Thanks for updating Ivan, fingers crossed for the peppers.
Thank you too Sheila
Thanks Ivan, terrible weather for June so it's a struggle for growing in pots at ground level but it looks like a lot of your subscribers here have some great ideas. Take care and all the best. Stevie
They sure do Thank you Stevie
Lovely looking pepper plants, I’m sure it will be ok, you got to it just at the right time. I love growing little pepper plants but we don’t like eating them either, we give the peppers away. We had that basket of fire last year & got hundreds of tiny chilli’s off it. Annie
Hope mine does the same Thank you Annie
Like you, I don't like hot peppers. But the plants are so pretty to grow. That Basket of Fire looks like it will be covered in color.
Yes thats what i thought Thank you Connie
A few years we used to call that compost wetlands cause of the poor drainage but seems to be a lot better now tks for vid
Yes finding ok at the moment
Thank you Alan
Basket of Fire. Dry them in the oven, then whizz then into flakes. One plant, I had flakes for 3 years .
Great stuff Thank you
Sweet cherry pie lvan love a hot pepper in a curry 🍒😁
Thank you
You might need to start collecting some crocks for the bottom of your pots! I look for them when I'm walking my dog and pick up a few each time 👍Or some of those little feet that go under the pots to raise them up off the ground. That might help with drainage???👍👍👍
Saw another good tip for pot drainage - use your old washing up sponges in the bottom. Working for me so far.
Thanks for that Kate
Thank you for the info
I grow a few chilli peppers because they fruit so well, (if the weather is right) We freeze some and give most of them away.
Great stuff Thank you
Try making chilli jam you can adjust the amount of heat as you like start of easy if you are not a lover of to much heat Nigella Lawson does a nice easy recipe. is great on toasted cheese. try putting a layer of gavel in the bottom of your pots its a massive help with the drainage
Thank you for the info
I wish we had fish, blood and bone in the US. We can concoct our own, but it would be nice to have it all in one package. I don't know why it's not as popular here as it is in the UK, at least not anywhere I've looked (or at least not from any reputable website).
Hope you find some soon
Thank you
I recommend ring of fire chilli peppers, its a cayenne style of pepper, and pretty hot, but with an amazing flavour 😊
One to try next year
Thank you
It would appear our weather is generally getting wetter so it might be worth thinking about mixing grit or perlite in with your potting compost for plants such as peppers and chilies as it will help with drainage. Hope your chilies recover. I've lost a pepper due to the wet and that was in the ground!
Apparently its best to grow them on a hill
Good idea Thank you Sharon
Thank you Harry
Thanks Ivan
Thank you too
with the hot pepper dry them out and crush them into flakes and you can just sprinkle a bit over your food, not to mention it'll add to the self life
Thanks for the tip
I mix my compost with a good amount of grit. It gives drainage for peppers Ivan.
Aye I've grown chillies for about 10-15 years now, drainage is so important. 3 parts good compost to 1part sharp sand with a bit of perlite is my current method.
Yes will have to start doing that with the Peppers
Thank you Barbara
Much appreciated Thank you Guy
Ivan the Basket Of Fire looks just like my birds eye demon chilies and they are hot hot hot 🥵🌶
Steady away then for me
Thank you Anonet
I have a few minutes before my day begins so it's a good time to see how your caravan. garden is growing.

Lovely job Thank you Joan
I have yellow leaves on my potatoes which are in containers. They maybe too wet so I will move them into my Polytunnel and see if they dry out. Thanks for these updates each day, they are very helpful.
Good idea hope they improve Thank you Mick
