I really understand why Tim was not happy with the lyrics, if he was referring to the version in your leaked list (Ne-Yo). Sounds terrible in my opinion. However, I think the track itself could have been one of Tim's most popular songs. It is truly a masterpiece.

Neyo's vocals are loud because the export is a bit messed up. Kinda embarrassing that someone who produces music doesn't really understand this. To me the track feels empty without the vocal hums from neyo that simply sounds great

Some people in the Avicii Sample server says the bass is by Afrojack because it's similar to his tracks but I can't confirm anything.

The song is so much better without Neyo's loud vocals and terrible lyrics.
