@@JP-wh8bo They are singing in korean, but nowadays kpop idols tend to release full english songs/albums. There's also a lot of english words or full sentences in kpop songs 🙂 In that song there's the whole pre-chorus part from 0:30 to 0:50 in english tho and english words here and there throughout the song ! Nearly 3 months later... this performance turned me into a stay after 10+ years without kpop (I was a shinee/big bang fan since 2009). Thanks skz, for getting me out of the most horrendous sadness I have ever experienced in my life, even at my age in my 30's.

I will always be proud that they went to an American award show representing Kpop and performed a KOREAN SONG. Stray Kids have never changed themselves or their music for others. Despite all the hate they receive for 'noise' music, they still keep doing what they like since they absolutely love and are proud of their own art ❤

It was an awesome performance. They weren’t the first and won’t be the last to perform an entirely Korean song. BTS did DNA on the AMAs in 2018 and brought down the house. Even though I don’t know Korean, I love K-POP and it was because of BTS’ song Butter that started it all. I loved it, but my favorite song of theirs is one of the earliest, Fire, and it too is Korean with a few English words. Proving that music is a universal language. I’m so excited to see more KPOP artists being featured on awards shows.

These guys are a whole package and have one of the widest and versatile discography of Kpop. This is only 1 tiny portion of Stray Kids, their huge self produced discography is EVERYTHING. Like Channie said. For a lot of us their music came to us when we really needed it and helped us a lot or even for some of us saved our life. Their honesty is a huge, huge part of it. Not just how much they shine and win. Some of their darkest songs are their best.

I'm laughing because somehow I became aware of this group and now I'm a fan. If you look at my playlists you'll see that I'm not into K-Pop or really any current pop music. I am into fashion though, and photos/videos of Felix and Hyunjin at the European fashion weeks intrigued me. Now I'm watching Stray Kids videos and I'm impressed. Still not really my kind of music but these guys are all very talented, hard-working, stylish, and gorgeous. The VMA performance was powerful, I especially love the segment starting at 1:09 with the aggressive running-man dancing, the graphics on the stage, and the camera work mimicking cell phone video. I can totally understand why this group has built up such a huge fan base.
I always return to this performance! It's pure adrenaline to the heart!
The fact they could have just done the regular recording of S-Class but instead created this brand new version and slayed the entire performance just goes to show why Stray Kids are the absolute best!

it's been five months and people are still having that english vs korean debate in the comments. for the love of god, kpop itself isn't a "genre", it's literally any music sung in the korean language. there are plenty of other genres that are within the music such as pop, hip-hop, etc. stray kids are a KPOP GROUP. if they want to perform at the vmas with a KOREAN SONG, it's entirely their right to! nobody's saying there's an issue with singing in english, stays are just commending the boys for sticking to their native language despite how stigmatized kpop is in the western music industry. none of it was shade towards other groups. can't we just drop this and enjoy their incredible success both performance and awards? 2023 was HUGE for them!

Stray Kids made a statement here on an American music award show. The lyrics to S Class explain it too! *"Shining people, that's our intro, we're special yeah"*, *"being on stage, that itself is special already"* and *"we don't need an audience for the festival".* I love how they aren't trynna appease certain audiences who know nothing about Kpop. They rather let their music speak for itself. I love that about Stray Kids.
I'm not a kpop fan but I have to admit that they slay and are extremely talented. They're very skilled dancers bc the choreo is perfectly on sync and perfectly executed. They're also confirmed rappers bc no way they could rap as good live without a professional rap background. The vocals and visuals were very pleasing too. They got something here, they're definitely above the average level and could easily get even bigger
They write and produce everything themselves too! Three of them are the main writer who come up with lyrics, beats everything! I‘ve been a fan for over three years now and they always keep their original vibe but every album has a new twist to it! If you enjoy their raps I think you should check out Domino! They have four rappers and each one sounds so different on this track but together it harmonizes so well!

Hi! Thanks for appreciating Stray Kids and for what they do! They have a unique sound that very few artists have these days. In fact, they have their own genre of music called the *mixed taste or mala genre*. They incorporate so many elements from different genres (like hip hop, boombap, trap, EDM, dubstep, rock, punk-rock and even ballad or acoustic) into one song. They also have songs based on a particular genre which, over years, has become a part of their vast discography...and it's upto the audience, or us Stays, to decide which ones we prefer. It's like they are offering up a menu full of options and we can select for ourselves, that's how "Gods' menu" also comes into play here. Plus although all 8 members can rap, dance and sing as well as write their own songs, they have subunits.
