Great video, thanks for the tip, I knew the shackles could be swapped out but didn't know you could flip the Z-bar to do it. I just tested it and it works perfectly. You learn things every day!! Have a great day
Awesome! Thanks for checking it out. I bought the shackle change tool before knowing about the z-bar method. Sometime later I found out about it while on the Abus website. Makes me appreciate the 83 series even more. Have a great weekend.
Omg I love how you said ""we will go ahead and drop the screw"!!! You didn't miss a beat man, that's pro right there. I'm loving your videos! I'm so glad I subscribed!
@@SnakePicks I'm getting pointers off of your videos on how to talk on camera. You do an amazing job! Let me know when you're ready to do your giveaway for the 200 subs and I'll share it for you too! You'll get 200 in no time. Your content is amazing!
@@StevesLockPicking I almost opted for that but part of my collector obsession involves being able to stare at my locks frequently 😆 I may get fancy and setup some shelves with LEDs
All these years I've been using a big flat head screwdriver, never knowing about this tool. Great video brother. Remind me next time we do a package swap to send you my stickers and cards
Thanks for watching and sharing your trick. Another way is to use a flathead screwdriver. The Abus 83 series is one of my favorites due to how versatile it is.
Beautiful I love the look of all brass, excellent upgrades to those two. And great cores in them as well. Very helpful tips 👍. Have you picked that bilock?
Thanks!! I’ve not yet attempted to pick the bilock. I want a new tensioner which will fit perfectly in the faceplate so I’m not tensioning solely off the small separating piece. Thinking about ordering a set of tensioners from Multipick.
@@lanceliddell5894 Is it the actuator missing or the tailpiece which interacts with the actuator that is missing? If it’s just the tailpiece, then there is hope, as that means there is room for you to fit a bypass tool in to reach the actuator. If the actuator itself is missing, then it’s probably a bricked lock. My buddy Freediver was sent an Abus Rock to rescue after someone forgot to install the tailpiece during assembly. Here is his video describing the situation and showing the bypass tool he used: ua-cam.com/video/eeaBqUwyOUM/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared Good luck 🍻

thank you for the tip I always used the tool. if i didn't have one I would drop the drive and the ball bearings pull the shackle that way.

Ottimo video complimenti. Mi puoi dire che modello è l'abus eighty?
Grazie. Si tratta di un modello ibrido ABS-PAD8345CSHS securitysnobs.com/ABUS-Brass-Shrouded-Padlock-with-BiLock-or-Abloy-Protec2-Core.html
Any ideas on removing the core after accidently installing without accuator?

Hey there! I’ve picked up mine from a seller on eBay. So far that is the only place I’ve seen them for sale.
