a susi air pilot landing on a mountain village in papua

i was watching the original video from bbc's "worst place to be a pilot" and right away i decided to pick a 4-minute clip that melted my heart. i felt as thrilled as the pilot and as joyful as the villagers. with indonesian subtitle, i wanted to share how indonesia really needs good air transport as it is such a big country with many lands and seas. it seems like road and rail development encounters more obstacles than airway development like what susi air does. private companies can start this without relying on government.
on java island we have been enjoying increasingly better road and rail transport, but this is much less the case in most other parts of indonesia. i hope this video inspires many indonesians to collectively put their intention and/or efforts toward providing good transportation systems throughout indonesia. we need more connections instead of more dwellings. we need a wider network of public transport instead of bigger malls. a call to the big corps!
