Shame that you couldn't glue a new piece of wood over the pannel/panels front and back to keep it looking balanced then you got the box you originally chose, that's what happened with my lapsteel build when I cleaned the muddy cerment off I found that the wood was split almost throughout it's length. But I can see that sometimes it's best starting again rather than going through that process. Good luck with the build. 👍 😊 🎸 🎸 .
@johnwynne-qx6br Thanks b64. I know it can be a heart-wrenching moment when you discover splits and cracks in a new project build. 😐. I'm glad you salvaged the lap steel you built. I will repair the first box as it is a real beauty. It's a fairly old box. I will restore it, I'm up for staining it. I have decided we will use it for something nice 🙂. There's aleays setbacks when making things. It happens. I tried loose leaf tea and never went back. :) yeah! Sea stick Steve! 😂 Giddy madness sounds both dangerous and fun! 😂
