I'm pretty sure KCI was banned because certain lines in that combo required really specific game knowledge for how timing worked for mana abilities, especially in paper it would involve saying the magic words so things would enter the graveyard at the same time and things of that nature. Not really banned because of it's power level but more because of unfun play patterns.
Like with eggs, it requires a long, and complex loop which can be screwed up. Shoot, that was the correct play pattern with eggs, make them play out the loop, and watch most screw up after the first or second loop, due to never having to actually run through the combo before.
Cloudpost is kinda worse though tbh if you think about it, because of it entering tapped while the Tron lands enter untapped. Cloudpost can only get up to 7 mana on turn 3 if it gets exactly Cloudpost into Cloudpost into Glimmerpost, and then it would still have the same amount of mana as tron the next turn unless it got another Glimmerpost. With Tron, you don't care what order the lands come in, just that they come. This is really important for Expo map specifically 'cause there, you can use any 2 tron lands to search for the third, so you have 8 lands of the 60 cards in your deck. To do the same with Cloudpost and actually get a 6-7 mana turn the next turn, you'd need exactly Glimmerpost into Glimmerpost, which is a 4/60 on the first, then a 3/59 on the second, and then you have 2 mana still on turn 3. Cloudpost is just less consistent than Tron in the early turns when it matters more, especially in such a fast format like Modern. I think even in Pauper it'd get rammed to hell, especially 'cause there are more important 2 mana plays for Tron in Pauper (Namely Energy Refractor).
@@airtempest8945 you are not thinking about it. glimmerpost can hard drop emrakuls on t3 with a scapeshift. 7 mana t3 but also 13 on turn 4, while also gaining 7~ life off lands
@@ClubbingSealCubI think it's less what they can do and more the fact that it's really interruptable. Part of Tron's power is in its consistency, but Cloudpost is far less consistent because it cannot afford to be interacted with early on since its lands enter tapped (Cloudpost/Vesuva)/don't make as much mana (Glimmerpost). Tron is far more resiliant to interaction, including land based interaction, because its lands all enter untapped.
@@airtempest8945 no, it isn't, they're just as resilient. Getting sent a turn back in Tron is just as bad as getting sent a turn back in post. They enter untapped sure but you still have to use that mana on your turn to rebuild plus glimmer gets to gain life
Why does the deck play Kuldotha instead of Gleeful Demolition? Gleeful can target enemy artifacts and doesn't screw you out of the artifact when countered. Is it so it can reliably pop the artifacts?

I've been waiting for this one, although i don't like sticker goblin irl, but it makes sense in mol.
Wait I guess this was recorded last month lol I was kinda surprised to see swiftspear

Bc gleeful demolition is uncommon lol

Im tripping tf out why is monastary swiftspear in this deck if its banned? was this filmed that long ago?
Yes, it was recorded a while ago. Also, they should've banned Synthesizer, not Swiftspear.
