Feels like the dark, dreary, stooty underbelly of the gilded age, and all the bell heads, if not everyone else, feel like ghosts wandering after being severed from their past lives. Makes me want to take an old locomotive and stare out the window filled with longing. and those gowns bring me to tears. marvelous!
Another amazing collection! I love seeing all the brand signatures we've come to know and love taken to an haute couture level. For me the show was a reflection on traveling by train to the seaside. Leaving behind cityscapes for seascapes. I love it ❤.
the opening “bird” with the panne skirt out of a blazer is genius, also was the model Jordon Roth?!?? and the Steve Strange/Visage makeup reference is sublime
I spy with my little eye, a truly iconic collection that places Thom Browne in the firmament of the fashion elite. Vision, narrative, craft, wit, and yes, wearability fused into the very definition of a couture collection. Bravo.
Normally I would dismiss his shows but this shows was different. the word "wearable" is often poison to designers with artistic pretensions BUT This show, outside of the balloon-like coats, were eminently wearable. The coats, the patchwork pieces, the skirt suits, the metallic coats and suits, the jet embellished pieces, even the shoes. This is the one collection I feel was not entirely so out of this world that I could so easily dismiss as overblown fluff.
An average pastice of CDG - I don't understand how people think this guy is in anyway outstanding. You can literally see his references front and centre. Totally unoriginal.
Though you can't help but appreciate the technicality behind the construction and textiles, it's the usual mundane lackluster, regurgitation like his previous collections.
@colinrenfrw48 I suggest that that is the same comment that you make elsewhere to suggest that you know what you're talking about. There's no McQueen here. You're talking out of your ass.

@koros8
How sad and pathetic for you. You just stay with your 10 dollar skinny jeans, sneaker socks and white Nikes.
End of empire
Let them eat cake
I LIVE but it feels vintage Alexander McQueen

Elements of McQueen here……but not as good. The most wearable collection to date.
