronting or bullshitting, just three nerds nerding out over music.
My 3 hip hop idols in one room. DJ Shadow is the reason I started DJ’ing (on vinyl). RTJ are simply the best rap group period.
I like how El-p has all those nervous ticks... it's endearing.
It's awesome n kind of mind boggling to see all three of these guys getting their shine on jimmy Fallon ....great collab btw
yeah lmao it's so odd
+Mikhail Pugliano exactly what I was thinking haha, happy for them though. Two of the dopest MCs and two of the dopest producers for sure
“I will punch a baby bear in his shit” is one of the funniest lines ever.
Still playing DJ Shadow's Endtroducing in 2016!

2020.
Utter classic
It's a banger... First listen... I was stoned, driving at night. It scared me to death... I loved how strange and creepy some of the beats were.
Still jam it today.
Hell fucking yeah! Classic shit right there
Saw them at last year's Coachella. Never heard of them until then. GODDAMN was that an amazing show. If you get the opportunity to see them live, I can't recommend them enough.

Love all three of them. Separately, but much much more, when they’re together. Nobody Speak is a masterpiece.
RTJ = the BEST. This track is an amazing hook up wit DJ Shadow and a nice tune to hold us over till RTJ3!
I was waiting for Jimmy to annoyingly interrupt them but this was a great conversation.
"you've known shadow since you were 11?" lmao
El P responded to that in like .004 of a second too
That was some fast maths lol
+ToroidalVortexLove Are you serious? 31-20 isn't fucking calculus.

I think they have so much imagery in their style, true poets can do it and make it look effortless
This is an amazing video, I love run the jewels and didn't know about this colab, after watching their performance it's interesting to see how it was brought to life and I look forward to listening to the album!

But that bari horn gave the horn section such nice grit. This tune is straight fire all around.
Loved Mike since his lines on Rehabs : aim to please. Great hooks. More power to the people. Can't wait to get RTJ4
Nobody really has a voice like Killer Mike. Really unique
Please make a full album together!
Watched 8:46 by Dave chapelle. At the end, this song played. Loved it, it’s on repeat now.

the beats that play behind rap song do not get enough attention imo. DJ Shadow is a legend
Dem boys are get’n that Cadillac money 💰 well deserved
This is so cool, really enjoyed it. Love this tune, love DJ Shadow, love Run The Jewels. A DMC style YO from Macclesfield, UK

Killer Mike's fuckin laugh is hearty as fuck I felt my spine vibrate
Say what you want about Fallon but he has all types of dope artists on here
Dude, the horns and guitar was amazing.
how am I just learning killer Mike is in run the jewels....I'm slow.
thats ok..they have medication for that
Tom Daily II It's okay man I'm off the Bandwagon as well. I fuck with Run The Jewels more then Killer Mike, so I've been listening to him more and more.
awesomeness pure awesomeness
EL-P did Looking over a city with Latyrx in the early 2000’s which is an amazing fucking song.
Probably my favorite Fallon interview
Would appreciate anybody who would stop to take a look a my music...Killer Mike has always been one of favorite rappers when it comes to delivery...I recently started rapping and needed feedback from people who really understand hip-hop...thought who better than RTJ fans
“NAW IM NOT FUCKIN WIT IT B!!”😂😂😂😂
Just love this!!! My favourite at the moment... keep pumping out funny awesome shit like this guys!! Xxxx
This is the first Jimmy Fallon clip that I didn't wish Jimmy wasn't in
Possibly the best thing to happen on the tonight show
everything they said was a lie they just got high and freestyled
I love the fact that "picture this, I'm a bag of dicks" is the only part of that interview that wasn't censored
Love these guys so much
dj shadow looks like despot
Was looking up Prison Videos and the Jam showed up. Love the Old White Dudes mouthing the Lyrics.
I love this show!!!
"I will punch a baby bear in his shit", lmao.

Entroducing is, to me, the Bible.

Is that fifth harmony's body guard "big rob" in the thumbnail? XD
Linda Yasser don't you ever mention that stupid name in a video with shadow and RTJ
Cool cats ,KEEp puuurn
Nice :D
Guys, don't tuck your ears into your cap
but the Shadow does
dude on the right sounds exactly like fat joe
cb7pwn the fact you dont know who EL-P is saddens me, that's all
i dig these dudes but how are there over 65 thousand likes and only 19 hundred views?
Don't bleep out words
Solesides!
Why is this *beeped*? This is not something for little children. Why would you censor profanity for something like this? It just takes stuff away for no reason.
Notice this video is on an NBC talk show's channel?

Honestly I wish I'd never seen this. They seem like rookies who discovered a gem by accident. Just hate the lyrics but the instruments Guitar and Horns are just Fantastic . But terrible lyrics degrading
