"How'd you hurt your hand, Professor? And how are you suddenly striding around the place?" "Bah!! What choice to I have? My wheelchair-pushing-man is dead on the damned floor! Go to hell! You may stay to dinner if you wish!"
Okay 3 things: 1: Nobody found it strange that the wheelchair bound Professor Hammel is now suddenly walking? 2: How did Carter convince his twin brother to help him commit the crimes? 3: I want Gabe and The Wizard for injustice 3!
Given how early this serial is, predating the introduction of most of the Batman rogue's gallery as we know it, somewhere out there in the multiverse is a reality in which the Wizard is Batman's arch nemesis instead of Joker.
The Wizard does look like he WOULD be an intimidating and interesting villain, if he had a better designed costume, and wasn't the professor, (but his assistant's evil twin brother, I guess?) or if Batman's archenemy was Gabe, and only Gabe.
The Professor reminds me of the grocer from The Brute Man. All I hear when he speaks is "creeper, creeper, creeper. You give me the creeps!" and of course "DEAR GOD I HATE YOU!".
Is it just me or did they pull some really nerdy deep cuts in this one? With the references to Death in the Family and accurate pronunciation of Dune names the guys are coming off as way bigger nerds than I credited them for.
@@NKP514 Yeah, but all this is like saying "Bruce Wayne is Batman"; or "Jason Todd is Robin/Nightwing", or something like that... its a red herring...or is it?
One weekend a few years ago, I decided I was going to watch the entire Batman and Robin serial (this one), and the entire 1949 Batman serial. Little did I suspect what I was going to be in for. I watched the entire two serials - every episode - each episode following on the heels of another. Saturday was this one. Sunday was the 1949 one. I was dead tired after finishing this one. I didn’t fare any better with the next one. I was lucky I had any IQ points left after it was all over. These serials have to be two of the most tiring pieces of cinema that I have ever seen. Working out at the gym had always left me tired, but in a good way. These two serials just drained me. I certainly feel sorry for whomever had to edit each episode, given each episode rehashes the previous one, and advances the plot at the proverbial snail’s pace. I would not be a bit surprised some day to read the editor of these serials either had a nervous breakdown, or tried to commit suicide afterwards.
I wish I had realized before I casually clicked on the first one of these that there were *Fifteen* installments! Dadgum UA-cam autoplay. It's not like I have anything to do tomorrow! And there clearly wasn't enough Gabe! Go to Hell! You may stay for dinner if you wish. P.S. It was all worth it for "Tweet tweet, b*tch!" followed by Robin getting nocked on his hinder.
Ha! Nah, just an added touch to the experience. I probably won't be doing them as much though from now on cuz there's often copyright issues with most songs.
"Denby"? "Coily"? They were cheating a little bit here; they can't be referencing riffs from a different series with different characters, especially now that the show's really old! Even at Sci-Fi, they seemed to make a conscious effort not to holler back to Comedy Central riffs.

You get a lot of grass stains with invisibility. You get a lot of clean with Tide.
Call me an unabashed fanboy but the bat signal still gave me chills

I dunno if it’s the same actor or damn close!
I think they spent an entire $1.98 on Batman's costume, and they went over budget.
hey, that's $16.70 in 2021 ;-)

Best callback ever.
Great call back.

"Wait, what was that?"
A record player? Really?
Batman and Robin B-sides.
What I don't get is how did Batman assume Vicky wouldn't ask any questions over the phone.
So weak!
Vicki Vail is tied up in her car and Batman tells her to not go away.

It took Batman 20 episodes to realize the super villain was hiding in the batcave
True since both the Batcave and the Wizard's hideout are actually the set.
The music playing at 9:29 - 9:34 sorta reminds me of paranoia by KENTENSHI
Wtf was that total recall song lol
Wait? Was the professor not the wizard? I think the makers of this thing lost track of their own plot.
Nope. The professor's butler's identical-twin brother was. (Seriously.)

Good, that will give Robin more time.

This serial is like if you took every stupid element of The Adventures of Superman, and removed everything that made that series awesome.

The "Batmobile's" radio can't be set to Christen Rock cause Batman hates Rock and Roll.
