We have a lot of the same gear. I don't have the shotgun mic on the camera or any boom pole with mic. It is nice to see you being so resourceful. You must also feel lucky to have a patient hardworking crew also!
You all taught me something. You really showed me how to use the boom mic. I think visually you all should have exposed for the sky rather than the skin. It left the sky a bit overexposed.
Exposing for the sky is a bad idea in this sense since we don't have artificial light and the heat footage is also 8 bit. That's what informed that choice
It's always a pleasure having you around Doreen. You are an integral part of my success story and I will definitely surprise you someday. You are one in a million kind of a supporter. The World needs more people like you. Happy new year
Thanks for this wonderful video but how will you be able to check the sound when you are recording it with the camera. As the guy was using earpiece to check the speed please who will it be? Thanks
If you want to plug it directly to a camera, then, the camera should have a monitoring port were you can plug ear phones if not, it's better you use a recorder which will offer you that opportunity to monitor the audio while recording
@@africaamaze Thank you very much. Your contents on UA-cam has helped me Alot as am getting set to shoot my first UA-cam video. I will love to talk to you for guidance. Email will be appreciated.
Nice video... For the wide shot with the actor walking on the concrete could you have had the boom operator record the footsteps separately and edited the footsteps in post? It should work as long as the actor walks at the same speed in both takes.
I learn alot from this chanel as i am a beginner, pls, tell me "Some of parts of dialogue are must be out of final video as actors can't repeat the same thing in all shots or are they not repeating the whole dialogue??????
Great job, just one question. Since you recorded three different angles, including audio in all of them, which of those three audio files did you use or did you cut all the audios corresponding to each recorded scene?
Each audio is synced with it's corresponding shot. Once the audio is embedded in each of the videos, the videos are now brought to the timeline as a whole and little pieces are cut out from them to form the complete scene
@@africaamaze thought I was a bad guy before hey!🦹♂️HE!HE!HE! 😂 understanding my brother ❤️✌️only peace and hope👌 a little about me brother and your subs can know who I am! A “Black cloud” has been over before I born
UA-cam audio library is my free option for music. It's also the safest. However, I also have some one time paid sounds from Evanto elements. Finally, I also used sounds composed by my own sound engineer.
If the light on the mic shows, it means you might have to get an adapter because the phone doesn't recognize it as a mic. If you check your regular ear piece you will realize the number of lines on the pin is different from that of the mic hence, you will need an adapter to convert the pin to that type
@@africaamaze More film making content just like you've been giving it to us, hot-hot! 🔥😊😊 I have a question though; When I watched this video, I my eye fell in love the Wide Shot because of the way it was framed. I may not know the technical reason why i loved it, but I just love it! Now, when one gets to a location to shoot, what are the some of the things to consider before choosing a spot for the framing of the shot so that it will look aesthetically pleasing. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
@@ugochuqu it all begins with what you want. Hence, planning before getting to the location is very important. 2 major things influence my choice of location. Those are; lightening and story. But story is most important. You need to make sure the location and angle you chose advances the story. Hence you need to have visited the location at least once before going to shoot. That will offer you an opportunity to study the lightening and chose an angle that will advance the story.
That's a difficult request. Everyone's need in a camera is different. So, you first need to tell me the kind of videos you want to produce or is it images or a combination of both. Then, we will also need to discuss your budget. Only then, will I be able to give you the best advice

I will personally suggest a Panasonic GH4 or G7 paired with a speed booster to allow you to attach Canon EF 50mm and Canon 35mm lens

I did state that, most sound men hate long shots because it's hard to get close. It's either you use sound from close up shots or use lapels
