Great idea. The Knicks have more picks than they can use. Can't draft/develop 2-3 guys every draft. Send a boatload of picks with Bojan and get it done (and it's going to take a boatload). With OG, Hart, and Bridges on the team, Thibs probably won't be able to wear them all out. If at least two of them are available in the playoffs, the Knicks will be serious contenders.
Sad that this has to be thought of because we have a coach who refuses to stop over playing his players . Simple fix tell him if he doesn't change his ways he can coach another team .
good take. Bridges is an Iron Man. Boatload sounds good but I'm cutting it off hard at 4 1st rounders, which is 1 more than it should be really.
Bogey and ouch maybe Deuce and 3 firsts should be enough to get it done.

@@nellynel4583 Ouch indeed. I don't like the idea of giving up Deuce. However, if the Nets are smart they will insist on getting McBride. The Knicks picks are not great. Probably would be best for Deuce. Not much need for Deuce and Brunson to play together in lineups with Bridges around. Deuce deserves more than just being Brunson's backup.
I'm getting tired of hearing Randle's name come up in trades right now. When he returns and plays with JB again they will be battling the Celtics for 1st seed next season.
Finally someone with common sense. Randle averaged 26 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists before injury. The guy is a powerhouse and can lead a team while Brunson rests and Vice versa.

Here’s what I’d do:
Extend Brunson, Keep Randle, Resign Hartenstein, Resign OG, trade for Mikal bridges using Bojan, a bunch of picks (don’t include Randle or even deuce), haven’t decided if I want to trade Mitch or not, but u can’t keep both his contract and Hartenstein. I’d probably trade Mitch, Bojan and some picks for Mikal, and use a draft pick on a center to back up Hartenstein

similar to my take, trade up for an NBA ready big this year (I like Missi, or Clingan). I like a Bojan+3 1sts for Bridges trade if possible. I also really like Jaren Jackson Jr for this team - he's like rolling the scoring of Randle and the rim protection of Robinson into one younger, healthier, more solid all around player. Randle and Jacksons contracts also line up perfectly - Knicks could package picks with Randle. Another option there is to package Randle and Robinson, and get back Jackson and Marcus Smart.
Brunson, Bridges, OG, Jackson, Hartenstein --- McBride, Divo, Hart, Achiuwa, Missi, Smart off bench. So many options there.
Nets aren't giving up bridges for that crap unfortunately. Unless he demands to be traded. The ball is in his court
@@WaGwan-n6x 1st round picks are crap? Bojan obviously is basically just salary filler, I mean he's a fine player and would probably be 20ppg on the Nets but he's not changing the trajectory of the team obviously. The centerpiece of a trade would be like 3-4 1sts probably.

3 team deal..between NY, CHI and Bklyn..Lavine, Sims, Mcbride and picks to Bklyn, Mikal and Caruso to NYK, expiring contracts of Bogdonavic & Simmons and Mitch & picks to Chicago
I wouldn't mind these trade scenarios but I would rather have Demar Caruso coming off the Knicks bench and have our starters run it back one more season

Listen. Don’t talk about trading Mitch Robinson. We saw how Pacers were taking the ball to the rack against I-Hart. Mitch is the real rim protector. You saw what Embiid did to I-Hart in these playoffs. Philly will also make moves. You take the chance of Embiid dominating the Knicks and kicking them out the playoffs next season by getting rid of Mitch.
Depends what happens with IHart, if he's willing to take the smaller deal with NY its hard to turn that value down. But Knicks could also A) trade up in draft and get Clingan or Missi or B) trade for an upgrade like Jaren Jackson Jr who is in final year of contract, young, and is basically Mitchell Robinson defense but with a killer offensive game. I absolutely love Mitch. However, whoever you pair him with has to be ready to play starter level minutes and stay healthy cause Mitch gets hurt. And he also doesnt provide offense and can't shoot free throws. Randle and picks for Jaren Jackson Jr. works money-wise... doubt Memphis would want to move him but maybe if they offered 3 1st round picks with Randle. Also you could package Randle and Robinson and get back Jaren Jackson and Marcus Smart, and Knicks address a lot at once.

@LysergiCoyott Not a single name you mentioned will make the Knicks better. They don’t care about young players. They care about now. You don’t know basketball as someone stated. @@beingmyself000 uhh, they said 'I DO know ball' , which I do, but OK. We didnt have Mitch this year either dude. Mitch is a liability. Hes 1 of my favorite players. But he cant stay on the court. Its hard to build around a guy like that. You have to keep another starter level center around. And when Mitch goes down you want a guy like MISSI or JACKSON who can rim protect. Its like you didnt read or understand what I was saying. I am trying to keep Mitch's rim protection on the KNicks while adding to the versatility of our centers productin profile / more scoring ability / health / youth etc.
If we can’t get Bridges, I wouldn’t mind trying to get Caruso from the Bulls.

@@youngOG87 not sure, but I’m imaging he would take Precious’ spot in the rotation. The backup unit would be McBride, Hart, Caruso, and Mitch Rob. I think this is ok because we can have OG play backup PF with this unit like they did with RJ at the start of the season except OG can actually guard other PFs.
A lineup of McBride, Caruso, Hart, OG, and Mitch Rob would be crazy defensively.

One way I could see this is if NY can find out who (player not on the Knicks) the Nets would trade for Bridges , and then make the three team trade. Nets might not want Bridges to the Knicks but, they need to sell tickets and give their bots I mean fans something to believe in.

Get rid of Hartenstein or put him as backup center. Start Randall at the 5, OG at the 4, Brunson, Bridges at the 3 (he's 6'6 or 7'') and either Dante or Hart at the 2
Randle at the 5 is a bad take. That works only in so many situations. Come playoff time certain teams would have their way with him all day long. He can't really guard an Embiid or true centers, even with help from a guy like Achiuwa or Sims. You need a true rim protector. An ideal lineup for me is Brunson Bridges OG Jaren Jackson Robinson - with McBride Donte Hart Achiuwa Hartenstein off bench.
Go all in for Bridges…Knicks would have the best starting 5 in the east. But try to keep Mitch n iHart we need them both against embiid
I’d do Bogey and some combination of 3-5 picks for Bridges. I’d make at least 1 entirely unprotected just to give Brooklyn a little more enticing

They’re not trading Randle. One of the best power forwards and beginning to realize there’s no I in team. Bridges would be a great addition. They hopefully can get it done.

The Nets will NEVER give up Bridges to the Knicks! Why would they? The Knicks are THE team in New York. The Nets will never be THAT team. Why would they help the Knicks win a championship!
Because the Nets are in a bad position, they can trade with the Knicks, get a few draft picks, and a couple of veteran players.

He's good but he's replaceable.
@@chrisbradley3224as currently constructed i dont think he is. his defensive intensity as well as his growth confidence wise have been massive for the second unit. and he performed very well when called upon to start. they dont have someone to fill that role and i dont see a situation where they get someone back who can fill that role.

Bridges would be a perfect fit. If Hartenstein leaves, Isiah Jackson from the Pacers may be a nice add. Not sure if he’s on the trade block.

Also Murray played SG on the hawks and he's is another ball handler who can get his which the Knicks desperately needed and he can play both sides of the ball . I guess you loved brunson getting tired because he has to bring up the ball, cant use the screen to the tee because hes tanked , our back up pg has to set screens because he too cant get his , I guess you like when brunson was out nursing an injury they had no one to facilitate the offense. It's a reason why plenty of Knicks fan including the organization wanted Murray at the right price.
