It's so funny to watch their reaction knowing that Italy has actually WON 🇮🇹
I actually had the same opinion about this song before I heard I wanna be your slave. Now this band is my favorite in the world. And this performance is crazily amazing)
The anger of Italy after a year of pandemic.
U are right ahahahahah
And the love of Europe & Australia. 😊😍
Spoiler alert: Italy has even heaviest hard rock bands. So get rid of this stereotype of Italy having only romantic singer.

We presented everything to Eurovision: pop, pop opera, jazz, ballads, catchy songs and powerful lyrics. Nothing let us win. Now we will go for rock, and it will be fun anyway. It’s time for a change. 🤘🏼
@@alexandradiaconu2037 grazie
Maneskins cannot be compared to Finland because they are two completely different types of rock. their piece is a masterpiece , without a doubt. the message inside the song is " we (young people) want to distinguish ourselves from a wrong society that suffocates us ", we want to break the rules! Maneskin represents a revolution for Sanremo , because they have always won the ballads and let’s not forget that they are 20 years old. To love Maneskin you must also love and know the rock genre with all its nuances.
In 1993 won another rock song by Enrico Ruggeri with "Mistero" but not so hard. ;)

This is not music, sorry. Even Ozzy Osbourne's rock song are very melodic.
Maneskin's song is a strange mix of genres. A country mood + Metallica's guitar sound + rap.
@@denielll43 it is original, a masterpiece. It's new and fresh. It as melody, rap.....it's glam rock and easy to sing along: SIAMO FUORI DI TESTA MA DIVERSI DA LORO🤣🤣🤣....... it is strange how music develops and some people are stuck to their old point.
The fact that we are discussing about rock states the uge impact this song is having.
It is a pity not to have it performed with the audience.
It is your opinion, the legends of rock are the legends of rock: it is a legend the simple fact that Italy for the first time and due to the times is going rock.
As for the song:
1) It's pure rock: guitar, bass, drums and a VOICE;
2) From the opening to the end it's a crescendo and an involving repeting, with variations of the musical pattern, with a bass solo of awesome ability;
3) The voice and the mixing of rap convey the new concept of "FLOW", that means the flowing from one musical style in to another (Mahmood teaches);
4) Staging and performance are great because of perfect costumes and lighting;
5) The interpratation and the power of the lead singer who has enough breath to sing AN amazing number of words without any apparent effort;
6) The powerful message that the italians and the people of Europe and of the world will get through musical italian words.
I do not want to write more.... this is sublime and A history marker in esc.
They can classify last, Italy will not win for sure, but we did it again and we will always do.🤗🤗🤗😘😘😘❤❤🇮🇹🇮🇹😘😘🤗

I understand that you don't like this kind of music and I respect it, but please, in Italy we want to get out of the stereotype of Italians who only sing love ballads and things like that. The Maneskin victory was a revolution for young Italians, for years and years young people in Italy have no way of expressing their voice if this voice is different from the "boomers generation", which is why so many young artists go abroad to to be able to work! The fact that a rock band has finally had recognition at a festival that has notoriously crushed every singer who has come out of the "ballad" scheme is really important to us and I would like the world to know that Italians can make good music of any genre!
Thanks for your comment, just for how united you all are about this entry we want it to do well!
In times of pandemics At 2.00 Of the night The children were still on their feet and took the remote control to vote Next time go out 😉No joke. When I listened to the song torno a casa I understand that they are talents👍 Unfortunately that the song for Esc is not that
Just for saying, their “costumes” are designed by Etro, so yes, there’s a lot of Italian glam going on. Sanremo has still a big hype here, it’s something you can compare to Grammy’s. Attending singers are normally dressed by Armani, Versace, D&G etc, with a different outfit for every of the 3 nights they perform; they’re there to win Sanremo for the prestige this brings to their own career. Eurovision comes as a plus. That’s what sets Italy apart, and that’s why the country always brings high quality music, liking it or not.
Te si ama ragazzo!!!
It's always fun to see how shocked people are upon finding out that Italian music is not, in fact, exclusively made of melodic ballads.
I hope Maneskin will rock Rotterdam :)
Perhaps you should be used to rock to understand the 5 different sections of this song. It's not just the same part repeated as you said, there's strings, there's a funky section, there's grunge, and the lyrics justify his angry singing. It's glam rock with funk and rap and the melody is quite clear. You are generally not that shallow to filter the music heritage of a country through clichés. Rock music has a long history in Italy since the early 70es. Some of the finest european prog rock bands of the 70es and 80es were italians.. Rock groups like Litfiba are legendary in italy. Moreover Maneskin also sing other styles. They major hit is "Torna a casa" that sold zillions and it's a ballad with a hint of italian rock. I would have prefered the entry of Madame - Voce, but this one serves well..

yeah like I live in the UK and have been asked "if we have whole wheat pasta". I think that the anglo-saxon world should realize that Italy is not older Italian chilling on a chair outdoor wearing a tank top. That is the only thing they want to see.
How funny to watch it now after Italy won 😂 Especially "how many songs like that ever finished high?"
I totally understand & respect that this style of music is not something that either of you find enjoyable, nontheless it's a high quality rock composition performed with passion & energy, in a genre with a clear niche of fans, that stands out from other entries in people's memories, & like most of Italy's other recent entries is very likely to land in the top 10 in the Grand Final. The fan community's response to this has been very positive, & they don't usually love rock & metal entries. If we closely analyse the results of the most recent decade of contests, It's actually very rare that the top ten has more than 1 or 2 dance-bangers in it & we all have to just deal with the fact that many of the songs we like will probably finish lower than ones we don't.
... tell me what you smoke?
Maneskin have completely change the musical standards in Italy and make them more free and rock and in Italy in this moment, with another stage of the pandemic starting here, we really need a sense of changing and freedom that their music brought to us. So thank you maneskin for changing everything at least musically in Italy 🇮🇹 we re gonna win this year ✌🏻🎊🎊

Is it true Italy had a good rock scene in the 1970s?
Grazie Mille Italia for bringing this on the Eurovision stage❤️!
I honestly don't understand, in the past 10 years Italy has brought to Eurovision lots of different genres by bringing Francesca Michielin, Il Volo, Gabbani Occidentali's karma, Mahmood... we literally never won. We bring a different kind of song and we still get criticized? Like seriously lol what are we supposed to do lmao
Just bring the beautiful italian music. Who knows to apreciate it will do it! I kept listening to the songs Italy sent to Eurovision every time even if they haven't won.
I don't get Italians complaining about never winning, you guys have been consistently at the top ever since coming back! I mean there's a lot of other countries who haven't won in the past decade, there's a lot of countries that struggle to even get to the left side of the score board lol. Eurofans love Italy! I'm just glad you didn't send Meta again as beautiful as his voice is
@@rhoeasie a lot of Italians really feel the competition, and the fact that a couple of times we were "robbed by juries" doesn't help, especially when generic swedish pop gets lots of votes. What Maneskin have done is amazing. This is the new rock. Rock in Italy is not appreciated from everybody but THEY ARE LOVED FROM EVERYBODY IN ITALY. It's the first time that a rock song wins Sanremo. I listened to the Finland song and I have to say that we have a different idea of rock. It's not a repetition what you heard, what you heard it's a message they want to bring to the eurovision. I honestly don't know what you want from Italy at Eurovision. First you say that we should make a revolution in our style and now you say you want the italian ballads. I think you should listen this song more often. I just want to say one last thing... THIS GUYS ARE 21 YEARS OLD.
Thanks for your comment! I think we said in the recap that we love how Italy always brings something totally different and we really appreciate that. Unfortunately, we just don't get this genre at all! We wish it all the best, but most of all it's amazing seeing how excited Italian people are that this is their entry!
Yeah they are never happy about our artists, but we know that this is just because they don't want to let italy win. That's the only reason.

Italy, Roman Empire/Venetian empire/Genoa, and more led Europe and changed the world. The rest of Europe are just trying to be the USA.
Whatever genre Italy sends to Eurovision we never seem to be able to win, so FUCK IT this year we're sending Maneskin to destroy that eurovison stage. And believe me when I tell you that Maneskin live will make everyone's asses shake, their energy is just UNMATCHED
I feel like that most of the people who comments our choice as who win Sanremo tend to forget that we do not choose people to go to Eurovision. Sanremo was here even before Eurovision. Eurovision took Sanremo's model. When we watch Sanremo, and we enjoy Sanremo we don't think about Eurovision not even once. This year was an unprecedented time for Sanremo, for the first time we had so many young and new artists showcasing so many different genres that are usually 'not allowed' in Sanremo. For us, the new generation, a song like the one the Maneskin brought, is a breath of fresh air and the release of all the tension that we've been having in the country. Zitti e Buoni is what our professors, parents, authoritative figures in our lives say to us to make us quiet and to silence us. It is a critique to our society that doesn't take into consideration the younger generation, which may sound cliché and generic, but it's actually very effective. You actually proved the aim of this song, because at one point they go 'parla, la gente purtroppo parla, non sa di cosa parla' which means 'unfortunately people talk about things they don't know about', and I mean, I think it's very fitting.
Non avrei saputo dirlo meglio, grazie infinite🔥

maneskins don't just rock They are very appreciated for Damiano's ability to interpret songs such as Torno a casa and vent'anni , doesn't matter if they don't win Esc. The victory is the fact that the Italian song festival like Sanremo is very conventional the Maneskin have managed to pass the selections to have the votes of the jury
6:05 They're super famous in Italy, their most famous song "Torna a casa" has 77.5 Million Streams on Spotify, so you know there will be some comments coming xD

Also vent'anni It's a beautiful song
Also, it's good to remember that Sanremo Festival is not held to choose Italy's Eurovision entry! It's a 70+ years old music festival that precedes the creation of Eurovision and on which Eurovision is actually based. The fact that the winner gets to go represent Italy at Eurovision is like a cool "plus" ✨❤️

Every year we change; pop,ballad,rap...and this year rock! I like because in this song we find a mix of rock, pop and rap. Fantastic the violins !
I think that the fact that is song won is a sign that italy after this pandemic is changing , it has the will to change to start again, to be a rebel and to show to the rest of the world that we can be more than the usual predictable people.
In fact, rock is a philosophy beyond music. Rock is rebellious, it is more important to mind and heart rather than sound good. These young people feel this philosophy deeply at a young age and shout out to all of Europe. Even people who don't understand their language can feel it in their hearts. This is rock. I hope Maneskin continues to scream. Whatever the outcome. Rock doesn't expect appreciation. Loves from Turkey. Thanks for the reaction video :)

The irony. I was thinking the opposite thing this whole damn time, and I don’t mean tastes in music, tastes can and should be different. Damiano himself is an ultimate crown prince of italian culture. His manners, his energy, his eccentricities. He is absolutely authentic. that was literally my first thought when I saw him. Yes, he is rocking it his way, obviously, luckily, but the rebellion itself is a part of the very same deal, you can’t creat something good without changing the course somehow. But you can actually see centuries through him, that is fascinating.

It was ok for me on the firts go, but a week later I'm so into it! Måneskin got me fangirling like I'm sixteen again. I'm so glad I discovered this amazing band. The vocalist is my new bisexual crush.
I totally respect your opinion, but here in Italy is very meaningful that a band like Måneskin had won Sanremo. In a country like Italy that is stuck in its traditions and refuses to listen to young people, a band like Måneskin winning Sanremo is a little revolution!
What make people enjoy a rock song is the sickening beat, the anger, the message, the bass....This band exuded so much energy and confidence, authenticity. These guys are 21 years old, and we are all jealous about this level of energy ....... This was my favourite, after 15 months of pandemic, being repressed. I guess the public vote disagreed with your taste :-)
No matter how much you disliked this song, the majority of the voting public voted for them . I am happy that this song won and has in 1 week over 40 million views, and charts on spotify in many countrys+they even won the Eurostory Best Lyric Award 2021
Maneskin won Eurovision 2021. Now they represent a pride for Italy.
In fact many tv shows and magazines from every countries of Europe (and even in other parts of the world) are curious about these very young boys that began their musical adventure like simple buskers in the streets of Rome.
It's kinda disappointing to see Eurovision fans criticize Italian participants for not being fit for Eurovision. Come on :) Sanremo winners (usually) go to ESC and Sanremo is all about Italian music and don't care about ESC.
So glad Maneskin won!!! so funny to watch this reaction a year later. All love and hugs to you two ❤️

Come on guys...listen to this song 5 6 times... And you'll see this is a masterpiece, and the winner this year
I'm all over it! 😝 It's amazing
I understand that you didn't like the song, in fact it's strange that here in Italy such a song has won Sanremo and until a few years ago it would have been impossible. Moreover, even here not everyone has appreciated the verdict and there are those who consider it simply "a noise".
On the other hand, last year with Diodato we brought a traditional melodic song and even in that case the choice was criticized as "too conservative", this year we went in the opposite direction (and in my opinion it's not a bad thing).
I don't say anything about the chances of winning, but after the disappointments of recent years I fear that Italy will never win the ESC regardless of the song in the race.
Greetings from Italy and thanks in any case for the reaction!
Italy is my #1 again this year. In the same way that Diodato was my #1 last year. This rock song is par excellence, no doubt about it. Italy just can't go wrong regardless of the genre.

And yes, all Europe fans will fall in love with Damiano, sign my words ;)
At least we didn't shock you! 🤣
Thank you for your comment, it's always great that Italy brings something different each year!
@@ToyAndGoy respect for all reactions! I like to think that music is a personal feeling :) thanks for the answer, I love your reaction videos and... have a good Eurovision!
Back to this comment to appreciate the prediction of heart attacks caused by Damiano
I will have a blast reacting to all the people that didn't expect Italy to send a rock band 🤣.
Anyway I can understand that this is not your cup of tea, and I'm afraid that most of eurofans will feel the same way, but as an Italian I'm really happy that Sanremo chose something different this year (I think it's the first rock song ever)
Do not lose that pride and faith in your country's song! It's so lovely to see the support for the entry!
@@ToyAndGoy I wont 😂.
If you ever want to listen to another Maneskin song to get to know them better, their most famous is "Torna a casa" and it's much slower...it's a ballad and I think that you might like it.
That's the song that made them famous, the music video has more than 100million views 👀
I forgot: I'm sorry for all the dislikes you have taken, you don't deserve them, you are nice and honest. A hug to you both ♥️
No apology necessary, the Italian people have been lovely towards us! Purely on that, we want this song to do well!
If you can’t see the italian chic in this you are blind
Måneskin's rock is another type of rock that cannot be compared to Finland, it's italian rock like Litfiba songs, but stronger
What is Litfiba? Is that a band?
@@tlacorp.3813 Yeah, it's an italian 80s rock band from Florence
among all the stereotypes you didn't say that we Italians have a great aesthetic sense ... and sorry guys ... but looking at your look my aesthetic sense is definitely dead. a big hug.
Plot twist: they won
this song represents how we Italians feel after a year of pandemic. it's a song fueled by anger, but also by the desire to escape from this "forced immobility" 🤘🏻
Måneskin began their musical career by performing on the streets of Rome. They came second to XFactor Italy in 2017. They released the album 'il ballo della vita' (The dance of life) in 2018, which won three platinum records.
This song is a hymn of freedom against all the people who want us to remain 'zitti e buoni' (silent and good) and against people who don't want us to rebel against injustices.
Italy presents itself at Eurovision with an expression of new and modern music. Will it be the right year?
🇮🇹❤️
🤣🤣🤣 surprise!!!! They are young, they are talented, Damiano owns the stage so they deserve an international audience! Rock is not for everybody but this is a good compromise, I like them
Melodic songs are not the only italian songs, fortunately. We have pop, rock, rap, trap and so on. I hate clichés, expecially about my country and there are too many clichés about Italy.
Ormai ci ho rinunciato
The victory of Måneskin is more beatiful surprise of this difficult period for our country. All Italy enjoy for this result.
Thanks for your reaction guys, we needed it. Last time you didn't like an Italian singer for Eurovision he was Mahmood. So this is the best good luck you could wish to Italy! Thank you! ❤️♥️♥️
Hahaha, that is true!! He really grew on us and we adore him now!
@@ToyAndGoy guys you did it again!!! But this time much better!! Thank you!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@ToyAndGoy You should / could react to "Torna a casa" by Maneskin if you want to hear something different from them. I mean, they are still a rock band, but you can enjoy the softer side of Damiano's voice in that. Also note that the lyrics are quite deep and personal, and his singing style is reflecting what he's saying (this is why he's not all clean notes and 'Belcanto').
Can i just say something...i might have had the same reaction during this performance a couple of days ago but now it's my number 1. Give it a chance people !!!
Italy always brings something different to the table and that's why they're my nummber 1 AGAIN this year. VIVA L'ITALIAAAAAAAAA!
These two guys are like juries!!
So this must change!!
I don't like rock music but THIS IS A MASTERPIECE!!!
ahahahah, but in the end Italy won ahahahah
Ok you're two of my favorite reactioner for Eurovision but that's the first time I put a dislike on your Channel. I understad that this is not your cup of tea (and neither mine ) but "where's the italians chic?" , like what? Cant you see the way they are dressed? Damiano voice? (So rouge and sexy but still clear) The make up? The way all the group seems so strong and powerfull? THAT'S is the true Italians chic! Not the stereotipical ballad, not just the romantic songs and the soft voices.
This quote from the song is dedicated to you "Parla, la gente purtroppo parla. Non sa di che cosa parla" 😆 they are the winners 🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊
Sanremo is not done for Eurovision, everyone should remember that. Every year we choose the song we like best and that reflects the music trends of the moment in Italy. Måneskin are very young, very talented and are a mixture of rock/funky beat. This song talks about the rebellion against prejudices people have when they face something new or different. The message of a new generation should be always heard not kept in silence. As for the result at Eurovision contest, I think they will do well. I hope they can be as high as possible in the top ten but the thing I hope most is that a lot of Europeans can be positively affected by their good music. I really think they can be a very strong act. Moreover they're very glamorous and cool and the lead singer, Damiano David, is very charismatic. Sorry it's not your cup of tea but I hope it'll be for others around Europe.
Måneskin is fantastic! His voice is just such a gem. They will be in the top 10 or top 5, trust me.
I love this song!!!!!!!!!!!
My favourites are France and Italy👏👏
"What is that?!" It's rock, guys! You're free not to like it... but that's all it is! Rock n' roll with a 70s glam vibe.
Victory burns. They have won everything
Viva l'Italia 🇮🇹🔥
I like your honesty about your reaction! I really love maneskin and I think their rock is amazing!
In the beginning I thought you disliked the song 'cause it was bad, but then I realized you simply don't like the genre, so it's understandable!
In Italy there's a saying: "The world is beautiful because it's diverse!". If everyone love the same things everything would be so boring! XD
I read some mean comments so I'm sorry, people shouldn't be mean to you just for an opinion!
Bye! :)
Finland is just decent mainstream rock band, but maneskin with zitti e bouni is perfection with an outstanding performance, that's why i will vote first time in eurovision and hope they will win. Of course everyone's taste for music is diferent, but to watch this reaction video now, then they are predicted winners was pretty entertaining :D
Italiani!!! 🇮🇹
⬇️
Vai a vedere

FIRST REACTION: SHOCK
Sorry I just wanted to say that Sanremo's festival is not a competition created just to choose a song for Eurovision. It was born way before it and now the winner has the opportunity to go to Eurovision, if they want. Just wanted to clarify that it's an italian tradition not just a festival to choose the Eurovosion's song.
I've watched all 5 Sanremo nights. When they performed it for the first time (you guys used it on your reaction) i wasn't into it. But their next 2 performances was on fire, final performance was the best. Now I'm in love with them, my 1st place so far. Yes, I understand you don't like this type of music, but believe me this one is totally quality rock, with strong music, vocals, energy, lyrics. I'm sure they will slay esc stage and finish so high, maybe even win. We haven't rock winner since Lordy, these guys have potential to do it, everything depends on their performans.
BTW I suggest you to watch all San remo acts if you want to refresh your playlist. There are plenty of brilliant songs
Thank you for your comment, and we wish the song all the best! The song isn't our cup of tea, but it has clearly made a big impact on the Italian people and that is something so special to see! Seeing you all so proud of your representing song is something I can only dream of here in the UK!
