I’ve always shaken this drink, blending the cream into the spirits. But I like the elegance of this presentation. Going to make one tonight. Thanks, Leandro. Another good video.
My absolute favorite cocktail. A true classic that although simplistic in its making, imparts a delicious, decadent flavor to your tastebuds. Thank you my friend for making this. We are having a small get together tonight and our first toast will be to you.
You can tell you are a pro when you tip out some spirits instead of sipping some out and when you wipe some cream on the board instead of licking it off.
This looks soooo delicious!!! Just one question, do you usually sweeten a little bit your whipped cream, or so you use it without any sugar? For my white russians (and I know somebody will kill me) i usually sweeten up the whipped cream, but only because I usually make my white russians with Spanish coffee orujo, if I prepare them with kalhua I won't add any sugar to the cream.
Well, I put around 5% by weight of sugar in my whipped cream for my white Russians because I like them this way!!! I hope you won't kill me for that! Hahahahaha! As I said, Spanish orujo coffee liquor is not as sweet as Kalhua, actually it is very dry (I use a brand called Martin Codax, absolutelly delicious, but very dry). There is a bar in my hometown that makes the white russian served in a martini glass, made with kalhua, and they don't add any sugar to the cream, and I like it this way! But I don't have kalhua at home, just this Orujo!!!
Thanks but when I say coco I am referencing the word cocoa (pronounced Koh-Koh) which is a derivative of the Spanish word cacao. Cocoa is processed chocolate while the other (Cacao) refers to unprocessed chocolate. Still wrong but it wasn’t my pronunciation
@@TheEducatedBarfly Oh. Thanks for the replay! I wasn't trying to bash or anything. I'm really enyoing all the content! Probably the problem, (for me, as a native spanish speaker) is that coco as diminutive of cocoA is never used, because it means something else. And yes, Cocoa is the widespread "synonymus" for Chocolate, as in the instant mix to make Hot chocolate, literaly hot Cocoa. That's why everytime I hear you say Koh-Koh liquer I start to wonder, "why the hell would you put coconut flavor in this cocktail???" LoL
Awesome.... I can't wait to try it at home and then make it on New Years Eve! I'm concerned about the squeeze bottle and coil... I'm I gonna have to go to the Home Depot?!?!
You could carefully sip it in such a way, or you could mix it all together like literally every other bartender! 😂 Come on, Monriva! Nobody makes a brandy Alexander like that. I mean, I'd drink it if you made it for me, but that's 'cause you're cute.
What is it with and your objection to towels? So many times you wipe your hand on your apron. This time, you wipe your finger on the cutting board. Seriously?Use a towel!!
A Brandy Alexander was the first legal drink I ordered in a restaurant when I turned 21 in 1985. :-)

Ok, I’m a convert. This is a definite improvement.
@@jimfererro1493 Good to know, I've always had it with the cream as well but this is intriguing. I'll have to give it a shot.

I will need to try this method - chilled spirits with heavy cream top. But I will also add some fresh nutmeg.
a true classic.. one of the first i learned to make..
I would drink the excess brandy, not toss it down the drain.
rezin russell oh get over yourself
I would sip the excess off the jigger instead of dumping it
Or just put it in the drink. How particular are we about drinkin'?
Holy rule of Bartenders, never let the alcohol go to waste
Or back in the bottle! SMH. Throwing alcohol down the sink was a sackable offence when I was working.
One off my favorite cocktails.
Merry Christmas. I'm going to have a "fair and warmer"
Thanks for the vid sir.🥃
Not calling you out for using your hands, we're calling you out for pouring brandy down the fucking sink...da fuck?
Leandro Demon Reba! Love it
Mouth watering!
I really appreciate the history portion of each Cocktail and I’m diggin the Bar Fly Cocktail spoon!
Where can I get one of those?
Endless Waltz look in the show notes I provide a link to the Barfly spoon!
The Educated Barfly , yep I see it, good deal, thank you!
Merry Christmas!

Bushwood How is the guy a pro when he dumped alcohol and he is stirring the way you stir coffee and not the way you stir alcohol
Thank you for sharing great work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brandy Alexander + Fanny and Alexander by Ingmar Bergman = a God-tier Christmas
Brock Ferlaak 😂
Never seen the layered cream effect before on this cocktail. Usually it’s blended into the other spirits. I’ll give it a try.
It makes for a nicer presentation, but when you drink it you can mix it in.
I swapped the brandy with Meukow Xpresso and it’s amazing

usually don't sweeten it, unless it calls for a flavored whipped cream, like with creme de cacao.

I like Brandy Alexanders but I never thought to make it that way....hmmmm.
Merry Christmas!
Jeff Piper Merry Christmas!
Looks like a mini beer
If I don’t have the squeeze bottle and coil, can I get the same effect with the cream by shaking longer in a small container?
the coil is from a Hawthorne strainer. Yes, you can just shake it loner, the coil is there to expedite it.
A former coworker of mine made his Brandy Alexander’s into shakes with Kahlua, heavy whipping cream and vanilla ice cream.
I like the cream all up in there.
does it need to be heavy cream? will 10% work?
10% won’t layer on the drink
Add nutmeg or chocolate sprinkle on the end.
Sorry. But as a spanish speaker
Coco = coconut
cacao = chocolate
Quite the diference!
Excelent Channel, and that drink looks super nice

I know you weren’t trying to bash 😂 I was just clarifying. Problem with these messages is they lack context :)
Have you prepared a warn brandy alexander?
Awesome.... I can't wait to try it at home and then make it on New Years Eve! I'm concerned about the squeeze bottle and coil... I'm I gonna have to go to the Home Depot?!?!
burnsit247 smart and final or Costco
You said cremé de cocoa at the end XD
Yes. I did. LOL
Both are fun to say. We know what he’s talking about haha.
No nutmeg?
No nutmeg on top?
The SINK!!!! Are you insane!
LEANDRO AND THE EGG YOlk??!!!!

Ooh no nutmeg?
I feel personally assaulted by how long you stirred that damn drink
You poured perfect brandy down the drain? What kind of a bartender are you anyway?
That plastic bottle is really nice.and the way you get rid of that cream
on
your Finger,mmmh!
I doubt many nice cocktails were being made up in America in 1920s…;)
Too much cream

The sloppy, uncharismatic barfly.
This is NOT how John Lennon made a Brandy Alexander.
He did NOT made a Brandy Alexander, he only said this cocktail was his favorite, do your research kid
Why this Apron 🤣 people do cooking programs without aprons. And you use for puting ice to the glass 🤣
The way you shake irritates me
👎👎👎👎👎
No nutmeg?
