Ricky, the problem with the church including servants of God, is lack of knowledge, why, because people of God do not make time to read the word!!! They have Bibles but they never ever read them at home, they have become religious, hearing the word only at church on Sunday, and relying on the pastors or televangelists to tell them what it says!!! They are not like the Bereans who went away and checked for themselves whether what Paul said was true or not!!! That's why in my ministry I make members to read the Bible themselves and I give them scriptures to read, and I ask them the next Sunday about what they read. You can't take for granted that people will read the Bible, you must ensure that they do as a pastor or teacher of the word, by the way, you teach disciples of Jesus the word, and you preach to unbelievers. You need to grow and ground them deep in the doctrines of the gospel, so they won't be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine as Paul rightly said!
