I'd definitely watch a full series of this. Especially since the game has a clear goal and they are forced to move their base all the time which should keep them from getting to sedentary and letting the series die from getting caught up in side-quests

Typical Duncan: runs ahead and grabs ALL the weapons and armor and then runs off. And when somebody brings it up, he's like "why am I the fighter?".
These guys get so easily distracted, also the rush to get items is real. Needs more organisation :D
This seems like a ton of fun. I love the Half Life style and this has that "I wonder what's next" feel to it

i've wanted a survival game in office buildings like this. gives me backroom vibes almost, i've always wanted to explore living in a liminal spaces, and this is fits the bill well.

@@liallen9380 i mustve missed it. i only watched TTT from the first few years then later these past years got tired of it.
@@xXxSkyViperxXx At this point the joke is roughly I think... 10 years old? At least partly exacerbated by the Kermit skin and it's adoption, and the Lewis-Zylus TTT rivalry (because of course it is). And the fact IIRC he actually *can* speak French fairly well, or at least has been documented singing the anthem to lean into the joke.

I like the idea of this game a lot, enough that I immediately went to try and get it but the game only has closed testers right now. That being said, I think they've already started with a giga fucked up crafting system.
With how many items there are and how few inventory slots you guys had, it looks like a real big dick ache to collect and craft. Everything should be crafted out of a few basic materials and some rarer materials thrown in for big important milestones. This just looks like the crafting/collecting will be very frustrating.
Rubber, Plastic, Wood, Scrap Metal, Copper. Just make things salvage down into their basic components that are then used for crafting, that's the best way to do crafting for ease/fun tbh.
Small inventory leads to a rewarding progression. Thats why backpacks are in the game. Same as 7dtd. The early game is a struggle and I personally think that's where the fun is. That being said I do like a good streamlined experience too.
Also it Promotes Co-Op, If 1 person can't carry all the materials then they can get spread across a team.

There's no benefit to forcing coop. if there are instantly 15 different items and the starting inventory is 6, you have fucked up. There's no ifs ands or buts about it. especially not as this is literally the beginning of the game, this is essentially the introduction/tutorial, and already they're being forced to juggle 4 peoples worth of items through several forced base location changes? No that's just bad game design.
@@scmansfield90 I have hundreds of hours in 7dtd, I think they do a good job. But 7dtd instantly lets you build decent chests, and lets you carry a sizable amount of all the IMPORTANT stuff with ease. You just can't carry many stacks of everything. This game is not even close to 7dtd in inventory space/material gathering.

My only complaint is that there is no Lewis or Simon. I know Simon doesnt really do videos anymore for health reasons or w.e, and Lewis cant be in every video, but I transferred a lot of emotional connection to Lewis when Simon stopped appearing regularly so I kind of need him to show up lol.
Dont get me wrong, i appreciate ravs zylus duncan ben and nilesy, but i subscribed to Lewis and Simon Yogscast ☹️
