Thanks Raffaella! I’m honoured that your first ever taste of macadamias was from my farm. Hopefully you took home enough to get all of northern Italy to fall in love with them!!
@@nutkinfarm I planted the three macadamia nuts in a pot, now I'm waiting for them to grow. As soon as I have some positive news, I'll send you photos.
@@raffaellasoligo5605have the nuts spouted? I planted a few nuts once and they sprouted. One I placed in my yard and it’s growing strong. I doubt it will drop a nut.
What a great video with fantastic advice for new potential buyers . Walking your farm also gives you a great workout and buns of Steel 😊. Good to see your high Spirits given recent challenges .
Rising interest rates, the end of lockdowns and declining nut prices has crushed demand for macadamia farms. Maybe one day there will real value out there. A few farms we looked at in 2022 are still on the market and some have dropped their asking price. It’s difficult to say how much a macadamia farm is worth now.
I hope you know that the moment you succeed in your own search, Sam, you and I are going to do the best Macadamia Show ever - if you can bear to tell the tale!
Matti, I have to confess that at the very start of my own search I did let that impress me a little. Graeme Fleming got me over that phase ;-) . Ironically the agent who sold me Nutkin knew nothing about macadamias, so there you go!
@@nutkinfarm that’s probably good that the agent knew nothing of macadamias. My introduction was “it’s easy money” 5minutes later “you need help” - Red flag 🚩 Nearly 4,000 trees later Proved him wrong
@@mattikelby5571 Macadamias have never been “easy money” from what I can see. But you’ll always find someone willing to tell you money grows on trees… To give my agent some credit, he was advocating redevelopment of Nutkin into an eco retreat with cabins everywhere. When I said I wanted to farm he clearly did some googling and informed me “you know, there are some new varieties about to come out”. Oh really?
Hi Daniel, your Farm is wonderful we spent the most beautiful days of our holiday in Australia. hope to see you soon, Raffaella Paolo and Giorgia

That's very kind of you Golden. Not sure my buns are steel but they got a good workout as I filmed!
You will have to come up and I can show you how we do things
You can't imagine how much I want to do that Trent. I'll have to organise a road trip. It's about 6 hours' drive to Bundaberg but I'll find a way..
