Which is kind of ironic if you think about - he says he’s a history student, yet he’s impatient for development and won’t change his beliefs. One would think that a history student recognize and accept that empires aren’t built in a day and that history is all about the legacy you leave behind with the changes you make.

Karim character would be better, if they try to give him an argument against Janai instead of him being just oppose to her. One argument would be that he felt that it would be meaningless to wait centuries, to rebuild what was essentially destroyed by a human in a day. Make him feel threaten by human. Make him believe that lux aurea cannot exist while human are around. Make him believe that they don’t have centuries to rebuild, and that they only have days to react. With that you can see why he is impatient with Janai.

    • @jgamer2057
      @jgamer2057 2 роки тому

Probably not, I think most species have an arcanum that they are most often connected to and some develop connections to others as mutations(like in real world evolution), so most plants will have connections to the earth arcanum but rarer species connect to others. I think this means that tree only connects to the sun and not earth so only sun magic would help it grow. This is just speculation with no hard evidence though…

@@KevItUp It is not merely religion. The elves literally have magic. They could have beliefs that creatures born with certain arcanums go to different types of afterlives. So to them it was very real like condemning his mom soul to hell, or purgetory
A real life example would be, a person stomping on a recently passed love one grave right infront of his love ones.
I was confused why nobody put it in this phrase to Amaya.

They do kind of address it though, the ceremony that was disrupted was intended to guide his mother's soul to the afterlife, when the flame was put out the soul was believed lost (And given what we know about how souls and spirits seem to work on Xadia this might very well be true) essentially he answered a spiritual murder with a comparatively very minor attack while blinded by grief and rage. Not great and it could cause issues with the humans who don't understand, but not something the elves would punish him for.

In terms of the funeral ritual, it's easy to see both sides of the fence. Just because their situation changed doesn't mean that they should change all of their customs. On the other hand, even if humans weren't in the camp, just because Sun Fire Elves can take a little heat that doesn't mean their supplies can if the camp catches fire. As for Karim, his biggest issue seems to be wanting immediate solutions to the problems at hand. He can't accept that it will take time to rebuild what they lost. I actually wouldn't be surprised Aarovos tries to play Karim and perhaps even Sol Regam in some way.

Karim is interesting to me for sure. I think people seeing this as just a sibling spat is kinda simplifying this. I totally understand where this is coming from. They are more or less a people who were forced to be misplaced and lost centuries of tradition and history at the hands of another. And those same people are now dictating how they are developing from here on. Their leader is marrying someone who best chance killed a ton of them in the past. We have seen her do nothing so far to try and comfort her people just telling them to change and it is for the best. I am not saying she is wrong and he is right. Being stuck in the past isn't how you evolve but to neglect your people and their history and feelings is bad as well. I don't think he will go full bad guy. He doesn't hate his sister he just doesn't feel she is up for ruling. I see him as someone to help her not forget where she comes from for the sake of progression with her new wife

The sun elves probably gonna be goos allies with Katolis if everything works out well, they can possibly make a new sun forge in the distant future and I imagine that with Katolis's human technology that they could eventually rebuild and get as powerful as they were before.
They could use fire rubies in their staffs though the Sol Regem staff looks cooler, but and I'm curious if they will ever get the golden building materials again.
I feel like based on the architect making a temple that this could become a more permanent settlement. What could really change the future of the sunfire elves is the forge and Sol regem since they revere him.
I presumed the mini sun within Claudia's staff is made by Sol Regem (ironic that his primal stone was turned into a dark magic)
A real point of strife would probably be their traditions, what I hope is that Janai doesn't leave the humans ignorant to all of their traditions because that will lead to more incidents like the architect.

I like how the show demonstrates tradition vs change. Both siblings have their rights and wrongs, but Karim can't stand the change and is too set on tradition, even those he knew were outlawed as said in the last episode; and with Janai I feel very sorry for her because of how much she has to deal with, balancing trying to improve relations between the elves and humans.
In the end, Karim went too far and even tried to kill his sister for the throne. I felt bad for him because he has good intentions but is letting his impatience and bias overcome him. Aaravos will definitively control him later on, I think.

I also think Karim will be a problem in the next seasons, he is a perfect victim for Araavos as a powerful mage. The good thing is Zubeia is on the "human" friendly side. I don't know if Sol Regem would go against her, she is the Queen after all and powerful as well.

I realized that the Sunfire subplot is meant have them not knowing about Aavarovs’s escape until he does physically reveal himself after he gets out of that prison.
I am realizing that this subplot is to show the human and elven relationships while the heroes go stoping Aavarovs.
But there are humans are aware that Aavarovs is escaping like the crowd during Zubiea’s visit for an example, because it’s hinted from their scared and shocked looks that heard stories of Aavarovs’s treachery.
And I am not a supportive of Karim, but I am scared that he is going to get killed by Aavarovs just like his oldest sister did in Season 3.

Well theres defently going to be conflict between sun elves and humans.
The praying elf and architect being both wrong( though the lady human was more at fault there in my opinion)
After all she was correct that it was a huge risk to the camp. Hell the elf could have done his ritual outside of the camp.
But given the sun elves lived in mostly stone/fire proof stone homes and areas I'm also not faulting the sun elf for not being as cautious. Also if someone dug up a family member and desecrated them I'd lash out to(since the candle ritual being ended prematurely is like damming a soul to hell/purgatory).
Which lead to the issue that will likely effect them most. The sun elf wasn't punished ether if only for not explaining the candle ritual to the crowd and doing it in a safer area

I have one huge question about all of this. They said humans were banned from xadia after learning dark magic. They never made it clear what that actually means. Were humans from the magic land originally? Were they kicked out of their ancestral homes and cities destroyed just because the elves said all humans have to go?
Also, I can't believe the video tried to justify what Sol Regem was trying to do. He is an insane monster willing to kill a city, women, and children included, as a lesson to all other humans. I don't see him as the good guy. I see him as genocidal. The Human mage that Blinded him was 100% in the right there. There is no way to not see taking him out as necessary. What if he does the same thing again? He could easily refuse to believe that ANY human could get magic by non-evil means and try and try to kill another random city.
Not to mention that earth-blood elves are apparently just as evil as any dark mage. They torture dragons until they break mentally. We know these things can talk. We have met quite a few with full human intelligence. Yet they literally whip them into beasts of burden. They are slavers, plain and simple. If the main group didn't catch Zim, he would be a slave trained just like any other dragon. Until the dragon queen starts slaughtering the elves, or maybe they will be forced to the nonmagic side of the continent just like the humans. Either way, it isn't like humans are the only ones committing crimes against magic beings.

    Dragon Prince Theories
    1. Aaravos' Guide looks like Gollum (Picture Riddles?).
    2. We know the Tidebound Elves are involved in Aaravos' prison.
    3. Clue to Prison Theory
    - Sky Archdragon: The Mirror = The Prison's appearance
    - Earth Archdragon: The Map = The Location of the Prison
    - Ocean Archdragon: The Blueprint = Entrance and features of the prison
    4. There are no Star Archdragons but only Void Dragons and Star Devouring Dragons.
    5. The Key of Aaravos reminds me of the One Ring (Callum couldn't drop it in the lava).
    6. Viren became unconscious like Callum when he reused Dark Magic. He might go through the same mind journey Callum went through and find his primal source (Likely Star Magic?). The end credits images of Episode 9 showed Viren in his Dark Magic form, becoming exhausted, and collapsing like Callum did when he first used Dark Magic.
    Book 5: Ocean Theories
    1. The Tidebound Elves are well known for their powerful magic.
    2. The Tidebound Elves are needed to help free Rayla's Parents and Runaan.
    3. The Blueprint of Aaravos' prison is guarded by the Ocean Archdragon.
    4. With the blueprint, Claudia's group will free Aaravos in Book 6: Star.
    5. Team Zym will meet descendants of the Tidebound Elves who crafted the prison.
    6. Rayla hates water so she will be scared underwater at Tidebound Archipelago.
    7. Rayla's reunion and future relationship with her parents is similar to the relationship between Nya and her parents in Ninjago Season 14 Seabound. An overcaring mother who wants to spend more time with her daughter with a supporting father.
    8. Rayla and her parents' reunion example: ua-cam.com/video/HkQxvAi4lak/v-deo.html
    Character Similarities to other Stories
    1. Aaravos reminds me of Sauron (Annatar) and Darth Sidious.
    2. Viren is like Count Dooku and Saruman combined.
    3. Claudia reminds me of Morgan Le Fay
    4. Callum reminds me of Anakin Skywalker, Merlin, and Frodo.
    5. Ezran reminds me of Bran Stark, Aragorn, and King Arthur.
    6. Rex Igneous reminds me of Smaug and Nelfarion (Deathwing).
    7. The Startouch Elves remind of the Maiar (Lower Ainur).
Dragon Prince Location Similarities to other Stories
    1. Umber Tor reminds me of Erebor.
    2. Tidebound Archipelago will probably look like Atlantis
My favorite moment was Rex Igneous
What I love about Rex Igneous is that he had enough of everyone's BS (Dragons and Elves). He hated his former friend Avizandum because of his bloodthirsty and god-loving nature over humans. Rex opposed Avizandum's beliefs and he himself does not disdain humans despite his isolation for hundreds of years. His isolation and the way Rayla stabbed his hand to wake him up made him angry but seeing Zubeia, an old friend of his who just lost her husband, softened Rex to end his rampage. I also like the reason he respects humans because he was a friend of one (Orphan Queen -> Harrow & Ezran's ancestor). I think one of the reasons why Rex isolated himself was because he was disappointed a young, bloodthirsty Avizandum became the Dragon King and how the dragons and elves still war with humans even though some humans, including the Orphan Queen, saved Xadia from Aaravos and his pawns. Rex is similar to Count Dooku in his reaction to the corruption of the Jedi and Republic. But unlike Dooku, Rex is not a tyrant nor a dictator and instead isolated himself to ignore Xadia's BS.
Also, the way the Dragons keep Elvish armor and weapons make totally no sense. They are not the dragon aspects from World of Warcraft they are just dragons (they can't shapeshift into visage forms). However, it would make sense if you pay gold, money, and great elvish armor and weapons for things that they need from other elves. Leaders do need to pay to get food and other things that they need (even rulers need to pay money).

I wonder if Aaravos will somehow manipulate Karim. I mean this saga is supposed to focus on Aaravos, and so far the Sunfire elf story line seems to have no connection to the rest of the major plot, nor Aaravos. Plus Karim is a Sunfire elf mage, and as we know, mages are Aaravos's prey.

It’s going to come to point where Janai will have to make a choice if Karim escapes steels the Sun seed and causes the Sunfire Elves to go even more down hill and likely with the death of Janai herself which may cause sweet Aunt of Ezran and Callum to go full deaf Tasmanian Devil on karim

You know I'm sick of the little sibling, uncle, or advisor being the villains of anything royal in media why not shake it by making it an aunt that's the bad guy or cousin

I must say the characters in dragon prince are grate but it feels like there's a elephant In the room. Witch is how Aunt Amaya is a hypocrite in the dragon prince that comes from the what Callum said about the elf's in the show early on. Then having Amaya date and to be married to one is some thing really interesting but I would love to see Amaya actually get talked to about it and I think that could make good story arc for her and the sun fire elf's would be some thing I would love to see in the show and if not then that would be a really missed opportunity to do in the Dragon prince.

This idiotic storyline with amaya and jennifer and the boring conflict(that literally came outta little flame)between humans and elfs was the most lame story they have ever told in the entirety o series. They just stole a lot of time from the main crew, which we should spend the most time with.

I’ll be honest I REALLY Don’t like this subplot to kinda show what I mean let’s take a look at another subplot that was also somewhat political. I’m talking about viren’s subplot in the first few seasons. The reason I like this subplot is because it often affects the princes and Rayla. It’s also a way we get to discover more about Viren’S abilities as well as his quest for more power. And even before all that we KNEW he was the main villain we knew he was gonna get to a Situation to severely affect the main characters which what do you know he did. This subplot here is the exact opposite. You knew the guy was going to lose cause Amya and Janai had a scene when Janai was like I wanna be “queen for my people” and so we knew she wasn’t gonna stand down and karim saying “she will stand down” like it’s his motif in Hamilton gets annoying fast. another thing is we knew he was gonna lose considering that he’s not freaking viren and is a minor villain as of now. Also another question I’d to ask first why would you get a human to be the architect for your home second. WHY WOULD LITERALLY ANYONE who takes up the job as architect not freaking fire proof a camp that half of the residents have the ability to conquer fire at will. And another thing is if you’re building for a race you don’t know much you should probably ask them what they need maybe they need specific places for rituals or just anything cause these people literally aren’t humans.
