DUDE, you put all that fret wear on a guitar in ONE YEAR? Did I hear that right? My opinion is that for you, stainless steel frets are an investment, not an indulgence -- the exact opposite of myself, the complete non-pro. Your RG350EX reminds me well of my own RG220B, which a rescued from a pawn shop and modified until I'm surprised I didn't turn it into firewood! You wouldn't blame me for it; I only paid $25 for it, because of a neck crack which I saw and brought to their attention. Glued the neck (inexpertly, but effectively -- it holds to this day), then replaced everything else: Floyd-style nut and bridge, pickups, and I even routed out extra wood so I could install the inserts that came with the new bridge. Remember the old Floyd inserts with the connecting bar (I have no idea what that was called.)? I found out I couldn't just hammer that in; it needed recessing. I did it, and will never forget hammering the inserts in with a hammer, an unfortunate wood block, and a whole lot of elbow grease! The result comes in somewhere between your barely detectable woodwork and Eddie Van Halen's functional wonders/visual disasters! It's rough, but I'd gig it tomorrow if I was gigging! Best of all is the fact that this guitar is MINE! I don't know nor care if anyone else likes or even could use this guitar. It's for one guy, and HE'S HAPPY!

Great story man, I do NOT care or stainless steel. Just don't like the feel of it
