She's amazing. She's going to go to the top of the country music charts. I expect her to win a Grammy soon.
This recording was from a few years ago. The song has evolved to new heights with her current band of Joshua Rilko (mandolin), Oliver Craven (guitar/fiddle) and bassist Geoff Saunders. I really miss Josie Toney....her harmonizing, plus her fiddle playing were excellent. Sure wish they coulda made it a 5 piece band....

@@CorneiliusLibowitz I miss her too. Josey has been pursuing her own music. I hope she will still be around. I miss their vocals and comraderie on stage.

@@annagrisham2215 For whatever reason she left the band, methinks she woulda gotten more recognition by staying in it. I've followed some of her post SF band stuff, and honestly, trying to strike it out on her own mighta been a professional mistake.

Josie is not singing an octave. She’s singing a high third (A4) over Sierra’s root (F4).
She didn't write this ...I believe it's an folk traditional perhaps from the 20s many many artist you've heard of have done this ...Grateful Dead doc Watson billy strings .etc etc. But Sierra is the best thing to happen in grassfolk/Americana/bluegrass country in so long her live shows are amazing. She will be in arenas filled before to much longer

I dont think its voice, but i first thought was Loretta Lynn. I think it would of been better with the tempo slowed down. Shes got an amazing voice. 😊

I like it better faster. UA-cam has her performance from Newport Folk Festival of this song. I fell in love with her when I first saw it.
