  • A great way to keep your phone, tablet or gps in a safe location. Not only does it free clutter from the windshield, but it also helps and promotes hands free operation for safe driving.
    The installation of this media mount is super easy. and can be done in about 15 minutes
    This product is a result of a collaboration between Bencc (IH8MUD) and YotaMD. Please note that this mount is only compatible with 1998 to 2002 100 Series Land Cruiser/ LX470.
    I purchased this media mount from YotaMD

    Yup I have had mine for a number of months now with the QuadLock phone mount and absolutely love it. Seriously rock solid and no worry about my phone wandering. Ben's got some amazing things, best is the upgraded cup holders.

      Thank you I’ll have to look up the cupholders. I also want to look at the overhead scan gauge mount and the 12v panel for the rear passengers.

      @@LXPlore Have the overhead in my '98 100 with the ScanGauge and radio mic mount and LOVE it. Seriously I just need a credit card specifically for his stuff!

      Dammit, I might need one too. Btw how did you get a long enough cable for the scan gauge?

      @@LXPlore Talk with Ben. I think in the link on IH8MUD he provides a 90* angle connector that adds more than enough length between it and the OBDII connector for the scanguage. Simple as that and was only like an extra $15.

    John, what size tires do you have on the LX? The build is looking tight.

    • @LXPlore
      @LXPlore  3 роки тому

      Thank you very much. My tires are 285 70 17…. It rubbed a little, so I had to make some modifications to the fender liner and pinch weld. I’m sure the 0 offset of the Method Wheels played a roll in that too.

    Love your videos! I have a 10" iPad Pro that I use for my trail maps. Do you think I'll have enough clearance and won't get in the way of anything?

    • @LXPlore
      @LXPlore  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you so much. You know, I think it would depend on the length of the Ram mount arm. I also have a 10 inch IPad. It’s quite a bit heavier than the smaller tablet. I’d have to mock it up and see.

      @@LXPlore Thanks! i was debating on getting a cheap android just for trails but if I could use my Ipad, I would rather do that.

    So on my 98 I've had to get the dremel out and cut a little piece of plastic that covered the inside mount point within the surround. It was pretty easy with the right small sized cutter but just wanted to share.
    Also are these metric Allen heads?

    • @LXPlore
      @LXPlore  3 роки тому

      Yes I believe so. My Allen wrenches are in a drawer… not very organized. Lol

      Thank you for watching the video. As for the floor mats I’m not sure of the brand name however I bought them on autoanything.com . I’m not entirely sure if I like them, they catch all the dirt and sand however they are hard to clean.

      @@LXPlore no worries! I was able to grab a multi tool from craftsmen with various sizes. One should work. I have Allen’s at my garage but like 10mm’s they tend to get lost
