Some good stuff here but wiring the boards together (twice) is just jankey! 😂
Thought the same
It makes sense when you realize these aren’t really tips, it’s just powertool ASMR
Toe nail it. Done.
⁶þŕþ
I found it satisfying to watch, but practically, I have no idea why you would want to do it that way 😂😂😂
As a carpenter the wire nail thing makes me lol pretty hard. They sell brackets made of galvanized for all types of joints and you use thick joist hanger nails, not siding nails lmao. All of the other tricks were pretty cool though.
3:52 you can connect the two boards together with only 2 nails and no wire
3 and some glue
Match the direction of the drill with the reflection is wildly ingenious!
I don’t get this one? 🤔
It’s just to make sure that the drill is straight up and down instead of going in at an angle. That’s the idea anyways.
@@Qu9ke I totally get how it works. I just think it is a brilliant and useful observation.
@@seanb7124 I was replying to stuntmanwill who left the first reply to your comment. He was saying he didn’t get it. Sorry I guess when I reply on youtube using a web browser it doesn’t say who I am replying to.
@@Qu9ke it's never done that to me. You should be able to choose to reply to them, with your mouse and the little buttons either on the side or underneath (been a bit since I've used all of the different browsers, not sure if any are now different). Just hover your mouse over them, and they should tell you what they do. The one to reply to the one you wanted to speak to should be below their comment, for most browsers, at least.
I had to trouble-shoot a shorted phone Cable once … turned out someone years before fastened the cable to the wall using that screw method with the tie-wraps, and after a few years the “cross” in the screw head (for the Phillips driver) worked its way through the cable jacket and made a minor short. So, if you use this method, fill that in with something to soften the edges! But it DOES make for a clean install!!!
Thanks for that tip.
@@beccabbea2511 You’re welcome! 😊
He really likes nailing and wiring boards together ! ❤😂
What was the point of nailing and wiring pieces of wood together? You would get a stronger and cleaner bond if you flattened the two mating surfaces and wood glued them together plus it wouldn't look so crazy.
Ever make your own trusses?
Yep, there's some strongass woodglue
Looks cool
Wood stitching is very popular for many reasons. Glue has far less lateral strength for starters... the "crazy look" as you call it, some people find it ideal aesthetically for a given situation.
@@soldjahboy Not the glue I use.
Well the first one is much harder work than a simple nail in cable clip made for masonry 🤷🏼♂️🙃
Hola UWOO, excelente video, muchas gracias, abrazos.

I'm glad you didn't hit the wrong nail with the hammer 😜
Bravissimo. Grazie
Alright. That Teflon tape tip will really help me out
The first one is totally wrong. NEC says that conductors must be protected from physical damage to a certain height(I run conductors in conduit up to the floor joists to not give a shit about the height requirement), so running the zip tie into the brick is still a code violation needing fixed.
brilliant idea
Wiring the boards together is quite an awful “trick”🤣
You'll change your mind once you see it for the second time 😂
Excellent informative video. Thank you!

That wire trick with the studs is nice. However, I don't think it's to code in my area, at least. We are required to use structure plates.
Great video my friend
As a good recommendation never drill into the brick to anchor in simple cables, always drill into the motor. You can always repair the motor if needed but not the brick.
mortar, good suggestion
He pricked the brick. 👌
As a good recommendation shut up
I can repair the brick (special powers)
Nice method. Well done

I noticed the bandaid. I'm guessing when he was wrapping wire over nail points
thank you for the knowledge
I really like the zip tie idea.
This proves you can teach an old dog new tricks like me. Good stuff you have my friend.
Very good
The zip-tie trick is nice, but only necessary when all hardware stores in your area have run out of cable clips that are made for this exact purpose and usually as easily available as zip ties.
The whole video is based in a "lack of hardware stores" scenario where you have to be creative with limited tools and pieces. But as today living in Florida I just go to the closer store or online and get what I need...
Ikut hadir selalu nyimak videonya teman
Better than most life hack videos. 😂

As former cabinet maker. Sometimes when you use screw in wood and end up stripping the wood. I use toothpick in the hole then screw it. Always works. Customers never knew 😳🤫
No no sir a golf tee works much better.
@@robertthurston6858 Yeah not everyone has golf tees laying around and the toothpick(s) works fine.
I’ll try the golf tee next time as multiple toothpicks didn’t seem to work for a stripped out screw on a door hinge for me.
Using a toothpick can push the screw to one side which can be a problem with a door hinge etc. I bought cut to length wall plugs available on eBay or Amazon and drilled the hole out just enough to be able to hammer the plug in so it's nice and tight. Now the screw is still perfectly centred.
@@adrianthoroughgood1191 - Good suggestion. I didn’t know about those.
goog👍👍👍
Thank you!
🤯 very good 👍
Great stuff. Thank you.
We used to pluck old worn out screwholes with matches( of course without the head) and put new screws in. Worked quite good
Toothpicks and wood glue.
Make your own hole filler with sawdust and wood glue. You can sand it and stain it.
@@imustbecrazy5626 yep, done that before! I learned that trick by trial and error by myself a long time ago! About... 25-ish years before YT existed, I think! 😄
@@imustbecrazy5626
You don't even really need the wood glue. The toothpick itself fills the gap. Glue is the same as just plastering the hole.
Just Wonderful!
I'm going to try that CD method of drilling freehand!
@retsirk Thanks for your reply! If the lighting is right, you can see the reflection of the drill bit, but in a few practice attempts I couldn't get the results I need.
A jig is always handier, IMO. They're found all over online. Found mine cheap, used, on eBay. 😊
@@MaryAnnNytowl Thanks for your reply. I used a shelf pin jig to help with the current project. I'll check out what eBay has to offer.
00:07 this way saves a dowel, but u could also use a bigger zip tie and just screw through it (on wood or if u need more stability)
Dowel?
Or you could just buy a cable clip 🤷♂️
@@pippipster6767 I _think_ they mean one of those special screws-with-sleeves for concrete or brick. Why they called it a dowel, though... maybe a translation error?
Ok, when he put 7 nails through the wood and wrapped wire around them there should have been a lot of pools of blood from striking the nail tips. This must’ve been highly edited to remove the blood (or the corpse).
Eng:Why is this in the playlist of all 2rbina 2rista music videos??
The sped up hammering of the nails is very satisfying
Well, at least now I know how to sew wood together.
Haha yea what was that one about?
Guess he ran out of glue lol
Did you notice it looked ikea like soldering wire
Yea, take it "to the next level" by crocheting the wood next time!
@@timothywalker8146 No, it looks like common galvanized metal wire.
Solder has a distinctive limp noodle feel when you bend it.

good idea ..best
Effing brilliant, thanks.
In the first clip, you should put the serrated side outside.
How is stitching two pieces of wood together with nails and wire exposed at the surface "next level" work? If someone was doing this, I'd say that using a loose tenon, biscuits, or even pocket joinery would be taking it to the "next level".
Just enjoy the video
@@luiscostabile there is a comment section for a reason. And they are absolutely correct. Joining those two pieces of wood with nails and wire was the stupidest, moat wasteful thing, build-wise, I've seen in a long time!
@@MaryAnnNytowl Have you ever heard of MacGyver? sometimes you just have to do something in a pinch and get the job done, this brilliant solution of just nails and wire provides a very strong join, and it's very cool. Oh yeah I'll get out my biscuit joiner , LOL
Another trick for binding two pieces of wood together is using wood glue and small metal strips.
Wiring boards together? No brackets?
No wood glue.
Do you know what they used to drill the hole through the glass? It looked like it might have been a wheel from a regular glass cutter, but I'm not sure.
A propane torch will remove air bubbles in epoxy, lightly torch the surface, it thins the viscosity and brings the bubble to the surface.
Yep!
Glad I also have a homemade device for extracting bubbles from resin. Video is good tho
Muito legal vou botar em prática
SOME of these seem like a good ideas but OTHERS seem like a lot of work for what you get. Also the wire to join boards is done twice and the zip ties for cables is done twice. Not trying to be negative just my observations.
I have subscribed to see more ideas from you.
Dng 1 pkt🤝🏻🤝🏻
Why would you go through the trouble of using nails and wire to join wood when there are far better and faster ways of joining 2 pieces of wood?
Because UA-cam
Yep, wood glue for one!
Yeah the only good idea here is the blue epoxy resin on the wooden table at the end, that was kinda cool. The rest of it was complete rubbish
It's for looks. Ive seen heavy wooden chairs constructed like that. It looks pretty good
It's called "wood stitching" and it has it's uses. Like glue has it's use, and screws, and nails, and dowels, and the 400 different types of cut joinery. There are loads of uses for wood stitching... but I guess because you can't think of one, everything else is "far better".
Why drill brick when the mortar is so close?
I wondered the same thing. _~shrug~_
