Beautiful. A very subdued version of a classic Allee Willis/David Lasley composition. Both the Lani Hall and Patti LaBelle interpretations work for any mood one is predisposed to. I am partial and grateful to both.
Herb Alpert sang on 2 songs I'm aware of that were released to radio. This was a B side, I think,, of an early 80's AC hit, "Garden Party" (or maybe it was Route 66). The other song I recall (from days of my parents being a fan) with his voice and trumpet was in the 60's, Burt Bacharach's "This Guy's In Love With You". I could be wrong, but come what may, haha. Anyway, I believe he is still married to Ms Hall in his latter days (2017)
