It was an honour to have you share your story on the Spoken Fest stage, Rahul!! As much as we love the video, it does not do justice to the wonderful vibe that you created at the festival while telling your story 💛 PS: for those wondering, this is not a Rahul Subramanian fake account.
Rahul's way of thinking is amazing, literally. His pun, and his intention towards making a point in his own cheerful way shows how he envisions the world. And I admire the way he addressed the old French lady- His words embraced reality, he made it relatable to us. Immense respect for him, he found happiness in making people laugh, and the way he discovered is very unique. Thank you Rahul for bringing smile on our faces ♥️
The vibes I get from this story are of catching up with an old friend -- I love the details, and how Rahul Subramanian explains the logic behind his actions, it feels like watching it happen in real time!
@Rahul, you mentioned here....why was that old French lady going to Amsterdam....perhaps she was part of the relics of the "museum" that you were planning to visit in Amsterdam 😂😂
It was a perfect blend of storytelling and comedy, his expressions like always were on point, made me go lol, i thoroughly enjoyed his narration, and the closure was just so heartwarming and hilarious at the same time!❤😂
We are so glad you noticed the title, though!! Rahul Subramanian is one of our favourite comedians, and this was his first attempt at storytelling as an art form. We hope you enjoyed it.
So sad that no one actually getting the real joke behind every punchline 😂😂 When I moved out of India like 5 years back then I lived in Amsterdam for 1 month because I have to experience all the MUSEUMS 😂
Hey Sarthak, it was an open air spoken word festival and we didn't have mics to capture the audience laughter. We will work on rectifying that next time. But we're glad you enjoyed the story, nevertheless!
Dammm it’s sweet of you to cherish the experiance and turned it to this thattt lady was so racist and this is true theyvare and they shouldn’t be i mean people should be vigilant about terrorism but not rascist thin line
You chose crazy route 😊. Far better (time & money wise) would be Berlin -> Ams n then Ams -> Paris. Btw I live in NL for past approx 20 yrs , admire your work! 😊👍🏻
This is a storytelling festival -- in fact it was the first time Rahul Subramanian performed a full story! At storytelling shows, the crowd is there more to listen closely than to interact loudly with the artist. If you want to see another story that you may like, we would recommend watching Amol Parashar's story, "Not-So-Casual Sex" -- we promise you'll enjoy it!
Hi Devvratt, thank you for your comment. As Abhay mentioned, this is a story, not a comedy act. It's a platform for people and artists to share stories and anecdotes from their lives that stayed with them through the years. Hope you can watch it from that lens and enjoy it ✨
It started so that the audience has a way of showing they appreciate a line without disturbing a performer's flow... Especially for spoken word poetry, it helps poets maintain their meter without having to pause for audience applause.
Sorry you didn't enjoy it! This is a 100% true story that happened in Rahul's life, and we really loved it. However, we hope you like Rahul's next story, when it happens ✨
Thank you Kommune.. This was my first attempt at doing story telling and I enjoyed it immensely ❤️

Rahul Subramanian is truly underrated!
This guy always have some swag factor in his stand up set

I don't know French because I took Sanskrit, that was savage.
He told this story in Kumar Varun's podcast also.

standup sets sound kinda weird when you cant hear the audience but its okay still a great set.
