Only after reading your comment did I know that she passed away. She was my favorite crime writer. I was just talking with my sister yesterday about her last book how gut wrenching its ending was! I was telling her about I hope she releases one more book so I could know what happens between Jack and Flea , also The Walking Man or how does Jack's life might change as he finally knew what happened to his brother but the fans are thinking that Wolf might be the last book in the Jack Caffery Series. I guess, I have to give myself a closure of how his life turns out. May the legend Rest In Peace. You are one good writer and no one can replace you. I am grateful that I could read your works.

Beautiful Candy Davis who I was only researching earlier this summer. Then the news broke she died in July and had started a new career as an author aka Mo Hayder. RIP. Such a charming intelligent fascinating woman.

I cant believe this was the same woman she doesn't look anything like her sure she is still good looking but everything has changed. At least with Miss Brahms or Slocombe you could tell it was the same person when they were older. I know she changed her name but now i'm wondering did she also have plastic surgery to remove any hint of being a ditsy blond that would impede her new image of an intelligent writer. Same as Vanity 6 she dies the same age as Candy and completely changed her look later in life.

I just discovered her. Read Birdman in 5 days, which is really quick for me, given that I can't read very fast in English, since it's not my first language. Disturbing as Birdman was (and it sure was!), I couldn't put the damn book down. Now I'm hooked on Hayder. Picked up 3 more of her books from the library today. Sweet dreams to me! Not!

She’s a very feminist writer, that was the reason I disliked Pig Island

Thought I was the only one who hate it. Just finished reading it a few days ago. It's just about a guy who's other head got the better of his head.
