    An absolutely wonderful tutorial. Really simply the best. Great close ups. Slow modulated speech. So very easy to follow. I hope I get years of use from it. I happen to have a collapsible bag in the garage! Thank you for taking the time to do this.

      You're very welcome! And thank you for the glowing review. My wife (and muse) always urges me to act like my audience knows nothing about the product I'm reviewing and to show all of it's shortcomings as well. Enjoy your shredder!!

    Great review. I was looking to judge the volume / minute for my application and your video let me do that. We have two trees in our front yard that drop a ridiculous amount of leaves. I usually have someone hold a grocery store leaf bag open and I use a rake in each hand like large claws after blowing them into a pile. Usually end up with around 20 bags of uncompressed (just hand - tamped down) leaves.
    My dad bought a mulching leaf vac but it has problems with large volumes and power is lacking because it's just a 40v battery unit. I think because of this review I'll end up grabbing this unit.
    If you feel there's any issues I might have with my application, I'd love to hear about it.
    Thanks!

    • @heliflyer7
      @heliflyer7  11 місяців тому

      We've been very pleased with this unit. The scooper we use is a nicety, the two rake method would work fine too. Just let the leaves drop in the top and the shredder does all the work. The only real complaints I have are: 1) The cutting line is somewhat difficult to change and they specify using their specific brand of line as it's not a standard size.

    • @Immashift
      @Immashift 11 місяців тому +1

      @@heliflyer7 Ahh good catch with the unusual cutter cord. Might be able to find a generic replacement. Might have to measure the thickness and see what's out there.
      Thanks for the reply! I imagine this unit cuts down the amount of bags you need quite a bit.

    I am thinking the string wear contributed towards the 2nd and 3rd batch being similar. I assume fine is going to chew through it faster which is exactly what I would be using. Great video, I'm interested in something to grind leaves for composting and I think this might do the trick. Have a great holiday season. Thanks!

    Why trimmer strings and not a big blade? Wouldn’t a blade be more effective?

    • @heliflyer7
      @heliflyer7  Рік тому

      That really is a great question! I hope another commenter responds. Only thing I can think of would be the holes in the blade guard, in able to function, would have to be more than large enough to allow a finger to slip through. Higher danger factor than with line. That being said, I wouldn't want to come in contact with that either.

    • @heliflyer7

      Do you have the wheel on backwards?

    • @lesliemowers4443
      @lesliemowers4443 3 роки тому

      @@heliflyer7 No, I have the notches to the outside where the hubcap attaches. But I did try it both ways. The axle threads will only go into the wheel; snd the nut is too big to fit into the wheel on either side.
