I typically don’t give energy to things I hate anymore because I want that energy to create and think positively, but my stance on this art theft, even though I don’t like touching on current issues, has made it into my work
So true! I've been so tempted to use AI to get art for some of my characters but would much rather spend 20 bucks for my cover artist to do a commission for me.
I was promised AI Robots that would clean my house and do my lawn work so I can spend more time doing writing and illustrating, but instead they are doing the “writing and illustrating” and I’m stuck with the house work and lawn care!
Ha ha! Sad but true. But we can turn it around if we all get on board otherwise too bad. Timestamp missed. Hope it doesn't come to it but I'm not naive either. Greed is a powerful thing, sadly, and brings out the worst in people. It really shouldn't be part of the arts but it is, like in any business. I just wish people would get out of denial that they're stealing. Theft is not something to take lightly.

Real artists deserve the money, not a computer program. Don't pay the Matrix.

If you use AI as an assistant and improv off of it for writing, I look at that as advancement and help. Not stealing.
The context is using it to create writing and art for you. Using an AI like grammarly is different.
"One sentence prompt" = "ROBBING A BANK"
