    Way easier to use your middle finger to pull the chips up

      I’ve been told but simply cannot wrap my head around it😂

    Instructions unclear… Now i’m shuffeling chips on the beanie on my head

      Pro tip. If shuffling on a beanie that is currently being worn, choose a friend with a flat head for the best results! While convenient, your own head is not recommended due to limiting your mobility. Hope this helps!

    Why is pinky and thumb your anchor point…
    Pink and finger as anchor, thumb and pointer for pulling the chips and middle finger to lift

      While learning I had to translate all the right handed steps to my left hand 😅 so I think I accidentally started shuffling differently and never noticed until now!

    I shuffle mine differently I use my I use my thumb on one side my pinky finger and ring finger on the other and then I lift with my index finger I've tried doing it differently but it's just natural habit now I'll probably never be able to change it

    • @PokerTown
      @PokerTown  4 місяці тому +1

      Yep! Same goes for me! Never realized there were different ways! Tbh I was watching right handed people shuffle so I think in my case I accidentally changed up how i was shown while trying to translate the movements over to my left hand! Now I couldn’t dream of shuffling differently

    I've always done it with my thumb and pinky on opposite ends and guided with my middle finger, but I max out around 2 stacks of 8. Might give this a shot to see if I like it better or can get to 2 stacks of 10.

      And? Any luck with this method? I usually do it the same way you described

      @@Lofize Sort of? It feels a bit wrong to me, but that may just be because I'm so used to the other. I think it would take a while to become proficient enough to make the switch worth it.

      I've come to realize I think I'm in the minority with how I shuffle! I can get up to 2 stacks of 12 this way but max out there more due to hand size/strength than anything else. So cool you gave this way a shot!

    • @PokerTown

      I think i might shuffle these strangely because I'm left handed but started learning with my right? the "how to shuffle" instructions might have gotten a little jumbled along the way

    I’ve never seen anyone shuffle chips this way. Thumb/index and ring/pinkie hold the chips and middle lifts. This method looks way more difficult and probably shouldn’t be taught to a noob.

    • @PokerTown
      @PokerTown  14 днів тому

      Yep, seems like everyone and their grandma shuffles differently than me. But as a noob this was the only way I could ever learn, maybe its due to having smaller hands or using my left hand for this trick but personally I cant wrap my head around the "normal" way

    How is it possible that no one making chip shuffling videos knows their finger names. "Your index and pointer finger..." ah yes of course...

    Whats middle finger doing?

    • @PokerTown
      @PokerTown  9 місяців тому

      It helps hold and control one of the chip stacks together with the pointer finger:) as the ring finger lifts the inside edge of both chip stacks the remaining fingers work to push together the stacks into their new formation! Hope this helps:)

      do ittttttt! Just make sure they're nicely weighted! Something around 10g per chip is great to shuffle! (Monte Carlo chips are around 14g which I personally love but is heavier than a Casino regulated chip)

      ever been to a casino? It's part of the background noise

    • @rosetank
      @rosetank Рік тому +1

      @PokerWithJulia yep plenty and yes it is the background noise of casinos when people are placing bets and collecting their winnings, so why do you feel the need to add to it? I've also been to a couple of casinos where unless your placing a bid your not to touch the chips during a hand and any act of doing so is considered to be raising your bid or to call

      damn I really couldn't disagree more with you. shuffling chips is my favourite part of the ambiance, a perfect fidget, been the start of many a fun conversation and even a few friendships. its not a horrible habit, its the best part of the poker lifestyle and I get excited every time a new person learns:)
