I have been waiting for this update!! I did as much dot-watching as I could during the race (from the central US) and I could see that you had finished and that your pacing seemed OK, but without knowing the conditions on the day and how you were actually doing, it was impossible to get a read on how the race was really shaking-out. First congratulations. In some ways, while the conditions dictated that you did not have the super-fast time I am sure you were hoping for, the ultimate result was probably better. You took challenging conditions and were able to turn them into a strong day! Having watched you from the start, I am in some ways as impressed or even more impressed with you at this point than when you completed your full IM. Completing the full IM given your starting point and your journey was amazing, however, seeing how you have kept on with your training and progress and have continued to make consistent strides forward is a testament to your true character. After such as huge accomplishment as the full IM, I am sure it would have been far too easy to just begin to coast and stagnate. You haven not done that, you have continued to double-down and chase gains aggressively. That is significantly impressive! Finally, your video production and editing are continuing to improve. You are getting much better at creating and building suspense in your teasers about upcoming announcements....you always leave me anticipating the next video!
Thanks so much for the support, it means a lot to hear you were watching! You will appreciate it the announcement next week for sure, not slacking off for me 🤣 thanks for sticking with me so far through the whole thing.
Excellent work, watched you on the tracker for the whole event. You inspire me so much that i signed up for the Cairns full ironman again in 2025. That will be my third Cairns ironman in a row, keep up the good work and keep inspiring others.
Great work mate. I did my 14th IM in Busso and that swim was horrendous. Also, agree that anything but the full feels anti-climatic, which keeps drawing me back to do the full!
I did my second full at Busso last Sunday, I just assumed the weather would be good, but man was I wrong. I reckon I hit my head on virtually every buoy out there trying to maintain my line of sight. The bike was an hour longer thanks to the wind and rain, plus my husband thought I had a pretty good shot at actually dying out there and looked genuinely worried when he finally saw me with 3kms left to run 😂 These things are hard enough to do with good weather, but adverse weather makes it next level hard. Glad you had a good race, your time is really good considering the conditions. Now you know you can race in anything if you can survive that! Good work👏🏻👏🏻
Well done mate, great to meet you there the day before the race too and have a chat outside transition. Been going to Busso for 10 plus years and that was near on the worst swim we have ever had. First full IM for me this year, you are right that second bike lap was horrendous with rain storm and wind but we got through it and made it to the end 😊. Congratulations on a great race mate.
Well done on the middle (half) distance IM. I have done a couple and honestly they are really fun, compared to the full. But yeah, not a big enough challenge to seriously motivate a lot of training.

That is amazing, Cairns is a tough one! Thanks for the support. We will have to catch up there next year

Totally agree, 14 seems like a big number well done. Thanks for the support

Great job you earned that medal for sure, thanks for the support
Awesome job! This reminds me of the Jones Beach 70.3 we did back in 2023. It had a similar course, choppy water, and a flat but windy bike.
It's funny how similar some of these courses can be! Glad I did it though
Well played Shayne … another milestone on your journey
Thanks for the support

Thanks, yeah that swim was rough! Great to meet you too, good to hear you survived the full IM!
Fantastic ! Congratulations.
Many thanks!
Amazing well done 🎉
Thank you! 😊
6.20 is a great result, regardless of conditions. Well done.
Yeah, pretty happy with that.
Well Done , another great achievement . 6 plus hours of running cycling swimming is pretty awesome 💪👍
Thanks 👍
Well done getting it done in tough conditions
Thanks always rewarding to get things done when they don't go to plan.

Yeah definitely fun, but I am already looking at the next thing.
@TakeTheNextRight doing a half in Asia is a real challenge with that heat. I did Cebu before Cairns and lost all confidence 😆
Thanks 🙏 for uploading, that Swim & Ride was full on 🤢
Yeah it was a bit gnarly out there!
Well done
Thank you
