I don't know why everyone is seeing Antea living as the good ending. The game clearly shows this is the bad ending, as you have to sacrifice half the town to achieve it, plus the obvious ominous look from her after she resurrects and the fact that she still has to keep consuming? The good ending is clearly the one where she dies for good because "death for the dead". They have a great and emotional goodbye and that's the thing the game wants to teach, how it's hard to say goodbye to our loved ones, but it is necessary. Grieve as you will, but accept it. Bittersweet you may say, as it is life, but not bad ending at all. The bad one is the one where she resurrects.
Could not agree more. If I had to murder people to get her back, that would be loosing myself and my soul. Why would that be worth it? Death claims all in the end and Red would eventually join her, so with that in mind it would be better to have done good deeds you know won't cause more suffering for others. The living will be judged by the Court of Law, not by banishers.
The hardest choices require the strongest of wills Antea living is bad ending ,life to the living and death to dead, this was and has always been their motto, do remember that in the end they are infact banishers
Wow this game is bittersweet. I haven’t finished it yet, but during my play through I learnt what must be done in order for her to be resurrected. At first I chose the option to resurrect her first without thinking of the consequences and grave decisions I’d have to choose to bring her back her alive but I’m in three haunting case and I’ve yet to blame anyone because I do believe in rightful judgement. I can’t believe a video game have me so torn, I feel like its real life 😩
the answer was never to kill the living. he fights the dead and puts the dead to rest. his only options ever in all the side quests were either banish or ascend. never kill. he isnt the judge for the living.
You don't have understand the game and what Dontnod means behind there games, there no bad or good ending there just different ending, the game question you of why you make some choice during all the adventure and it's why it's incredible
did you ppl play the game?.... more than half of the ppl deserved to die, we got a spy, a few murderers (the cousin, the dude that help the bandits to wipe that village of natives, lying to the other girl and causing her death, the baker that harrashed the beer lady causing her death, the dude in the infarmy that killed the nurse, the dude that had 3 ghost inside of him) the 2 brothers of the camp that hated eachother and one killing the other, then we have all the people involve in Deborah´s murder all of them deserved to die, the governor, the old lady that hit deborah to death, the commander of the fort (he was involve in deborah´s murder too, but he wanted to die from the beggining so we just help him to die).... so a lot of them were guilty. the only ppl that deserved to live were both Thickskin´s sisters, both ppl at the forge of the camp, the nurse at the camp, the other nurse I mentioned was the one at the fort, a few others I didnt kill...... so you didnt kill innocent people... the resurretcion IS THE GOOD ENDING, Antea also said she blame on new eden´s people because of what they did, she die.... so she also wanted to resurrect
No... if you played the game, you'll know that the main character had to sacrifice a lot of human life to bring her back to life & sometimes he lied too, telling the person that there's a ghost haunting them, then he just take their life claiming he banished them
So why are they saying that bringing her back is the bad ending and ascending her is the good? It looks quite the opposite to me. Thanks to this I know which ending I'm going for.
Because in order to bring her back Red and Antea need to go around killing living people with the blame ritual rather than helping the living get closure and helping the ghosts haunting them ascend or in some cases be banished. To bring her back the two of them basically need to turn their backs on everything it means to be a banisher and kill scores of people for Antea to feed on. Bringing her back is a purely selfish act and given how many need to die for it to work? It's an evil act as well.
The one where he asscend her and tbey kiss and say goodbye and he becomes a better man seems to be the good ending because was you gone you gone cant kill people
I was so tempted to do the resurrection ending not to bring back antea but a good majority of secondary characters were major assholes like thickskin who showed zero guilt i was half tempted to side with the nightmare like "everyone sucked u need a hand?" I mean not all secondary characters sucked but still
I don’t understand why they said 5 ending ? I keep seeing 3 ending. Resurrection (Serial Killer Couple), Paradox (worst), Ascend which is best and let accept the fate of
There's technically 4 endings, BUT you can get to one of them in 2 ways so they say it's 5. Good ending you send her off, bad ending you bring her back, paradox you go back in time & last ending you banish her or did the exact opposite if what you said you'll do (I forget which one caused the 4th ending)
You bring her to life in this game and as much as i want a second game just because this was LEGENDARY, the story for bringing her back or not is over here, next one should be interesting if Red dies or something, or to be able to play with other characters or to have multiple stories ,for witches, demonologists, vampire hunters and so on.
Well I got the worst ending I didn’t. Blame enough people I actually think it’s a really good ending because I as red really wasn’t totally doing the right thing so I’m doomed to repeat my trip and try to do the right thing and let her ascend
@@zerobolt9506 not sure about the one where she is dead, she was alive on my play through, but maybe it has something to do with how you resolve some cases in the camp or something 🤷🏽♂️

Thanks. its exactly like that.
Exactly what I came here to say. There's nothing "good" about Antea living, because you have to damn so many people to reach that point.
The hardest choices require the strongest of wills

I got a lump in my throat with my ending getting her ascend i nearly cried, been a long time since a game did that 😢
I genuinely believe ascending antea is the best ending
It is
Because it is!
Oh . I brought her back too life .... Do I have to do the whole game again for the ascending ?
@@-chase- Yeap, and don't kill any human.
@@beenege You can kill a few humans and still get the ascend ending. Just focus on taking out the exceptionally bad people and sparing everyone else

Nah, the best ending is to ascend Antea, if not then why Antea didn't revive Charles?
Her comeback to life clearly the best ending
seems like it's not the best ending, both of them are started over and kill people like some serial killer couple

To be honest the resurrection ending isn’t that bad if there just killing bad people 🤷

@forbiden1151 ist right
Yes. There are 2 endings per oath. And a secret 1 for a total of 5
it has no bad ending it has been said
So they becoming killers after bringing her back isn't a bad ending to you 🤨

None of these endings are thr true ending there is a third ending apparently.
