Hi Frenchy, that thing in the field is not a restaurant,but a 'Meji' which is usually made during the time of Magh Bihu, a festival of Assam. the structure is not actually like this, people tried to give some stylish look in that, therefore remained unburnt.. usually mejis are burnt during the festival as people believe that evey negative energy, things burns along with it.

According to original custom meji is made and people stay whole night as protector of that meji by making a bhelaghor beside.but in some places only meji is made whereas in other there is only bhelaghor..may be due to lack of raw material or something else.

That fancy haystack is a *Bhelaghor* , it's built during Magh/Bhogali Bihu festival in January. It's a harvesting festival celebrated in Assam. If you stay in Assam till April, you will see another Bihu festival called Bohag/Rongali Bihu. The third Bihu is celebrated in October-November called as Kati/Kongali Bihu.

Hi Frenchy, when you're asking someone if it is okay to come inside, the Hindi for that is "Andar theek hai?" Which literally translates to "inside okay?". Andar(inside) is spoken exactly like 'under' but i with a soft 'd' noise coming from the front of your mouth (where your tongue touches the back of your teeth) instead. There's a more formal way to ask can I come inside, but this works in your situation. As a bonus, you can apply Chalo chale here - "Andar chale?" asks the question: let's go inside?

And bomdila has a place called guru Rinpoche statue top on the mount from where you have three sixty views but for that place you have to hike 30 to 40 minutes from the town.
