I was there yesterday for hiking... It didn't come across my mind that this place is super haunted. Well I enjoyed the walk and the beautiful old Masjid. Till I come across this 😅😅😅😅😅
I lived in Kampung Wak Hassan from 1964-1968--does anyone remember the pink and green bungalow with zinc roof? My dad took the entire village Malay football team in his car to play against the Naval kids and beat them! The ang mohs were really angry with my dad.The Malay neighbours were always touching my head,I now realise they were making dua for me,and I reverted to Islam 35 years ago. I recall the cakes I given during Ramadan. My great wish is to visit the last remaining village mosque in Sembawang InshaAllah. The kampung was a beautiful place full of wonderful people that shaped my entire life.
Adrian why introduce on the war bunker that is now in the park area- As someone studying in Sembawang Primary School nearby in the early 70's of Kampong Tengah,Tanjung Irau,Lobang Bom,Kampong Wak Hassan etc......with many malay friends- It is always advice not to play hide & seek on friday, don't leave your clothes to dry during the night,etc.....etc..... Friday practice of Silat,Harimau,Tuju-tuju,etc......etc......That is village life in the early days we experience & interesting.
The most memorable is the Warong at the main road & the warong food that is really original & genuinely prepared like the Tauhu Goreng & Nasi Lemak,Mee Rebus,Mee Soto,Mee Goreng, satay Etc....etc.... by the malay community staying there in the Kampong & the Patio food at 14th Mile - Tulang,Roti John,etc......etc.....
My aunt live at kampung wak hassan, there is 1 banglow named ponduk indah, owner is an Indonesian doctor,he kept exotic fish and his place known with "puntianak" my uncle works as his gardener, where else my grandparents place was at kampung tengah,my atok was the imam of the mosque there, there is a community centre there where we used to watch some movies. So much fun then before all was relocated elsewhere. There is a shop near Andrew ave now named charlie, wah nice to see such old stories been told
This is the place when i used to climb in to play back those day , i remember that there is an underground room and most of the wood furniture are hand crafted even the main door. U can also access to the roof top to a nice viewing balcony. I remember there is also some offering left over and what i heard is that the owner did not complete building the house due to some happening.
it's so cool that you guys involved somewhat indie creators like noel and jerome, am excited to see more of this series! adrian's hosting is really fitting for the format too.
About the story - Before Hillview Mansion was demolished, I, together with a colleague brought a Japanese overseas colleague from Japan's head office (he was here for training), to visit the mansion. upon arrival, we secretly decided to climb up the gate around after midnight. As we walked a long-turning driveway slope uphill, we could roughly see a long high stone wall. We encountered strange noise as we approached the entrance of the house. The whole area was super dark. My colleague shone her torchlight at the main entrance and we saw a mirror on the wall, then we felt a cold wind and suddenly a figure shadow passed us so quick, it was a very scary encounter. We all run towards the driveway slope down and quickly climb out from the gate towards our car parked below at Jalan Dermawan. Till today I cannot forget that incident and experience.
But, they did say that the village was last cleared in 1998. I reckon some of the last few villagers there (including the elders) would have some rudimentary knowledge of English.

Dude, what's with the flaming torch? Instead of making the scene looked dramatic, the torch make things looked stupid. People widely used battery operated flashlight since 1950s or might be even before that.
This place definitely scary. Tried walking alone into a lane after the PUB station along Andrew ave will give you the best and super spooky experience. You can hear quak quak sound non stop in the alley.

May I ask if there is no power lines, could there also still have electromagnetic waves in the space? How sure are we that when the EMF meter lights up is specifically due to spirit entities? Thank you.
Spirit entities tends to give off signals using EMF with electro waves. Its been tested and proven numerous times. Some things science just cant be explain but be true to urself to believe it or not :)
I think we are all made of emf but different levels and the levels are infinite of course we have to classify them into bands to suit our perspective or else they all scattering around. We use our senses to decode upon our what we familiar and accepted. Another words everything is electrics.
I read about the founder of Cycle and Carriage. Having the word 'Cycle' added into the company name which is selling Mercedes Car, is because the founder started out by selling only bicycles at first and later transform into selling Mercedes Cars, thus becomes a very wealthy and successful man. What happen to the founder, I do not further know, hope maybe his living family members can reveal more to us.
After retrenchment in 2009 I spent time to do things that I usually too busy with So I went Henderson Wave Bridge , Marina Barrage... If you manage to pause properly at 3:42 you will be able to see a really anti-climactic bad SFX makeup for the actor's ghost hand of the 4th and last finger. At 13:11 to 13:12 the meter reach the yellow bar(3rd light) at a split sec, so it did got closer a tiny bit more.

Shouldn't they speak Malay while communicating with the unknown, since it used to be a Malay village?
I like the way you speak and explained everything. Welldone.
