- The Marching Maroon and White of Alabama A&M University taking on the North Carolina A&T Blue and Gold Marching Machine in the 2014 MEAC/SWAC Challenge. This is the Fifth Quarter.
It's funny how people from MEAC schools say, "SWAC bands have no musicianship and all they do is blow loud noise" SMH. This is clear evidence to prove otherwise. "NO BANDS WANT ANY PART OF THE SWAC." S/O to AAMU for representing the SWAC with a "W". See y'all at MCC.
The chords some times are non existent. The phrasing is terrible the running is terrible it's unbalanced and it's a lot more I could say
brandon b This may be true...... And if that's how you feel about A&M who clearly waxed all of A&T, don't dismiss the atrocity of the Blue and Gold Marching Machine's sound... so, go ahead "say a lot more of what you could say" without saying A&T got destroyed. LOL

I give props to both bands, I know they both worked hard, I give the W to aamu, better overall sound and song selection, mr wright and Mr warren are really doing a great job molding the program as they see fit, SWAC better watch out!

A&T got destroyed.... after the rain it was OVER for A&T.... the rain turned the MMW into a BEAST...
So aamu band has decided to put the tubas on the top.

Actually put them BACK on top. After we moved to the SWAC we put our sousaphones on the sides... so in the 70's 80's and early to mid 90's the section was at the top of the band
Wow. I'm shocked. NCAT sounded so good on the two half-time clips I've seen of them. I was expecting a much better sound in the 5Q. AAMU did a good job. One thing I will say is that all the SWAC schools I've seen to need make sure they're paying attention to not letting the trumpet sound get covered up at certain parts of songs. Though AAMU was good, I don't think it was the crushing blow out everyone is saying. NCAT had their moments

Dayvon Savage I agree Bro. The winds and Mellos should've lead the song, and used the trumpets on the chorus only. That would've given it a greater delivery.

This was a matchup between two of my favorite bands, AAMU and A &T State. A & T... a little disappointing. I'm used to better from them. Hopefully they'll hit their groove a little further into the season.
