Looks like an "easier" version of Grid's damage. Its like selective Xray since the wing and other parts floats without visibly being attached to the car.
Love how you can keep driving even with huge damage. Used to be a thing in older games, in some F1 games on PS2 you could drive without a wheel, but now it's just "you're done, we'll park the car here" without even showing the damage visually. Damage model looks pretty insane for the standards we're used to!
@@nyrak5570 Funny thing is some of those F1 games on PS2 he mentions, were from EA... F1 Career Challenge, F1 2002, F1 Championship Season 2000 on PS1...
@@pedrocaseiro95 yep, I still play F1 2002 sometimes on my emulator and you can drive with all the damage in the world, as long as the car can move. And, as you said, it's from EA. Not sure why they decided to change direction tho, after all even if they didn't modify the damage model they could let us control it so we can get to the box or in a safe place.
Ending the video by literally jumping off from the map was fun, not even the dev's tested this feature lol Liked the damage model and the graphics looks very good. I prefer when the game has not only race cars but street cars as well, but if it is not so expensive I will buy it 🙂
Yeah, this is where GT7 shines. I want more street cars in GT7; any extra cars are a bonus. Hopefully, Assetto Corsa EVO will give us a lot of street cars too.

Yeah, when you hit the wall and loads of bolts and crap fly out, it's hilarious. The damage model is one of the best we've got. I would rather have BeamNG.drive's damage in a sim like GT7.
@@AutomotiveVP well having beamngs damage system would not work in gt7. The reason why Beamng has "realistic" crash physics is due to their node system. Which in short not only simulates deformation, but also everything else including suspension, the engine tires etc.
Remember me, that boy with GT6 in the PS3? I got a good news. Now I'm currently in my school vacation to visit my father working. Apparently, some of my father's workmates resigned alot and my father's boss decided to bought a PS5 in the office with GT7 disc on it! Yesterday i tried it. It was really good! Maybe comparison of RX-7 between GT7 and FM23 Also a detail of RX-7 in Gran Turismo 7: probably you know it already. But...if you rev it until redline, there's a alarm beep indicating that we're on the redline or close with it. Anyway, the damage of Rennsport remind me of old GRID but more funky and hilarious 😂
One of the few modern racing games that have the balls to actually let you destroy their cars, and not just scratch the paint. Even if it's not entirely accurate, it's a joy to see. Better hope they don't do any licensing with ferrari, god knows they won't be happy about it.
You're welcome, I don't see why not. But I bet for a long time it will be PC only. Maybe, just maybe, it will come to console. It's not very graphical, so there's no reason it shouldn't be on console.
I agree with the points you're making but you have to take into consideration that the game is still in Beta and not out yet, and in my opinion so far the game is pretty good. Also you said it seems like the car is "floating" when the wheels are off, but if you look at the front, it cant go any lower cause the floor is touching the ground 😊 but i expect that this will probably still get fixed and also, the game is not meant to be crashing but to be racing, and to be fair the crash physics are pretty good for a racing sim😊
I mean the damage is sick, but its def not a sim, nothing about how that car handles is realistic. Just another arcade racing game with crazy good models and good damage models.
Since this is another follower of the "online only" crap trend, I'm pretty sure they'll downgrade the damage model in the future with some bs excuse. Also why does it look so bland and basic? I swear these racing sims look exactly the same with ps3 graphics every time.
@@GavinGalix yh... no lmao I can guarantee EA and Ubisoft is worse if ur talking about the launcher then yh all of them are equally as shit company wise nah
RENNSPORTS Twitter just tweeted this: RENNSPORT Open Beta has arrived! 10th July 2024. 👊 Mark your calendars! 🗓
😅I've had their key code for almost a month but I went down the path of GT7.
This weekend I'll give it a shot =)

I can‘t wait for it to be done and fully released

The debris is slightly arcade looking but a great looking damage model so far

it's nice .. but is quite off at the same time since damaged parts looked more like detaching legos lol, or car was made with defective nano-tech lol
Lol

absolute W for rennsport. I really like how they have the balls to make a racing sim in Unreal Engine 5

I wonder if they will put this masterpiece on the next gen consols, thank u for this video.

that looks quite nice.
better than any simukation i have ever played
remember me rfactor1 megane trophy damage model! looks good for a beta, i like the idea
where can i et the rennsport open beta from?
the closed beta keys were for epic games, so probably there
www.rennsport.gg/beta/
Rennsport open beta July 10 from Epic game store
Reminds me of the project cars 2 damage model
Astonished, really good
Finally, actual damage in a racing game.
interestingly it's made by TEYON the developer of the recent RoboCop FPS game
that's a floating spoiler bits?
What’s the point of this type of damage, once you can see the good damage model your race is over anyway and you’re gonna quit out
seems like either the tracks or the tyres are not fully physically modelled.
How's the driving physics ? for example RF2 and ACC
this game's physics needs alot of tweaking
Pretty mid in comparison
Has a lot of potential. But I feel it will be toned down a lot come final release. Really impressive so far though.
We need this damage model in NFS
How do I turn on the damage model. I can’t find it at all
Found it in time trials
Do the engines seize in a hard crash? Thx.
for some reason the csl dd feels like the g29 with rennsport, no idea whats that about but for me not playable
Now make the barriers move too because this looks like nothing
@@global6000 I have always thought why racing games don’t add the barrier getting messed up!
Is there rear view camera in this game?
how u can play with controller bro? need some tutorial pls asap
Turn without wheel ?
Looking cool!

Left the matrix..

funfact in reallife you can drive gt3 cars with just 3 wheels without any problems i mean driveable till the pit not raceable
Fully artefacted game but thanks god a damage model.
Do we need another acc, lmu???
Waaaaaawwwww it remind me burnout paradise damage the game is on the good way .
I'm just uninterested in an unreal engine racing game
So you are also uninterested in ACC?
@@sebastianb.1406new acc evo isn’t on unreal

This is what gta 6 needs
GTA V kinda already has the same thing going on as Rennsport
This game has me crashing on purpose to see the damage 😂
This game will have a small player base. This is a rammer's nightmare 😂
will this come to console?
I've never seen someone so bad at crashing cars in a game 😄
rennsport is like the star citizen of racing games to me. very flashy with no substance
eh...
so no wall riding grom gt7 brainlets
i cant take this game the ffb on the csl dd 8nm is absolutly terrible
