Even though many teams score 300+ runs in present cricket matches, it was a hard task in the 80s and 90s. It was in 1992 where a team chasing 300+ runs first successfully won a match. Dye to retired of mendis, madugalla, roy and wettamuni, those places overtaking by hasan,Mahanama, Gurusinghe and santha.Most of the matches were wash a way with rain.on the other hand other teams were outstanding with huge names and legends. As a young imaging lads 1992 word cup were very good experience for SL. It was path way for 1996 victory.

We won two games in this World Cup. Vs Zimbabwe and South Africa. Unfortunately Aravinda failed throughout the World Cup , if not we could have grabbed at least another victory .
