Naruto Blazing was also a big time gacha game but ended up kicking the bucket a few years ago, ever since PVP dropped it went downhill and its a shame too. Dokkan, OP treasure cruise, blazing and brave souls were the OGs.

It's easy to forget by Dokkan can use filler stuff, Vegeta used Gamma burst flash to knock his baseball into Yamcha's bat during the U6 and U7 baseball match, they used that animation for the blue form for AGL Blue Vegeta that transforms into evolution, then they took the final part of the blast and gave it to the Vegeta and trunks card.
Dokkan always does sneaky things with super attack animations, they actually changed Ultimate Gohan's Kamehameha from blue to Orange so it looked like a generic Ki blast since when TEQ Ultimate Gohan released the Kamehameha team would be too strong if it kept getting buffed, same with future Gohan, they just treat "one handed kamehameha" like a generic ki blast so they didn't have to put future Gohan on AGL Gohan's team which everyone would use all day everyday and the devs really wanted people to summon for new characters so they can make money lol

The reason why some animations are better is because they are for big celebrations like anniversary, the worldwide celebration, and tanabanna/chrismas.

SSJ4 Gogetas 18 Ki isn’t from Fighterz, it borrows more from Legends. His Active Skill is mostly unique to him, the most we can say is that there may be vague Fighterz inspiration with Goku and Vegeta showing up but even then Dokkan does it completely differently.

Okay... So... Here's a comprehensive list of stuff since it seems you don't quite get it enough to explain to your friend...
Some units just have super attacks.
Some units have transformations.
Some transformations are active skills, and depending on the unit, you might not want to transform them right away. But if it's not an active, then it occurs on conditions and can't be chosen when it activates. It just activates by itself, unless it's an active skill.
Active skills are like ultimate's of sorts. Some are just something they do to boost their stats like a scene from the anime or an original scene. Videl has one, where she changes from her longer hair to short, and gets a stat boost. Some actives are super attacks. And, like I said, some are transformations, and they can also have multiple in one unit, like how the recent PHY LR Gogeta has his transformation, and his transformed form has its own active skill, which is a move where he kicks the guy to cause damage, then taunts him to have all the attacks in that turn come at him and evade 100% of them. Actives, and most transformations, only can be used once in any battle, so save it for the end.
And then there's the few units that have standby skills, which is like an active, but you pull down, and typically, a unit will either go into a special status, or exchange with someone, so that you can build up energy. Take for example the LR PHY SS3 Goku and SS2 Vegeta. A single card featuring Goku and Vegeta when they fight Kid Buu. You pull down, and it changes into just Vegeta, who, with enough bubbles popped for him, will tank almost anything. He can't attack. But after enough bubble popping, or Ki spheres obtained, you get to activate the final part of the standby, which, depending on how much bubbles you pop, you get a lesser version, or the full version, of the Spirit Bomb that killed Kid Buu. Or, you have units like the TEQ Goku who's based on Goku when he fought Piccolo in the world tournament in Dragon Ball. He doesn't exchange, but does tank better IIRC, and his final stage is just him attacking the enemy with the headbutt that did in Piccolo in the tournament.
Each active and Standby skill, will have 1 to 2 ost's that come with it usually, depending on how many actives or standby skills there are in a single unit. Sometimes it has 1 active, like the old 4th year anniversary LR's SS4 Goku or SS4 Vegeta, so only 1 new OST (Goku didn't get one but Vegeta did, since it was the first ever active skills besides LR Bee Pan). And, in the case of LR TEQ Vegito Blue and STR LR Gogeta Blue from the 5th year anniversary, they came out with NO ost's for them, until the 8th year anniversary came along with their EZA's and updates them. EZA stands for Extreme Z Awakening. Given usually to old featured summonable units called Dokkan Fest units, which would be the typical equivalent to a 5 star in a gacha game. It brings them back up in the meta, and far more viable at the time. Some EZA's are given to what's called banner units. Banner units are like a new unit released alongside the new main featured dokkan fest unit, with a worse version of the same leader skill. And other EZA's are given to free to play units. Sometimes old, but most of the time, new F2P units are released either getting their EZA in the celebration or event right away, or their released with the knowledge that they will in the future get their EZA.
Also they have super EZA's now to make older units that already got their EZA's years ago better now. AGL SS3 dragon fist Goku went from a 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 attack stat on Super attack, to a 10 to 20,000,000 or something.
So yeah, there's a lot of rarities in the game... Like, used to be 8 technically, now 9. The level of the first rarity can go up to a max of 20. Each new rarity adds 20 more levels, technically.
N: Normal
R: Rare
SR: Super Rare
SSR: Super Super Rare
UR: Ultra Rare or Uber Rare
TUR: The T stands for transcended or transcendent, so just combine one of those two words with the UR title.
EZA: So a TUR that's been Extreme Z Awakened and can go up to level 140. This was released AFTER LR, so that's why it's only 10 levels lower.
Super EZA: Self explanatory, but they only add new skills into the passive, rather than adding more levels of base stat changes. Released After EZA and LR. So they changed up a lot of how they handle this stuff, rather than adding more numbers to the base stats and levels.
LR: Max rarity. Stands for Legendary Rare. Max level is 150, and all LR's have 2 Super attacks, based on the Ki they can get, or rather, in a Dokkan "Loves To Hate" fashion, the amount of bubbles you pop. All units besides LR have a max of 12 Ki/bubbles they can collect in order to pull off a super attack. LR's have a max of 24 Ki. It only takes 18 Ki to get the second super, but IIRC, collecting more does get a bit of a bigger attack stat. Some LR's also get benefits from having their MAX 24 Ki. Like how LR Kaioken Blue Goku and Vegeta Blue Evolution (A single unit featuring 2) get to guarantee that all their attacks crit in that one turn if they have max Ki. So very beneficial in some cases, and in others, a pointless thing to worry about.

All of the movies are canon,. But not to our timeline, they’re a different timeline/ universe. Even Dragon Ball Heroes
All the movies aren't written by Toriyama so they're not canon. SDBH is also not written by him therefore not canon.
