definitely worth the trip up, even if you just do the one. I think we all pass them a lot heading back to Kerry, so nice to be able to tick it off the list,, thanks again Darren
You hike a lot at elevation and along with your excellent drone footage your distant scenery shots are truly amazing! Where I live and hike (Illinois) the glaciers flattened everything. We can see a long way but there is nothing to see! Thanks again for another great lesson in the beauty of our earth!
Ever since I started doing these videos and getting comments such as yours Gary, it’s really made me realise how lucky I am to be so close to all this. I like your line, “can see a long way but there is nothing to see” 😀
My Dad is originally from the foothills of the Paps(the Kerry side of course 😆). Fadó fadó, I oft heard stories as a child about the struggles before the treaty was signed, the Black and Tans, how the old IRA members went on the run from them up the Paps in the fog one day. The locals knew their way in the fog so evaded capture etc… between that history and the prehistoric pagan significance of the mountains and surrounds to the arrival of Christianity and its influence in the area… it retains a huge significance in irish cultural change over thousands of years! Ní fhaca a leithéid ann arís!
thanks for that Diarmuid. Between all of what you mentioned there the history of these mountains on their own is fascinating. I could well imagine them being a good hiding place as even looking at old maps there wasn't much cover up high at all, with the exception of the gully to the south possibly being wooded half way up. Other than that it's a barren spot. Take in the history of Shrone and its steeped in history.. And only back the road from me, so very lucky that way.
Eddie!hello~thanks. nice ! 😯
Thanks very much Eugene. 👍🏻
Love the music towards the end with the drone shots! 💚💚
Thanks HH. I put info in all the descriptions for the music. Started using Artlist for the last two just to see what they were like. Thanks again 👍🏻
I’ve passed those many times and wondered what the views would be like !! Now I know :-) great dronage Eddie 👏👏

"I've followed many a sheep path before...and they end up nowhere" That should be on the official EF Merch T's! Nice one Ed!
haha, I think you're making it out to be more profound that it actually was,,, but I like where you're going with it :D

I’ve a feeling the farmers might disagree 😬🤣
