(IF YOU WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH, READ THIS COMMENT)
The developers refuse to fix the matchmaking because it's their THING to keep us lower dojos (11 below) engaged to the game. Their fixed ranking system allows new heroes to jump to trophies 500 instantly by winning 3 matches with bots, this allows us to play with real players whose level is lower to higher and the more win streak you have, the next opponents level becomes higher and plays the odds whether you win or not; deducts 10 to 3 trophies depending on your opponents level. Example: your dojo(10) opponents dojo (13 with level 13 hero) then when you lose, it deducts 3~4 trophies, if the opponent's dojo ranges 11 up to 12, it's deductions are 5~10 trophies. And it keeps repeating to match you with either lower or higher level opponents until you reach a new rank. Normally when you win you get 10 trophies but when you fight higher level opponents (u lose) it deducts 3~8 trophies so you get only 2 or 7 trophies, the game minimizes your trophy gain to keep you engaged to the game. Then they tease you with offers that are 50%-80% off so that you'll buy epic-legendary shards and weapons. This makes other players become pay2win to boost their odds of winning. Whilst players who play for free have less win rate because of higher level opponents with clear advantages. When you lose to a higher level opponent, it's not a skill issue since their odds of winning are higher than yours obviously. When they play unwisely you have a chance to defeat them but usually dojo 12-13 players that are ranked 24+ plays seriously so your odds of winning are low af. So the game's rule is to PLAY and WAIT until you get it. Players who play for free will have to go to slower progress other than players who invest REAL MONEY, and players who play for free and have NO CHOICE but to pay by investing more TIME.
