If it's a real gang you don't get a choice, you're told what to do and you have to do it. It would be nice if you could just sell it like a business and only worry about money, but that's not how it works out. Things are cut, things aren't cut enough, bad batches, people get fronted and then get robbed putting them in a bad spot, there is a lot that can go wrong.
Selling bud is one thing, you don't need a gang for that. The other stuff is 99% of the time cartel related, it can get messy. It doesn't mean he had to die, but that doesn't mean people are gonna see them as a good person. Think about it like this, not all the nazis were evil, they were just doing their job, just trying to make money or get good benefits, would you feel bad for a nazi? You don't see it because you're too close to it.
