As a recently bald young(ish) guy I am loving this channel. This vid in particular really made me laugh out loud at all the ways I used to cope. I'm glad I never took it as far as a hair 'system' but did the perma-hat and side-part cover up for sure!
The key worry is: will women still find me attractive? YES they will. When I had long hair women laughed at me, when I went bald and shaved it, women smiled at me. That's the difference. Women hate vanity and insecurity in a man. SHAVE IT ALL OFF NOW.
I came across your channel two days ago, and have been watching many of your videos. They have been slowly helping me open my eyes to how I have just been denying my hair loss. However, it was this video that really opened my eyes to it. Identifying myself as number 3.) and 4.) from this video have helped me gain the confidence to just shave my head and finally embrace my hair loss. I have grown out my hair quite long and I think I will finally shave it all off later today. Thank you for your channel and spread of positivity.
I’m 19 and decided to shave my head. I first noticed when I went to get a haircut at 16 and the barber said “uh oh, that’s a high hairline” eventually as I started to get a mature hairline it went back, to a point where I started getting friends telling me how bad that shit was.
Its the same for me my hairline from the corners is going far back and my friends and family are also telling me about it. I haven't shaved because my father is saying not to, he is already bald. I don't know what to do.
1,2 and 3 for me! When I was 16-18 I used to grow my fringe and sides out really long in attempt to cover up my hairline (it wasn't receding at this point but I have always had a high hairline). I used to HATE the wind, but couldn't avoid it. It would mess my hair up completely. Then at 18, I had enough of the long hair as it was a nightmare to maintain and harder to style. I decided to get it cut short on the sides and I grew out a short fringe. I began to use hair gel, I would get a big clump of it and would style my fringe to one side and try spike it up on top a bit. Again this was in attempt to try to cover up my hairline, I would style it perfectly so that there were no gaps in my fringe. But as I used so much product, it made it look worse haha. My barber would comment that I was using too much product, eventually I listened, so then I kept the same sort of style, minus the large amount of product. At this point I discovered hair spray, perfect I thought, this will keep my fringe together at all times. It did help, but I had a tendency to use too much again. I also became obsessed with combing my hair, making sure no hairs were out of place. If a single hair was out of place, i would stress out! I would carry my comb everywhere with me. Between the ages of 22-25 I grew my fringe out again, it was really long at times, sometimes it would come down to my eyebrows. But i used to keep it very short at the sides. I used to spend ages styling it making sure there were no hairs out of place, but again, the outside elements had other plans. It got to a point where it was getting ridiculous, i remember spending over an hour getting ready for a night out obsessing over getting my hair perfect. At the start of 2017 I remember that I had enough. I said to my barber to cut it short. So i had a zero on the sides and very short on top, but still somewhat of a fringe, that was styled straight across, it looked a lot better and was easier to maintain. I would ask to keep some growth around the temples however, as it was slightly receding at this point. For the next 3 years I stuck with this style, it looked better than my previous styles. From a front on view, I could not notice any recession, but when I put my head down you could see the slight recession (like a U shape), I felt self conscious of this. I finally decided (about a month ago) to shave my head bald, I'm so glad I have done it. I feel free after all the years of worrying about my hair! My level of recession isn't too drastic, it is definitely receded at bit at the temples, my dad and brother have similar hairlines. I don't think it is going to get much worse than it is now based on my family history and the fact that it's been like this for a few years now and hasn't got worse. I only came across this channel yesterday and I enjoy the content. Keep it up!
History will remember you for inspiring, motivating and donating confidence to all the baldies, those who are balding and future baldies.Hat's off to you big brother.Even though I m not bald but hats off to you.😎what you are doing is impeccably great and no less than any social work😊😇.Love from India.
I've done the hair styling I was thinning a lot on top and if I combed it over it was okay as long as my hair wasn't wet or anything and as it got worse I bought a bunch of hats but I took the plunge and shaved it off and it feels so much better. No more anxiety
Your videos are very therapeutical. I used to be ashamed of balding and I never liked my hairline since I remember. A few months ago I decided to I was not prepared to be bald and went out seeking a hair transplant clinic. A few weeks prior to the date of the transplant I decided not to remain hostage of my bad hair situation and I dyed that shit of it and shaved it with a razor blade. Never felt so good! With my hair had gone so did my worries about all around it. If the wind blows, will people see the bald spots, searching for vitamins and supplements... I got more confident and accepted that balding is actually manly and part of the process of getting older. I still went through with the tranplant because I had already booked it. But if I had seen your videos months ago I would have never done it. I am not afraid anymore.
I was afraid to go out when it was windy, i had my hair fixed and i had so much hair spray just to keep my spot from showing, i was crazy with worry. Looking back now i laugh but at the time it seemed so important.
In uni there was a senior I had a crush on, he had the emo hair cut and style and he ALWAYS wore a beanie, no matter how hot it was. I always thought it was a style choice. But it turns out he had a complete bald spot in the top of his head. Poor dude looked so weird with an emo haircut and bald spot.
I am n.3 stage bold and I’ve been using n.5 method to hide it for a couple of years now. I am about to shave it all off thanks to your vids. Cheers mate 👍🏻💪🏻
Good video Mate. I personally have been doing the fresh DooRag look. Yes, nice silk, all-black Doo Rags. I love it because it keeps my hair clean when I do go out, which means less time washing my hair. When I do have to show up to a rare meeting or gathering; I just use the temporary, hypoallergenic black dye; which blends perfectly into the thinning patch of hair that I have in the middle of my forehead. The Doo Rag keeps my hair nice and flat, so I can take it off right when I show up to my meetings and my hair looks full, dark, compressed and wavy. Plus when I shave, the Doo Rag makes me look much younger. My second option is number 10, just stay inside, because I work from home.
I'm now thinning badly at the crown, but I'm 53 so quite relaxed about it. Given that I've always had my hair quite long, my only real worry about the head shave is having a cold head. Is a post shave cold head likely? I'm waiting till the weather warms up.
You forgot to mention micropigmentation procedure, i thought about getting that myself, until i shaved my head and Faced my worries, and now im rockig that bald look
What do you recommend those that have ugly shaped bald heads covered in skin tags too expensive to remove? The hair powder actually sticks very good, when your hair is wet people expect it to part.
I was the "Toppik" guy. Used it for a while and it worked well but I was always worried about having to reapply it during the day. I was always checking to see if it came off or i accidently scratch my head and it be all over my hands. I gave up.
Yh I tried that stuff and initially it gives you a massive confidence boost, but then you become reliant on the stuff........and I swear that stuff eats away your hair faster lol it's either that or you at least think it does going from what appears to be a great head of hair to reality again
This channel is great. I’m super vein about my looks and always had great hair - never thought balding would happen to me. This video is so true. It’s emotionally devastating to go bald for some and I went into hiding like Owen Wilson in the movie Zoolander 2. Shaved it off and I straight up looked like a criminal, so now just buzzing it which is great because I’m lazy anyway.
I'm number 1 and number 2 but I shaved my head because of frustrating of hairfall now I'm extremely bold and confident with my look which i achieved now
Unfortunately I am one of this guys at the moment. Basically I am wearing cap all the time (at the office and when I go out). Slowly thinking about shaving my head.
I used special hair cuts, special hair styles. Tried minoxidil for a bit but didn’t work really and was super annoying. My last grasp at hair was to use the hair fibres. They worked well until your in bed with a lady and she starts trying to play with your hair lol. I didn’t even realize how much I thought about my thinning hair until the other day when I shaved it all off. It’s been a very strange experience with the reactions that I’ve received. A couple people have teased me a bit which is fun. Mostly positive feedback though.
I have a full head of hair (for now). My dad is bald af. My grandfathers and uncles from both sides mostly have a full head of hair. So Im most likely safe. Who knows though. Anything can happen.. But I shaved my head in February completely bald. And honestly I don't mind it. It looked really good on me. So if I lose hair at any point in my life I don't have anything to worry about and I can rock being bald.
Done many of these. The photo one I just had to break since I did shave my head and had to take photos for the renewal of my passport and driver's license. Have not received them yet, so I'm a bit apprehensive...
I'm 32, been balding since 19...and I cover it dermmatch and nanogen. It's pretty pathetic, and I admire the guys who just own it...I'll join you one day, but not ready yet.
Ben hoffman has never been seen without a hat. He manage to get a tv show on Comedy Central and did all the episodes with the hat on. Now as wheeler walker he never takes his hat off either.
Hello, Nice video! I might be number 3 and have a frange a bit longer than the rest (my hair are half long and are receding a bit on the side) and for now I do not think it looks bad at all. Since you did not talk about the negative aspects about that point, what is wrong for you with this except the wind?
Man if you said you think it looks good and you are happy with it then there is nothing wrong at all. It only becomes a problem if you are always worrying about it and fussing about it to really try and hide the fact that you are balding. If you are rocking it with pride and satisfaction then all the power to you man!
@@JJ1350- nah its a myth, there receptor are just sensitive to dht other wise there testesterone levels are normal, but oxymoroly yeah most bald men have awesome and full beards
I really can’t take this decision , what if I look bad with completely baldness? Do you guarantee the remaining hair would grow back after take it off?
im on the minoxidil and topical finasteride for months now, hair is coming back (i was not completely bald just reciding hairline) i mean we can argue those treatmens suck, its not the cure for baldness, blah, blah, but if there is option for me to keep my hair and even regrow it at my 20's i'd give it a shot. i can always be bald if everything else fails, but i think its worth a shot.
I'm not sure if i agree that shaving your head is always the way to go. Its an option but not always the best. Every person is different and a different treatment could be right for them. For you shaving your head is the best option but not for everyone.
Jesse Piazza That makes no sense, it’s like saying by getting a haircut you’re hiding how your hair really looks, because when you get a haircut that’s not how it looks naturally by your definition you’re “hiding it”. You get a haircut because you feel it makes your hair look good and neater right? Same for shaving your head, it’s a liberating experience and a form of styling and doing what looks best with the type of hair growth you have. I’m growing my hair long again cause of the virus but I’m starting to want to buzz it again. You seem to be trying to shame a man for being bald by saying he’s hiding his baldness. Most would say he’s taking control of it by not hiding it, he’s bald completely bald now. I’m almost 100 % certain you don’t have the balls to go full bald. I mean it’s the internet so you can probably say you have with no proof but that’s the way it works. Personally you sound like either a child or someone with really low self esteem.
Jesse Piazza you can think that all you want but not the way I see it. Again it’s like people are hiding bad messy hair by getting a haircut. Shaving your head is not hiding anything it’s putting all out on display that you are in fact bald. Shaving one’s head is seen by most people as very drastic and gutsy thing to do. Most don’t have the balls to do it. When you are balding you are losing your hair, usually in a way that most “haircuts” styles will look bad or strange. All these solutions he brings up are ways of denying it, camouflaging it or indeed hiding it. Shaving everything is no way hiding it, most people see it as a vulnerable thing at first that’s why most are not willing to do it.
This was a fun video actually I did several of those things to mask my balding not necessarily from other people so much as from myself I spent 30 years in denial and trying to wait on a cure I never tried anything I did wear a hair system for Year everyone thought it was mine they look great but I got to the point where I just had to own this thing that was such a burden for so many decades and I'm happy I look good with a shaved head and is what it is. I was never ashamed this is so at least I didn't think I was but the truth is I did wear a very short haircut I shaved sides and close on toh top in the US military would be a Marine Corps high and tight. Are you and a half ago went to a very good hair system these are not your grandpa's toupees my hair stylist that I hadn't seen in a few months thought I had been able to grow my hair back she said I can always spot a fake but she couldn't spot mine solar systems are a reasonable option if you just can't deal with your hair loss for whatever reason. and I avoided photographs I didn't even realize so much wine was avoiding them that's a saving my head I've realized that I did the hairstyles I-40 photographs I thought about transplants and cures lease on a daily basis not all day and if I could tell anyone anything from my experience it would be you know if you're young you don't have to shave it but buzz it down to a nogard don't be embarrassed don't be ashamed I lost so many opportunities up photographs with my children of really good times and I don't have them to look back on all because of my vanity please just you know you're going to look fine with a shaved head the truth is I'm 55 it was hard for me to shave my head for I've been shaving for 2 months now and the fact is I have more hair on my head then I don't have, so I don't even use the word bald. I shave my head it's a hair stylist a hair style of my choosing, so make it your choice own it and take control of your life and if you want to wear hair system that's cool too, but ware with the confidence in knowing that if you decide to stop wearing it you're going to be okay. I stopped wearing the hair system because of the time and effort it took to maintain it properly depending on what you do for work if you perspire a lot the glue's don't hold as well for as long so there are some disadvantages to a hair system, however, most of them can be negated. sorry for the long post but this is really important to me. the time we have on this planet is actually very short so don't waste your time on something as inconsequential as hair. Best regards to all, Ty
But you said at 5:16 in the video something like "you would try a hairsystem". Kinda confuses me, because youre a proud bald fella lol. And i think a realistic good head tattoo is the ultimate key. It lasts your whole life long, and you basically just have to shave. Its just the illusion of having hairstubbles, and you are still bald. Because now baldcafe, your shaved head looks awesome because you have a fine hairline. And still have hair. What if you were completely bald? I definitely prefer the "buzz cut“ look over the completely bald on top look. It looks like something is missing on the head to me..
Meaning I will try it for the sake of the channel and just to see how it look and how practical they are. I can't really say they suck if I haven't actually tried it.
Sober JokR i dont think it will ever disappear completely. I hope my smp in the furure looks like i want. I want it as light as possible..dont wanna look like those disgusting freaks with tattoos on their head..like i said the lightest smp possible
I remember, growing up in the 60's and 70's the number of guys who had a comb over. They were always the subject of much amusement, usually behind people's backs. Not a good look.....especially on windy days! 😉
aldo alonzo I feel like shaving your head isn’t so much hiding from it but rather accepting it. Some might say just wearing receding or thin hair would be truly accepting it but that would just be handicapping yourself more than is necessary.
@@Baldcafe I would say both can be equally accepting and everyone should just wear their remaining hair like they want. But shaving completely definately isn´t hiding. Everyone knows why you do it, it just looks better to most people and it is a way of taking back control.
Please do Luimarco and Bradley Martyn they both suffer from bald shane and they won’t take their hats off Rumor has it Luimarco went to a wedding with a hat lol
Well you move the hair from the back of your head to the places where you want more therefore covering up your balding. If it wasn’t a cover up of the balding what would be the point in getting one?
Me at the beach: Nothing to see here everyone, just a usual guy wearing a hat, nothing strange Me at night: * still wearing the hat My friends: why are you still wearing the hat, the sun's has gone down Me: Oh! I just love this style, idk what are you talking about 😎😂
There is a cure for hair loss, you just made a lot of subs promoting shaving a head, but not everyone has a head that looks good when shaved, you got to count that in also.
Been shaving my head for a year now, bald is better than balding.
Nailed it right there man, Bald is 1000 times better than Balding. Especially when the balding is destroying your confidence!
Dude looks better with a shorter beard. I know he has that longer beard now but the short looks better
Yeah it looks much cleaner in my opinion

I swear I'm going through the first one and the hat situation right now😩
Avoid the hats man, Thats such an easy habit to get into and it ends up being a massive safety blanket for balding guys.
I crack up hearing you say HAIR! Lol
Hello,
Nice video!
1 2 and 3 here .. might be time for me to go bold
Time to embrace it my man 👍
Baldcafe i finally did it! you inspired me to do so! thank you so much! feels amazing
5:13 Noooo! Don't look into it later man- stay the way you are! (hope i havnt misinterpreted what you just said)
I think he just wanted to get more information about it so he could talk with us about it.
One of my aunts once told me it seemed i had cancer because of being bald at 21
That hurts, I'm balding since I was 22 years old
@@henry12h best solution is to shave it
gonna hide under a hat until i'm old enough to get a beard, as is the curse of balding at 21
Balding, turning 21 next month but I've got a steady beard going. Best of luck dude
Bro i am balding at 16
That’s weird because most people that are going bald have a lot of testosterone which fills in the beard.
@@JJ1350- nah its a myth, there receptor are just sensitive to dht other wise there testesterone levels are normal, but oxymoroly yeah most bald men have awesome and full beards
@@akshat6007 same
I am the number 10 one,, my parents are really worried
I really can’t take this decision , what if I look bad with completely baldness? Do you guarantee the remaining hair would grow back after take it off?
Well it’s a decision you’ll have to weigh up for yourself. What do you have to lose? What do you have to gain?
This is true
im on the minoxidil and topical finasteride for months now, hair is coming back (i was not completely bald just reciding hairline) i mean we can argue those treatmens suck, its not the cure for baldness, blah, blah, but if there is option for me to keep my hair and even regrow it at my 20's i'd give it a shot. i can always be bald if everything else fails, but i think its worth a shot.
yeah man if it makes you more comfortable to keep hold of it then go for it 👍
Sunset how are u now bro?
Sunset Did you get any side effects from topical finasteride?
@@bronzantilium7699 no, andlast month i swtched to oral, 0.5 mg everyday and minoxidil foam one per day. hair looking amazing
I'm not sure if i agree that shaving your head is always the way to go. Its an option but not always the best. Every person is different and a different treatment could be right for them. For you shaving your head is the best option but not for everyone.
Comb over is best
Surprised you didn’t mention SMP Scalp Micro Pigmentation
IT is so dumb IT should be forgotten.
11) Shaving their head down to the grain.
this. shaving it is trying to cover it up also.
It’s more about embracing it than hiding it. You’re not balding anymore you are the end product, you are bald.
4 & 10 here
Be free man!
Point 11 : Scalp Micropigmentation. Basically they shave their head and tattoo their scalp.
I'm nearly 50 and still have all my hair...if I was balding I'd shave it all off...I shaved it all off for years...baldness suits you fella
It’s pretty easy to hid a hairline that’s receding from the corners but heavy thinning on the other hand is nearly impossible to hid.
What about SMP 😉
is a "hair system" the same as a toupee?
Yes
Wow, very interesting story... stay strong
Sorry for all of those awful typos, thanks for taking the to reply.
Thank you for sharing your story
I pretty much shower in my hat
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Number 11 should be denial. Definitely been guilty of that.
I'm wearing caps and beanies but not to hide (well just a bit actually), but because the weather can be a bitch where I live !
Just shave it all off let it go
But what if you'd prefer not to be bald?
@@666tiger7 Just shave it bro! lol
SpicyMeat Entertainment I’m sure everyone would rather keep their hair but the main point is accepting it and owning it.
I tried all of them 😂
Bowled?
Why does he keep saying "Bold"?
It's the accent. "bald"
He says bald, but in a more bold accent!
He's English. He's saying it the right way. They did invent the language after all lol
pictures wouldve been helpful tho.

18 and currently doing 1-4 HAHAHAHA
if you dont want to hide your baldness SHAVE your face then , how would you look like? Ye i thought so. There are people who dont have facial hair
Check my latest vids babe
Bold?
What if you're ugly af bald?? I have big ass ears and nose
Wouldn't shaving your head be the 11th way men try to cover up there baldness?
It’s more like embracing being bald. There’s nothing left to hide when you get rid of that crap haha.
5:16 you wouldnt use it atm, but would think about it?
I would never wear bs like that. Prefer a micro pigmentation
In my position now I would consider it no. I would listen to someone talk about smp but I would probably never get it done.
Barry Ramírez not life long actually. Cuze you don’t want a real tattoo, you want micro pigmentation which last 4 to 5 years
Sober JokR i dont think it will ever disappear completely.
Me: Wearing hat, no photos and never go out in public
I'm number 9
Everything is so right!!! Shave shave shave!!!!!!
I can't go outside so I'm so depressing
I wore a hat for like 8 years 😭
Been wearing one for 5 years. :( Kinda ready to bite the bullet
@@Gonzalez1578 do it, after a day or two I was past any awkward feelings. ✌🏻
Number 11: Shaving your head
aldo alonzo I feel like shaving your head isn’t so much hiding from it but rather accepting it.
😂😂 you are going to hell
No way man grow up that not 11 you sound childish
Please do Luimarco and Bradley Martyn they both suffer from bald shane and they won’t take their hats off
Rumor has it Luimarco went to a wedding with a hat lol
Am not balding just watching
99.9% of hair transplant works bro, and it’s not a cover up as you get hair again, your own hair. Do your research
Well you move the hair from the back of your head to the places where you want more therefore covering up your balding. If it wasn’t a cover up of the balding what would be the point in getting one?
Me at the beach: Nothing to see here everyone, just a usual guy wearing a hat, nothing strange
Me at night: * still wearing the hat
My friends: why are you still wearing the hat, the sun's has gone down
Me: Oh! I just love this style, idk what are you talking about 😎😂
You see loads of fit women with bald guys so the women that are put off by it ain’t the women for you.
Number 11: S M P. Scalp Micropigmentation.
There is a cure for hair loss, you just made a lot of subs promoting shaving a head, but not everyone has a head that looks good when shaved, you got to count that in also.
There is no cure because it is not a disease
Agreed, but it can be stopped and even reversed.
