Info on her Persona: Awilda, also known as Alwilda, was a famous fifth century Scandinavian princess who embraced piracy to avoid her betrothal to a prince. The historicity of her tale is disputed by scholars and some consider her account to be that of legend. According to legend, her father, King Synardus of Gotland, kept her in a tower guarded by two venomous snakes and declared that any potential suitors who could best the traps of the tower and reach Awilda could take her as his bride. One day, Alf, prince of Denmark, succeeded in besting these traps and snakes and requested Synardus' blessing to marry Awilda. Awilda, knowing nothing about this mysterious prince, fled in the guise of a man from the tower and, with the help of some female friends, managed to commandeer a captainless pirate ship and eschewed royalty to become a pirate. After many conquests, Awilda drew the attention of the king of Denmark, who sent Alf and his naval army to dispatch the pirates terrorizing Scandinavian seas. Alf confronted Awilda's crew and bested them, binding them in chains. He approached Awilda and removed her helmet, and in that moment she revealed her identity as the former princess to him. Awilda, impressed with Alf's skill and bravery, offered to marry Alf after all, and the two were wed on the spot and lived happily ever after as King and Queen of Denmark. TL;DR: Scandinavian pirate queen. We see shades of both Ann and Ryuji's persona awakening here with Awilda desire to escape the clutches of a previous obligation. Oh and there's also the piracy and sports motif that she's borrowing from Ryuji. Her design shares alot with Captian kid and borrows from Ryuji's yellow color pallette too.

Japanese company gave it over to a chinese dev to make a mobile gacha out of it. It's only out in china as of now so having japanese subs wouldn't make no sense if its only in china.
so it seems Yuki is not going to be connected to the story, she is just a gatcha pull support? Hmmm, thats a shame. Though now i wonder, i know this retreads Ann's awakening, but i'm curious of the details in this backstory. Like why was this guy bumping into people in the real world on the subway? Hmmm....
If it’s anything like other character gachas has it simply allows you to pull for future characters despite only appearing in the story mode later on. If you are lucky. She will probably will have a story related to her down the line.
Visually it looks like Ann's. But story wise it feels like Ryuji's story. She mentions giving up on baseball, or something. While Ryuji stopped running due to his injury.
Not really. The being tied up at the beginning is the same but it is not sexualised. He blames this character for making him give up baseball. Given her persona is a pirate it is more like Ryuji's thematically
I sincerely hope Japan takes back ownership of this game series because as of now, with all due respect for China, their version of this gache is actually shit. After all, the character models keep glitching up.

I really love how she took the intense headache. Motoha only had to put her hands on her head, TWICE, both of which were there for JUST A FEW SECONDS!
I still believe Makoto took it far better than Motoha... But the latter taking it herself is a close second, for sure!
It should be noted that Arai’s surname isn’t Suwa like it was first thought, but Motoha! Kiuichi refers to her as Arai Motoha in the beginning here.
Funny, I just went back to the wiki and it has been adjusted to Motoha when I saw you write this. The external links are still referred as Suwa Arai.
It was Given Name, not Surname. Arai is the Surname

Judging from this, it seems that merope's lack of yellow eyes could be censorship as arai does not have them during her awakening.

Motoha's looking really cute in this cutscene.
I got a bit of translation from this video's translator. It wasn't that great but it's really all we have right now.
The new main characters take out their masks with ease. No blood on faces or no pain like the old ones.
