I am literally a 21 year old w/ no kids living the single adult life & still found this vlog to be comforting, so I can’t imagine how other moms would feel watching this. Your channel always makes your viewers feel at home
100% agree. Im in the same boat
Same !!!
literally same and I am 25 years old
I'm a Mum, I adore Sarah, Kurt and Foxy...as a Mum watching this...I'm just like 'yep...toddlers' 🤷♀️ Don't know how I survived my son at that age but he's 8 now 👌
Hey Sarah, I don’t have kids. However I still appreciate this style of vlog. Real life stuff. Thanks for this. Good to know no ones life is perfect. Love to you all xx
Cdghvn th ui8 I
Highly agree, I'm no where near having babies and a hubby but I loveeee this kind of content
OMG! I agree 100% I would love to have kids one day so this is helpful!
Same
Just know you are doing a great job. Advice not needed
Behavioral therapist here!! Sezzy, you are doing an amazing job!!! It’s not easy to stay calm and have a neutral tone all the time, especially when it’s just one thing after another! A helpful tip that you could incorporate when fox is throwing something again is to model appropriate play/things he can throw. For example show him a squishy ball and lightly toss it whenever is appropriate to you (in the house/outside) that way he can still get that type of play but in an appropriate manner! We did that at my job with a lot of our kiddos and it definitely helped most of them! (Also great job having him go and pick it up!) ☺️
This is a very RIE approach isn't it, I learnt a lot of this from Janet Lansbury and helped soooo much with my 2nd child. When she kept climbing on the table I gave her something she could climb on instead of just stopping her. Made my life so much easier and my child was happy!
i love the idea of the ball
Wow! Love this advice! Trying it today 😅
You son is clothed, well fed, has a roof over his head, and his parents love him more than the world! You are doing awesome! Keep it up! 💙
@@indigosaura well sure, but I certainly wouldn’t say they are doing the bare minimum for their child.
It’s a girl…
@@snowie4082 LOL no fox is a boy
@@victorialang2103 oh who’s fox??? What the son’s name?
@@snowie4082 fox is their son.
Kurt: I can’t do that to him
Sarah: I can
Ahahaha this is such a mum thing I love it. My mum would do the exact same!!!!
Yea when my fam is on vaca and I have to babysit my cousin I follow Sarah's philosophy "goodbye and goodnight see u in the morning" 🥱 so no worry sez many can relate
You should totally put foxy in gymnastics my 3rd old cousin was the same with adrenaline and want to tumble around and now loves gymnastics gets a lot of the energy out
Second this, took both my toddlers to gymnastics around the same age as fox is. Also kind of let them explore how to be extreme but safely if that makes sense?
Highly recommend KindyGym!
My mom bought my daughter a mini trampoline w handle bars and sound effects for home. She got out all kinds of energy on it. We did gymnastics (tumble) too but was only once a week so nice to have trampoline. We'd also make daily obstacle courses. As she got older she took over creating them for mommy to do
I love seeing these ‘realistic’ ones that are actually realistic. There’s way too many videos out there that make it look so easy when it’s really not!
“Am I weak? Am I nice? Too strict?” Girl, this is motherhood and it’s so tough!
Kurt: i don’t know where he gets his weird things from
Fox: **copies everything Kurt does**
This vlog was IT Sezzy. The world needs authenticity and you execute it perfectly 💖
LOVE this type of content WAY more than the curated, “perfect” routine videos. There’s a time and a place for those types of videos, but it’s so comforting to see that influencers have real lives aside from the perfectly posed photos and poised videos we see on the internet 🥰
I think this was one of the first vlogs I’ve seen that accurately depicts life with a toddler 😂 I’m knee deep in toddler motherhood with an almost 2 year old and an almost 4 year old. You’re doing amazing Sarah, hang in there! 💕
Omg I have two Kids exactly the same age haha I feel you ❤️
You two are amazing parents. Don't doubt it.
“Did you just throw an apple at the wall?” I died. I have a 2 year old also and this is my life 🤦🏼♀️😂😩
hahahahahhahahahhaah
I liked you cranky mum voice 😂 “pick it up now”
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
But honestly, the things that have come out of my mouth that I never EVER would have imagined when it comes to repeating what my toddler has done 😂
Did u notice that on the way to get ice cream that Fox threw something & Kurt said “good throw” - so he is just trying to please dad maybe????
“ I can’t do that to him, he’s me mate “ 😂
😂
The way Fox bowed his head and extended his arm to start prayer!! 🥺
I love that you always approach situations as being “hard” or “challenging” rather than bad! You have such an admiral mindset as a woman and a mama!!
As a mother of a three year old, the “am I weak? I don’t know. Am I too strict? I don’t know” really hit me 😂
Same! 🙋🏼♀️
I have three, six, five and 1 almost 2. I go to bed every night asking myself these questions.
Mother of a 2 year old and I felt that too!!!
Literally my thoughts every day.
Seezy, as a young mom of a 1 year old boy who is coming into his trouble stage full blown, I loved this so so real life vlog so much! I loved this glimpse into how you parent Fox and I took a lot of tips from you! You’re a fabulous mama ❤️
Out of all the videos I’ve seen of mom’s vlogging, I have never related to a video more. 😭 every single thing about this vlog reminds of my day with my two year old from bath time, dinner time, to my husband lying in bed until our toddler falls asleep. Even the “down time” which is working late then watching a new favorite show. Everything is so relatable, I honestly needed this and from one mom to another…thank you, thank you and I’m rooting for you! 🌼🙌🏼 you go, Momma!
I know you’re not asking for advice and I promise this is coming from a place of kindness because I’ve been right where you are. Also totally get that lockdown doesn’t help right now… But we put my little boy into nursery 2 mornings a week when he turned 2. It was the BEST thing we ever did for him. He gets the socialisation and stimulation from the other kids and has some routine/structure to his week. He calmed down immensely, his behaviour improved drastically and his speech came on leaps and bounds. It also gives me a bit of breathing space a couple of mornings a week cause I’m currently on mat leave with my second baby who is 10 months old x
My daughter gets exhausted mentally and physically from daycare and we put on abc kids podcast and she is out!
She clearly said no advice. Respect that xx
I agree. Sometimes advice from a more ‘experienced’ mother is good. Socialization is so important and I know with COVID things are trying. Else she must just do motherhood her way/style. What you put into your children is what you get out.
His little “hiii” is precious!!
I cracked up when turned the water off & said “yeah what a shame” 🤣🤣
I love how real you are with us. Being a mom is tough at times and that’s just honest. You’re doing great, you are a great mom! Don’t be discouraged 💕
Totally understand, my toddler is exactly the same, parenting is hard but totally worth it. Loved the raw vlog 😊
I LOVE how real you are. I feel like you're literally talking to your besties in every video
Lying here watching this after being awake with my screaming toddler since 3:30am and it's definitely comforting to watch. Thanks for sharing such raw content.
I so appreciate these kind of vlogs!!! They make me feel “normal” 😅
I appreciated the "realness" and "rawness" Sarah. As a mum to 2.5 year old boy, I have days like that many days too. And it's nice knowing I am not the only one 🙏❤ I love all your videos, thank you for brightening my day on those spare few minutes I get when my toddler sleeps x
Love the honesty! Makes me more aware of what life will be like being a mum, it’s not always glamorous. Thank you x
This is so relatable to my life as a mom. I have a 3 year old son and I work from home since COVID. I wake up at 4am and start work until about 9am when my son wakes up. I to do not get to bed until almost 11pm every night or sometimes later b/c of all the mom duties and trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I am also in college while like I said previously work a full-time, at home, 40 hour a week job while having my 3 year old toddler her all day everyday with me. It is so exhausting and my toddler is a mess. I don't know if I exert more energy working, working out or yelling (#parenting) 🤣....your videos are awesome; keep up the good work and know that if you are a mother everyday is a struggle we just have to find the light in each day and remember to make time for ourselves everyday b/c it is easy to let self care fall through the cracks
Love watching you guys do literally anything as a family. Makes my whole day 🥰
You are a total beast, Sez ... being a mom is one of the most difficult yet rewarding jobs in the world and you do that on top of this wonderful career you've set up for yourself. Just keep powering through and doing what you feel is right for little foxy!
Try not letting him sleep after 3pm. My daughter would do this at that age. I had to set a strict nap schedule and if she wouldn't nap during that I just let her run, and if she got grumpy we went to bed earlier. I conquered it as a single mom. You got this. Parenting is a learning journey. You'll find your path no matter how bumpy.
So nice to know my toddler isn’t the only toddler like this lol. And it’s so nice to see a realistic vlog for once!! Keep up the good work mama 🖤
Watching you parent fox is so comforting, you're the best!
So happy for you Sarah, your family is so beautiful - including the chaos
They should make those like “destroy stuff” rooms for kids like the places adults can go and throw plates and destroy cars and random stuff but a kid friendly one
Oh my gosh yes!!!!!!!
That would be so helpful!!
It's called a forest :)
@@rayyg786 hahahaha
Loved the “extra raw”. I loved this vlog so much...and I don’t even have kids yet. Thanks for sharing!
I have never felt more seen. My toddler is actually the same way. Every night. Thank you I love this.
I just fall more in love with your house every time i see it! #goals
😂😂 we’ve all been there, he’s just testing the boundaries, you’re both doing great ❤️
*throws something*
Sarah: Oh… no!
Kurt: Uh nice throw!
Hahahahaha
As a mum of a 18 month old THANK YOU for showing this and helping to normalise sleeping in the same room as your toddler. So nice to see someone experiencing the same thing as me.
Omg Fox’s little “hiiii” in the beginning 🥺🥺🥺
This is my toddler EXACTLY!! The distruction, laying in our bed until he falls asleep, needing a reaction, etc. Thank you for making me feel better knowing I’m not alone. Days are long by years are short ❤️
Oh honey, you are doing SO SO great. My daughter is two and I don't believe in self soothing so I have literally sat in my bed for 2 years every bedtime and nap and done sit ups to rock her to sleep holding her. It sucked. Recently, we got ourselves religiously strapped into a very structured bedtime routine, and now all I have to do is upon finishing said routine, tell her to give her dad a hug and kiss goodnight, and then I tell her to go lay in bed, I tuck her in, and we're DONE 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻 After two years of hellish bedtime that wrecked my body, I am so thankful to say we have found our way through it as a unit. Even after this, she still woke me up literally every hour trying to get into our bed and I did indeed break at times because I needed rest. But I'm so delighted to report that she has slept through the night for two weeks now!!! It is so so so damn hard but I promise you will all find solutions along the way, together. You are all doing amazingly 💖💖💖 I loved this video. Also yes, my toddler is exactly like yours 🤣🤣🤣 pure chaos
Kurt: "Hes been very joyous today... how are you going?"
Sarah: "Dying..."
So relatable. This vlog is a week old and i still havent watched the whole thing because of my 2 year old haha. Theyre amazing, uncontrollable little crotch goblins
I love this raw content so much! And I love watching how you mother hehe please continue these kinds of vlogs! xx
fox is literally adorable i love sarah and her family so much!!!❤️
Yes your toddler is completely normal. I seriously wonder what goes through our toddler's minds!! Like why do they do what they do😅 when they give me a hard time, yes I get upset at the moment but inside I'm laughing cuz they get so creative and wild. It's just funny to me that they can even come up with these things😅🤣 I'm from a large family with so many kids growing alongside mine & all kids are so different but the toddler stage is deff one of the hardest! It's like running around saving their life all day long and taking them down everything they climb😅 your honestly doing great!! I'm sure you don't feel comfortable showing everything that truly goes on. But trust me you're not alone!!! I'm raising a few of my own and I just motivate myself by knowing I'll be old one day and I WILL MISS THIS!!! Even on days they're so tough to deal with, I look at their sweet little face and tell myself I will miss every bit of this view once I'm old and they're all grown. TIME FLIES way way tooooo fast!!!!!!! Blessings🥰😘🤍
I really appreciate you sharing this !! You’re an amazing mum and makes me feel relieved that my toddler is just a normal toddler x
I love how it is so realistic, my fav types of videos ❤️❤️
Love love LOVED the REALNESS of this vlog! More please! It’s so refreshing to see & hear other mamas - especially someone like you who so many people look up to - show that your still human and just because your a big influencer doesn’t mean the reality of being a mom and mom life is any different. I hope that made sense. Your an awesome mom. I loved this video. keep doing your thang girl 🥰❤️❤️
Hi Sarah, first of all I love these kind of honest and raw blogs. I've been following you for a while and have a son almost Fox's age. I just wanted to let you know that over here in Germany more and more families have all kids sleeping in one room with the parents as long as everyone is happy with it. We never planned on doing it but somehow ended up sleeping in one huge bed with our son and (for us) it works out perfectly since nobody has to get up at night and we are all sleeping so much better. I know you probably feel a certain kind of pressure (especially from other moms or older generations) to have your child 'learn' to sleep by himself. But there are so many studies and certified people that say the exact opposite - it's so important to give this kind of safety to your child and if Fox needs you to be by his side at night right now then that's the only right thing to do. He'll want to sleep in his own bed sooner or later anyways. I think you both are doing an amazing job and there is no need to justify yourself for how you handle parenthood.
"Have fun, but don't be silly!" YES YES YES that's all we're asking for 🙌
He is so cheeky 🥲 you’re a great mum, your patience is always put to the test ❤️
Literally this is the most interesting/entertaining vlog I’ve ever watched in a while
I love how calm you remain most the time, it's super admirable.
Awww Fox's little hiiiii at the beggining- My heart!
Thx for being so real and raw!!! love this!!! So excited for ur giveaway too 😘😘
Absolutely love the real, raw day in the life's! They're entertaining and relatable, genuinely love this content so much!
Being a mum is the hardest job in the world, I love that you share your struggles because we all do and it makes all our mums feel normal or at least it does to me. Thank you for sharing xx
Omg I LOVE this vlog! I don’t have kids and don’t plan on having them for at least 10 years so mad respect for you guys! I found it hilarious and honestly I can’t imagine how hard it is when other people portray perfect lives! Thank you for a showing a real night time routine, I loved it! Love from Canada 💕💕🤗🤗
When Kurt says how you going and Sezzy says “dying” 🤣 I felt that In my mom soul #toddlers
oh my gooosh!! I LOVED this vlog!!! I swear every time I see Foxy I think I'm seeing my 2 year old. They act just the same. Thank you for being so honest and transparent!
You guys are the cutest family! My daugter is just over 2 years old, so I totally get you and although boys are probably busier than girls (or so "they" say) 🙈 it's exhausting! I get you Sarah! I get you Kurt! Our night time routine also goes pretty much the same. The thing is no one can tell you you are doing it wrong, because according to the book, they are also doing it wrong. My daughter goes to bed @ 20:30 😳 I know! People will have so much to say, but we are trying. Being a parent is difficult, exhausting, challenging. We are trying our best and that is all we can do. You guys are great parents and Foxxie is a great little person. In Afrikaans I will say you as parents are "ysters" 💪💪 Awesome!!! Well done! Keep doing you* ❤️
Your content genuinely turns my entire day around 💛 I appreciate every moment of yourself you put in to your work and am so thankful I have this to look forward to during my week
I have a 1 year old and he is a handful. These vlogs make me feel like I’m not alone dealing with a hyper active toddler ! Love you and your family. You are doing great and I look up to you 🤍
I am just obsessed with this. Yes, yes, yes- this is normal and amazing.
This was so refreshing to watch! Needed to see this today!
"If only that were true, Julia"...🤣🤣
This is honestly life! My toddler is a replica with that behaviour! I think you guys are doing a great job and it makes me feel good knowing others are in the same boat. 😍😍😍
Supporting your sons sleep always makes you a GOOD parent.
I love you for doing these vlogs! Makes all mom's feel less lonely in the struggle 🥰
Loooooooved this!!! Must be so challenging sometimes. Or a lot of the time! There’s no perfect toddler x you guys are doing amazing honestly you’re incredible parents
SARAH AND KURT, YOU GUYS ARE DOING A FANTASTIC JOB!!! This parent thing aint easy!
Sarah you're doing a great job! Toddlers are no joke lol it's all a personality thing with them (they are who they are).. my daughter just turned 2 and im feeling overwhelmed with the way she acts sometimes. Remember this too will pass! Just keep doing what you're doing mama
Single mama to a two year old - full time, full time work from home mum, We also have the added joy of another crazy lockdown here in south Africa. MY day only starts at 8pm after I've spent an hour lying next to my little one until he sleeps - won't sleep without me. Then I have to start on house work and then start my job. That puts me at around 2am bedtime every morning. this vlog just shows that parenting is hard - whichever way you have it and do it. How refreshing to see the realness of it all. I wish my toddler would eat as well as Fox! SELF SABOTAGE! Lawd! and how seen i feel when you said that. I have been guilty of family size chips too - eating my mama stress emotions. Sounds like you sometimes have what i have sometimes too - bedtime procrastination revenge - because you don't belong to yourself during the day. gahhh! I could cry - this video is NECESSARY REALNESS.
“It’s like he’s on drugs” 🤣🤣 I commend all parents, I know I couldn’t do it. You’re doing great
“He’s the scat man” killed me 😂😂😂
Sarah: fox did you just throw an apple at the wall?
Kurt: *fox throws dummy* good throw!
😂
Yes ! This is the thing !
More of these! 👏 Makes me feel better about my hard mum days 💗
I really enjoy raw vlogs because it just feels like hanging out with friends
My toddler was literally the exact same way. I stopped giving her reactions and no naps after 2. If she was still up and was saying no to nap we would just skip it and she would go to bed earlier. My kid would become super hyper after taking a bath/shower so I pushed that time earlier to be able to get out the last wiggles before bed. Best of luck, you are doing great!
Agree! Def give it a try
I loved this so much! the whole do I sleep or do I finally spend some time to just exist and chill is such a real dilemma 😅
I love this style vlog. The realness! Makes it relatable and feel like we don’t have to be perfect all the time. 🤍
I appreciate this realistic night time makes me feel so much better about our “routines”. You’re such a patient and sweet mom. You’re doing amazing!
“Did you just throw an apple at the wall?!?” Omg I felt like that’s me and my toddler every day 🤣
Little tip cuz I used to struggle with my girl when she was your son’s age …. Dim lighting is keeeey trust me on this .. when its near sunset or at least 2 hours before bedtime lower the lights in your house and gradually lower it more … it will relax him♥️
You’re an incredible mom, keep at it 💕 love how real this is, thank you!!!
This was the most REAL night time routine I’ve ever seen 😅 and we are all there with yas haha.. refreshing. Big love ❤️
THESE MAKE ME LAUGH SO HARD wow thanks for absolutely making my day. Also loving the realistic vlogs - thank you for being willing to share
Sarah... I can totally relate with the “me time” sabotage block. Totally!! Doing lockdown with ya sis! Can get a bit rough. Hang in there mama.
Please never doubt your ability as a mum, you're doing amazing!! I love all of this realness!!
im 18 years old and I loved watching this! I loved it because it was so real and not structured and fluffy. honestly - based on what my mum does herself, dont beat yourself up for staying up later and snacking and scrolling on your phone before bed. it's normal, and if you have such a busy day and dont get proper time to just "be", maybe it is exactly what you need xx
Fave vlog ever tbh, loved this… and yes, it’s all totally normal. My son is 14 now and barely speaks to me let alone emerges from his room lol… you and Kurt are doing a great job, your great parents and Fox is a lucky boy you have you for his… xx
I absolutely ADORED this vlog. This made my life feel so normal and all the real moments like throwing the apple, throwing the spoon, not wanting to have a shower😂 … it’s my life every 👏🏽day. Thanks for sharing all this 😆🙏🏽
I have never felt more scene as a mom! I loved this video it was 100% real and raw keep them
Coming ❤️
Hi sarah, I've been watching your vlogs for a while and i loved this! very real content, was super comforting and realistic to what being a mom is really like. I dont have kids but I've worked with kids my whole life and now I'm a nurse. Everybody is unpredictable especially toddlers, fox loves both of you and you're doing an amazing job as a mom! you should be so proud of yourself!
Is this bad that watching this makes me secretly so happy - our toddler is exactly the same!!! 😂 It is exhausting, so fun, so much joy but HARD. Our toddler is just as crazy, just as energetic, just as wild, just as destructive 😂
