As a ref you can grab the jersey and pack and gear to check for a hit. To have your hand smacked away? I would have slapped the shit out of him for it. This is someone who was a ref when we had to physically pull arm bands off of pro players.
I don't know Clint at all. I saw it as the ref put his hand up to stop someone aggressively approaching him and Clint kept coming and walked into the hand. In self defense they tell you to put hands up like that. Clint got carried away.
Clint not only threw the round but really threw the match with that one move right there. I get it, its an aggressive sport but you have to keep your cool and not get emotional if you really wanna win
The ref didn't make contact.. he put his hand up to essentially tell clint don't get any closer as clint was yelling and approaching him.. clint is the one that got close enough to where the refs hand was at clints chest.. clint then slaps the refs hand away.. there is no excuse for this and or clints over shooting.. he already hit the guy in the side and back there was no need for the head shot.. he was just being a ass at this point.. overshooting can happen but this was intentional and over aggressive.. not a good look at all..
If you play in the order they happened it think that adds to the context. Diesel were up 2-0, Cyrus gets the run down, puts a couple of extra which was not that much. This gets Fit to 2-1 but the shoulder charge wasn’t much. Both players in that point went to paintball jail. Diesel weren’t happy, so in the next point that’s when Johnson runs down Colt. I’m ok with Johnson getting the drop on Colt and putting a couple more on Colt. However as soon as you lift your marker and shoot for the back of someone’s head that’s a no. That’s definitely intent and was trying to rattle Colts cage. I agree with the penalty, and then it was a brain explosion for getting in the refs space. That resulted in a point reversal of 2-2 and then Fit go on the win that 7-2.
so dumb to let these guys get away with malicious unsportsmanlike conduct and write it off as "part of the game." It takes ONE ball to eliminate him, and sure, it could have hit the hard part of a mask or loader and prompted a spin but that would have still been a no-point. Instead he HAS to put the barrel a few inches from the back of his head and ramp because he's the biggest strongest paintballer? He deserves to lose because he can't just play the fuckin' game like a normal person and wants to be sadistic in his victories. The better TEAM won.
So many things wrong with your opinion. First, Fit started the bonus balling contest. Everyone that eats it after Cyrus’ stunt is a product of Fits conduct. ACs failure was: not getting it done under the radar, just going full blatant. Second, at no point in pro pb history has someone 1 balled a player they went to bunker. if you’re bunkering a player, you’re shooting them 5-10 times. One because bounces are a thing, two because you’re ramping, and three because the more paint and punishment you can dish out without a penalty the more time and energy they’re spending in the pits. That is absolutely part of the game. Snake players routinely eat 10-15 when they go for a trade…From the trade, then from the 2s and 3s laning or making sure you walk off. Fit definitely played the better game, and Clint definitely didn’t play that out intelligently. But Acting like Fit were scholarly gentlemen and just getting beat up on for no reason is silly. Oh and Edit: no one was “getting away with it” the truly blatant acts were a penalized.
It looks to me like the ref is calling Clint out, the ref puts his hand on his head in the same way you would call a player out. When the ref is pulling his flag for the major he is also missing the yellow the flag for the minor, I haven't seen the whole point so I don't know if he threw it earlier in the point but it does look to be slightly to the left of the home bunker. Overall, looks to me like Clint called for overshooting (100% a penalty in this situation), he then starts to argue with the ref, shoving him and then getting the major.
yeah the angle before you can see the ref starting to signal and coming around the start box pointing at Clint as eliminated because of the penalty thrown on him for overshooting. We switch angles to behind the start box and Clint runs into the ref signaling him out, he still has his hand on his head.
Buddys marker was up and stuck against the bunker clint did that intentionally, "pro" player with beginner bs behavior. Glad it cost them the match was a fan of AC but hard to justify being a fan when they pull this bs.
You were a fan but I guess didn’t watch the match, or even this video 🤦♂️ Fit started the bonus balling, and AC got a penalty for “contact” even though it’s pretty obvious it was unintentional and Cyrus made sure he was bumped. Absolutely warranted to get back in and dump paint on Fit, they just needed to be smarter about it. I doubt they were going to beat Fit anyways, but I don’t blame Clint at all for crushing Colt. He got a penalty for it as he should have. Then should have left it at that. In no way is bonus balling beginner behavior 😂 it’s actually more in line with Pro behavior and Fit were doing it all match.
IDK man that was a LOT of bonus balls. I get shit can get exciting and people don't always react immediately but the guy clearly put his hand up and called his hit and he kept shooting him.
I mean, its clear that AC Diesel is desperate to make something out of the expensive roster they have, that actitude wont lead them to a better place... at least they are rude but not good enough to win NXL on Pro Division, many teams are over AC. But this is great for the show.
It unfortunately is part of the game, but seems to be getting g more ‘intentional’. Best way to deal with it is fines or suspensions , and even DQ from tournament.
Why are you defending AC Diesel? They overshot a player in the back of the head, pushed a ref, and shoulder checked a player. Come on man. Not a good take.
What? The “shoulder check” was clearly unintentional. Cyrus started the bonus balling and was trying to draw the contact penalty. He even talks about it in PTG. PBFit started the bonus balling contest, I don’t feel bad for Colt at all. Clint just didn’t play that intelligently and definitely shouldn’t have continued on to contact the ref. That’s literally the only thing that’s indefensible. It wasn’t like Fit was all class either.
