I've had Pentecostal preachers in my family my entire life, including my grandfather, grandmother as well as uncles and aunts, if you can imagine that? I was definitely raised and lived Pentecostal. I've been a Seventh-Day Adventist for 6 years now, Praise God! Sorry to say this looks and sounds total Pentecostal to me and actually made me feel quite uncomfortable and heartbroken watching it, because it was very reminiscent of what I have been called out of. Oh how I sincerely pray that many will come out from underneath the false Shepherds that do not spare the flock. Edit: I spent many years in the Pentecostal faith, this type of expression and worship never felt right and never did flow freely out of me, in fact it made me feel very uneasy, especially when my grandfather or grandmother was at the pulpit, I know🤦♂️. I have since became an SDA 6 years strong and I praise God everyday for the calling out. 🙂👍 I believe the Holy Spirit was speaking to me all along about it.

The message and the performance denotes a misconception of Who The Holy Spirit is and how He works. He is leading His church. As a Seventh Day Adventist, I am aware of the reverence I need to have for Him and that the Day He chooses to manifest His Power in His church, when His bride in humility is ready to shed the worldly attire, paintings and self-worship, He will fill her with sin-consuming power. Elijah didn't need a performance for God to answer him. It was the false worshipers that thought they needed to make a lot of noise until they were weary, trying to appease their God. A humble, obedient life different from that of the false prophets/prophetesses is all Elijah needed. Sis White got it right. The Holy Spirit is God. We would do well to reverence Him.

I’m reading these comments and wondering if many of the writers expect people to be stoic in church (or anywhere), as if when the Holy Spirit touches someone’s heart we can just remain the same way we were before it happened. While I don’t believe an expression of my worship should be an act, I have experienced that my genuine, sincere worship can create a reaction in me that others may find “too much.” But you can’t control my expression of gratitude for what God has done and who He has been in my life. Sometimes, Christians major in the minors instead of allowing the Holy Spirit to interpret what would influence our character. I’m so glad that God doesn’t look at us the way we look at each other. His love is transforming in incredible ways! How about Romans 4, if you are looking for scripture. 2 Timothy 1:9, 2 Corinthians 2:14. To name a few

I would be uncomfortable enough to walk out of this “sermon.” She is screeching at the congregation, in a frenzy to get Her point across. Where is the reverence, the true humility, and sacred joy, with which we need come into Almighty God’s holy presence? Some May like this style of worship- I find it sadly lacking in the atmosphere of the Holy Spirit. Yes, it resembles the prophets of Baal who tried in vain to call down fire from Heaven. Isaiah needed an Angel to place a hot coal on his lips when he caught a glimpse of God in His Heavenly temple. First of all the Bible doesn't support women pastors at the pulpit. Our GC has already voted on this more than once. It’s so easy to point fingers and bring others down. How many times did Jesus have to rebuke and correct Peter for his impulsive statements? Yet, Jesus did not denounce his calling.

I’m reading these comments and wondering if many of the writers expect people to be stoic in church (or anywhere), as if when the Holy Spirit touches someone’s heart we can just remain the same way we were before it happened. While I don’t believe an expression of my worship should be an act, I have experienced that my genuine, sincere worship can create a reaction in me that others may find “too much.” But you can’t control my expression of gratitude for what God has done and who He has been in my life. Sometimes, Christians major in the minors instead of allowing the Holy Spirit to interpret what would influence our character. I’m so glad that God doesn’t look at us the way we look at each other. His love is transforming in incredible ways! How about Romans 4, if you are looking for scripture. 2 Timothy 1:9, 2 Corinthians 2:14. To name a few

Where is the reverence, the true humility, and sacred joy, with which we need come into Almighty God’s holy presence? Some May like this style of worship- I find it sadly lacking in the atmosphere of the Holy Spirit. Yes, it resembles the prophets of Baal who tried in vain to call down fire from Heaven. First of all the Bible doesn't support women pastors at the pulpit. Our GC has already voted on this more than once.
