Oh but it’s fine dear, well my daughter, before you born, the land was dark and treturose(?) the people stood divided, brother fighting brother. The only hope for peace was in the legend of sword Excalibur. For it was said that only the true king could pull this magical sword from its stone and unite the people. Many tried, all failed. The on the very day that you were born. And unexpected hero stepped forth. His name was arther, And he was that true king. With Excalibur at his side, he lead us out of the darkness. And together we built the greatest kingdom on earth. Everyone rejoiced. (Dancing) And so these three rings, represent the unity of our kingdom. As a knight I took an oath to protect Camelot, King Arthur and Excalibur….
1:05-1:33 I love the music that plays in this scene. It’s like Kingdom Dance from Disneys Tangled, in that it makes me want to jump up and dance along with all the little animated people till I can hardly stand. :)
Kinda skipped over a lot of stuff like How Arthur's dad Uther Pendragon disguised himself as the queen's husband which lead to them having Arthur as an illegitimate child and how Uther placed Excalibur in the stone before he died but hey that's just a nitpick.
Excalibur actually wasn’t the sword in the stone. Excalibur was protected and hidden by the Lady of the Lake in the Forest of Adventure. The sword in the stone was Uther’s sword I can’t remember the name of.
@@rileynelson6624 The Sword in the Stone was actually called Caliburn, and as far as magical swords in Britain are concerned, its power was second only to Excalibur.
Bothered me as an adult but I can understand why a movie for kids would only have one magic sword instead of two with nearly identical names Caliburn- Sword In The Stone Excalibur-Sword of the Lady of the Lake
The reason I still love this movie is the sword. It's got a wicked cool design.
I agree this and the design from the thundercats episode "Excalibur". My 2 favorite designs.

I know it’s only a legend and people add their own parts. But, in all the versions I’ve read, Excalibur comes from the Lady of the Lake.

I think he had a couple magic swords

Arthur pulled the Excalibur from the stone
(0:35)-(0:41)
The Excalibur
Along with the subsequent failure of 1999's The King & I, the flopping of Quest for Camelot convinced Warner Brothers to give up on The Iron Giant.
Austin M. Small flopping? This movie is a master peace. Iron giant is a master peace
What about cats don’t dance?
@@themasterofcommentsandrese4351 Cat's don't Dance dosen't count because that film is an acclaimed flop.
why? QFC was a brilliant movie
@@jerichamesclammay3107 Quest for Camelot suffered heavly from Warner Brothers meddling.
ZACH DAWN
wow
1:33 he kinda sounds like trump for a brief second
And sister's fighting sister's 0:11
One thing I forgot about this movie……the character designs are fucking lazy.
And how?
Not at all imo
I think it gives each character a realistic but lively feeling
