This isn't just the story of how Deku becomes the greatest hero, because we see Shigaraki learn and grow as a villain as well. Back during Season 1, he would've never thought to ask someone for advice, but after being beaten and out staged by Stain, he realized he'd need allies and have to listen to other people. Him and Deku mirror each other. And that's why I love MHA. We get to see the villains grow as well as the heroes.
Something you guys notice is another part of Shigaraki's point. Notice how no one batted an eye at what was happening to Deku. Because realistically, someone would have noticed that. But because heroes exist, they assume that someone would eventually help him. I believe it's the 'bystander effect' or at least something similar.

I hope you're ready because next season will be crazy!!! Especially the first arc. That one will cause a major change to the hero society and to the series itself.

Yeah, the talk he had with Deku in this episode really caused him to grow as a villain and have a much wider perspective on things.

As creepy as Shigaraki is, he is much cooler without all the random hands. I love Toga and Dabi, I can't wait to get more scenes of them!
