  • I've wanted to travel to Ireland my entire life. The land of my ancestors, the Cliffs of Moher, Dublin, the pubs and so much more. When the opportunity finally came, I went without hesitation. Unfortunately, I only had four days. So I set out to see and do as much as possible. Welcome to Ireland in four days.
Dublin. We landed at the Dublin airport and navigated the airport with ease. The nice thing about small cities is small airports. We rented a car from the airport and drove into Dublin. Like the UK you drive on the left side of the road and yes, it is beyond annoying. There were a few close calls and overall, very stressful driving.
In Dublin, we checked into our hotel and basically went to the first pub we could find. Irish bars just hit different. We trekked the city which is extremely walkable and enjoyed the architecture. We had a bike tour of the city in midafternoon. It wasn’t my favorite bike tour, but it did give a unique perspective of the city. The night was spent in pubs listening to Irish bands and living in the moment as the pub sang the songs.
If you’re planning on going to Ireland, the pubs are worth the trip in itself. The people are incredibly kind, love to talk, the music is awesome, and it's some of the best beer in the world.
The next day we took the rent a car and drove the distance of the country to the Cliffs of Moher. Along the drive, we made a few stops. It was one of those classics, see something cool, stop for something cool. We checked out the town of Athlone and the cemetery of Kilmacduagh Abbey. In a way, finding things you were never looking for is the best part of the trip.
After almost four hours including stops, we made it to the Cliffs of Moher. Unfortunately, the fog was intense, and I couldn’t see more than three feet in front of me. We left the cliffs and drove the ten minutes to Doolin for lunch hoping the clouds would clear. After two hours they did, and we were about to experience the cliffs. It was 100% worth the wait and the hassle to get there. They’re incredible, beautiful, and it just feels like Ireland.
After spending a solid two hours we drove to Galway found a local bar and befriend two old Irish men who have been friends for over 50 years. Hearing their stories and learning about Ireland from them was something I couldn’t have paid for. It was simply, great.
The next day we explored Galway, walked every street, GoPro as much as I could then drove northwest to the Kylemore Abbey. Two things. The drive there is one of the most amazing drives I have ever done. Just the sheep being sheep and wobbling around the rounds and stopping traffic was really cool. Second, the castle/building/property was unreal. I was so happy I got the drone out and captured those shots. If you are in the Galway area you must go to the Abbey.
Later in the evening we drove back to Dublin, enjoyed a night of pubs, and left the next day.
Ireland is absolutely amazing, and I couldn’t recommend it anymore. I only had four days to experience the country and I was I had forty more.
If Ireland is on your list of countries to travel to, then bump it to number one and live your best life.

Beautiful video. I'll be taking the family exactly where you were for a week in mid March. What time of year did you go? Also thinking of bringing my mavic pro drone as well. Is Ireland drone friendly or were there many no drone area's which were off limits. Cheers!

I went in October, but March is a great time to visit. I didn't have any issues with my drone. I didn't use it in cities like Dublin and Galway, but out in the countryside or not over buildings I had no issues.

There are restrictions obviously, if you’re not license…just use your common sense. Don’t try it in the cities !

We went at the end of October. Late November is a great time to go. It will be cold, but the country is still absolutely beautiful and the bars are warm!
