Gene Kelly (Tommy) Van Johnson (Jeff) pair up again (originally in Pal Joey) play New Yorkers buddies escape hectic lifestyles on a hunting vacation in the Scottish highlands and find an enchanted town (Brigadoon) that appears for only one day every 100 years. Johnson is at his acerbic, arm folded, dancing best. Kelly and Cyd dance (Fiona) and sing up a Lerner and Lowe storm.

I heard this movie suffered from budget cuts, so instead of being filmed in scotland, the whole film was fully shot in hollywood studio's backlot. Ouch!

Robert Goulet had a wonderful voice. As does the leading Actress ( I can't remember her name. She played Truly Scrumptious, in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) That version is much better, musically

I love this movie, but I don't like that Brigadoon came about as a patriarchal, Presbyterian response to terrible "witches" and their radical ideas.Oh those uppity women!But that's on Alan Jay Lerner, not Kelly or Minnelli.Kelly and Charisse are enchanting together.Also love them in "It's Always Fair Weather, " another underrated movie.

Fab story with a shit production as false as a false thing . Should be done again properly without the music n dancing
